AGV Numo Helmet

The AGV NUMO Modular Helmet is perfect for city and touring use with its rich array of standard features and top performance in terms of comfort, dimensions, safety and functionality. The Numo Helmet is the ideal helmet for those in search of the aesthetics and safety of a fullface helmet and the practicality of an open helmet, in a combination that can also boast leading technical innovations and Italian production.

The design of the Numo helmet largely reflects that of AGV’s latest innovations, like Horizon and Skyline helmets. With the chinbar in the closed position, the performance is that of a fullface helmet, thanks to the streamlined chin guard perfectly integrated into the lines of the shell. When the chin guard is open the helmet is very compact and features the shortest shell/chin guard distance in its segment, this contributes to limiting the sail effect during use with the chin guard open.

Features:

 • HIR-TH (High Resistance ThermoPlastic Resin) shell
 • 1 shell size
 • IVS (Integrated Ventilation System) with wide ducts hollowed into the shell and rear extractor built into the neck protector
 • Breathable Lycra micro-porous lining and Dry-comfort fabric with sanitizing treatment
 • Fully removable and washable liners
 • GT 2 non-scratch, anti-fog polycarbonate visor
 • XQRS (Extra Quick Release System) visor mechanism for tool-free removal and replacement of visor in seconds
 • Micrometrically adjustable strap
 • Integrated ISV non-scratch, anti-fog sun visor

Great helmet, loving mine.
I ended up getting my Numo Evo because I wear glasses and didn't want to deal with the hassle of taking them off every time I had to put on my helmet.

Got this helmet and loved it immediately when I tried it on. Loved the aggressive frontal profile of the helmet and the fact that you can lock the visor in the 'up' position. Field of View was amazing; great peripheral view as well as a very tall port of view, I didn't have to really shift my head up and down to look at the road to my instruments.

Air flow is pretty good. I don't feel the ports up top really working but they should be working as advertised. You can really feel when the chin port is open though; a nice, cool breeze gently flows against your face while you're riding. Perfect for those situations where you need air but can't have the visor open (e.g. dusk riding with bugs all around). One qualm I have about air flow is that during the summer, I get super sweaty inside the helmet. Not sure if it's just me or that there's just not enough amount of air flowing through and wicking away that heat.

Another slight downside however was the noise. Being a modular, there will definitely be more noise than on a full face, as there're more areas for wind to fly over and get in; this modular was no exception. I ended up having to purchase a pair of ep4's to become my riding-use earplugs to mitigate the wind noise. After that however, the helmet works amazingly.

I'm absolutely content at the comfort this helmet provides and the versatility of it.

Great fit, solid helmet
I bought this helmet unsure of the fit as no retailer within a eight hour drive carries this model. A C3 Pro in a large fits me well with about an eighth of an inch of slop at the top of my head. I bought a large in the Numo Evo and it fits snug all around, no pressure anywhere, hugs my head like it was custom. The sun shade mechanism is well made not as smooth as a Schuberth, however no problems finding it and using it. The sun visor comes down quite low and has LOTS of room for your nose and any prescription eyewear you might have. The top vents may present a problem opening with a bulkier glove, would've like to have seen them a little more pronounced. Over all a great helmet with an an aggressive look. Quite happy with it.

Good, but way too loud.
I've bought this helmet from a local dealership, and was happy about it at first.
really comfortable fit, nice air flow, wide visor, and a very good looking helmet.
However.
When I hit the highway, the wind noise is almost unbearable. There are two 1 cm gaps between the inside liner and the helmet itself which create a very loud wind noise.
Another thing is when I open the helmet it sqweaks loudly from the flip up mechanism.
I am currently trying to figure those problems out and will update this review.

Awesome Helmet
I own a Shoei Neotec (modular). This helmet is much lighter than the Neotec, Decent Fit and Finish might not be as top notch as Shoei but you get more than what you spend for.

I recommend this product.

Works well
I bought this helmet because AGV helmets fit my head well. I installed the Sena 20s which was a snap. The speakers fit perfectly into the cutouts provided, the wires have channels, and there is a microphone holder integrated into the helmet.

I've talked on the highway with no issues (you do need to close the air vents to hear better).

Great air flow with the vents open.

All parts of the helmet seem to be of quality materials and work well. The visors work easy for me with gloves. So far I haven't had any issues with fogging.

The fit was perfect using the sizing chart (same as a hat)

One of the better modulars
When I purchased this, I was looking for a helmet that would not try to take my head off when shoulder checking. My previous lid was a HJC modular, while comfortable would catch air like a sail if I turned my head to the side at all. The Numo acts very "slippery", and makes shