Excellent quality best band for the buck I was looking for a touring jacket for a cooler weather and all the good jackets were too expensive for me. I decided to see what type of quality this jacket is and honestly I couldn't be happier. I'm 6'3 225lbs and wearing size xl. It fits like a glove plush it had a lot of adjustability to suit many body styles. March 15, 2015
Great Jacket I bought this jacket with the main purpose of using it as a 3 season jacket and have not been disappointed. I have used it in weather from 20F to mid 50F and remained very comfortable. Most of my daily riding is on the highway, so 60-80mph and even at those speeds I stay warm and can continue riding without issue. I would say that the coat does run slightly small. Based on the sizing chart, as I was on the high end of the small size but went with a medium based on other reviews and it fits perfectly. I know some people have complained about to much airflow, but when the jacket is zipped to the pants, you can significantly reduce this airflow. Additionally, the quality of the jacket at this price point can't be beat. March 9, 2015
Great 3 Season Jacket This jacket meets my needs for a 3 season jacket (Fall, Winter & Spring). It does not have enough air flow for warm weather climates or the Summer. I have another jacket I use for Summer. The Andes jacket was fine when I used it in the Fall. When it was warmer, I removed the liner and opened the vents on the jacket, which don't vent directly to the body. This was enough to help during those warmer Fall days. I don't ride much in the winter, but did ride on those days hovering in the low 40's and the jacket kept me warm and comfortable. Have not used it in Spring yet, but believe this jacket will be fine. As far as fit, I am 5'10", 44 chest and weigh 200lbs, so I ordered a size XL. This size is a great fit, it is comfortable but not baggy. It fits like a motorcycle jacket should and is well made. I never used it in the rain, so I am not able to review how it handles rain. Overall, I am very pleased with this jacket. February 17, 2015
Great, quality jacket I wore a Tourmaster Transition jacket for 5 years and it was very good, but the Andes is great. The permanent Drystar liner keeps it from being a hot weather, summer jacket but it's just right for the other three seasons. I've only worn it in the winter so far and it's done well down in the mid-20'sF. I'm confident it'll be fine in the single digits too. The material and craftsmanship is excellent, a notch above my Tourmaster. I've ridden in the rain a few times and the waterproofing is excellent, a benefit of the Drystar liner. I'd buy this jacket again and highly recommend it for the $250 price I paid. January 6, 2015
Not as waterproof as claimed. First major storm in SoCal and I got soaked. The front of the jacket does not seal up as rain tight as I'd hope for. Also, the "waterproof" wallet pocket is not waterproof. There is no waterproof membrane sealing the interior wallet pocket like the front two lower pockets. It's also not "behind" the waterproof layer in the jacket, so calling it a waterproof wallet pocket was very false advertising. Keep that in mind if you place your phone there like I did. Great jacket for cold weather and rain I bought it thinking of a bit of rain while commutin and having descent protection (bought separately the inserts). The jacket is great, I've been using it for a year now and have endured heavy rains for the greater part of 4 hour trips in cold weather (5-7 °C, somewhere between 2600-3000 meters above sea level) with the liner. I usually dont wear the liner while commuting but I do when having weekend trips involving high mountain rides and/or high speed freeways. I was amazed by how warm the jacket keeps me with the liner and how well ventilated it is without it. I have one little problem with the jacket (otherwise would have been a perfect bang for the buck review). The right shoulder protection seems to be in the wrong place. I have tried everything to put it in place and nothing works. I even tried a friends similar jacket to see if the problem was my right arm (I play tennis and the diference is noticeable) but other jackets protection stay in place no problem. In this case the protection goes to te back part of my sholder leaving most of it unprotected. Luckily it isn´t uncomfortable. Size wise: I am 6'6" 220 lbs with what I consider very long arms and the 2XL fits perfectly (except for right shoulder protection). December 10, 2014
The best jacket i could have ever wanted I got this jacket last year in prep for getting my motorcycle license. till then i used it as my off-road winter jacket and it worked like a charm. i live near Vancouver so our winter consists of heavy fog, rain (and a lot of it) and really cold temperatures. and the jacket keeps me nice and toasty warm and dry to add to the awesomeness! it has a lot of pockets for all my little gadgets i take with me on my rides. my sole complaint is the jacket performance in warmer weather conditions. with the insulation inside the air flow isn't great. so if i'm stopped at a stop light i get quite warm really quickly and while moving air doesn't get to the skin very well so cooling down takes time. with the fleece removed airflow is still pretty bad but makes the jacket a bit more bearable. id say this jacket is the perfect 3 season's jacket. and you can wear it into the early weeks of summer but that all matters where you live. the hi viz is very visible too so drivers will definitely see you coming by. i highly recommend this jacket for anyone who rides in colder weather and or in rain. best bang for your buck by my standards. This product is awesome!!! This product is awesome in every way possible!!! The only questions I have are is the jacket a unisex jacket because I ended up with 2 brand new jackets from 2 different websites, the zipper zips up on the left side and the women's jacket has an extra reflective label on the front and rear of the jacket... I would really like to know if I am wearing a woman's jacket or not!!! September 8, 2014

Brett B: Great, high quality three season jacket. This is perfect for fall, spring, and winter. With the liner, I wore this in single digit temperatures without a problem. The weather proofing works well. It's not good when the temps hit 80F+. I love this jacket and highly recommend it. May 4, 2015

David B: Very happy with this jacket. I commute inland from a coastal climate so having something warm year round is important. This jacket is toasty in the morning fog, but not too warm if it's 75 out when I'm heading home. Plenty of pockets for storage, and if it does get really warm, the liner zips out easily. The front and back vents aren't as effective as a jacket that doesn't have an integrated waterproof liner, but they definitely help. Overall, very happy. May 28, 2014

A shopper asked: Does this jacket come with a liner for cold weather? If so, is it removable in order to wear the jacket in warm weather? Thanks. Mar 12, 2014

Jason O: Yes, the jacket does come with a removable liner. I've kept the liner in all Winter and the jacket is very comfortable and warm. I highly recommend it. (FYI, regarding sizing, I am 5’ 9” with a 42” inch chest and size L fits perfectly.) Mar 14, 2014

Eric K: Yes on both counts--the liner is removable, and without it the jacket is good for warm days (though probably not super hot ones). With the liner, the jacket is quite warm, suitable for temperatures near freezing or even a little below. Mar 14, 2014

and it has another liner not removable that has the drystar which is the waterproof liner.

A S asked: 5'-11" 275. 42" waist and 30" sleeve. What would be the best fit? Looking at 3XL. Jul 28, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Joel M: I'm 6'5" 270 and I wear a 3XL. It just about perfect for me, with a little room for a lyre or two under. The sleeves are likely a little long for you, but gloves will probably keep them at bay. I also never tighten the elbows; I imagine that could help with the sleeves being baggy as we'll. good luck. Jul 28, 2014

Joel M: I'm 6'5" 270. I'm very happy with my 3XL. I've got room for a layer or two under. The sleeves are a little long when not wearing gloves and off the bike. They might be a little exaggerated for you, but the elbow straps might help keep the cuffs back off your hands. Jul 28, 2014

Dmitry K: I'm 5'-11'' 210. 33" waist. I got an XL and it a bit bigger that I need but L was way too small. I decided to stay with XL and pretty happy with the jacket during 40-60 weather Jul 30, 2014

Joseph R asked: The XL (54 euro) size is 106-110cm. Converted that is 41.7"-43.3". I am 5'11" 195lb with a 44" chest. Would I be an XL or XXL? I usually wear a L in tourmaster Feb 3, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Javier L: Awesome jacket! However, the sizing runs on the tight end. Order a size larger than what you normally wear. The Large will be too tight. You should go with the XL. Feb 4, 2015

Thanyaporn H: I dont know if I can post it on their website. I will try. I can also tell you I love this Jacket. I have this and a first gear heated liner. Last week the temp (before wind chill) was -4. The combo plugged in was toasty. This jacket alone seems to keep me warm in the low teens. My only complaint is the neck fastening. But that could be because of my neck. Jan 29, 2014

Raul E asked: Can I upgrade the armor? Can I add back protection to it? If Yes, which armor do you recommend? Mar 19, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Darren L: Yes you can upgrade the armor. I think the CE1 shoulder and elbow armor included is sufficient so I left those as is. The back foam I replaced with upgraded armor from Alpinestars, the one I have is discontinued though. Look at the Alpinestars Nucleon back armor. I have a small jacket and used the medium back armor. Contact Revzilla to see if back armor sizing is the same on the Nucleon. Mar 19, 2015
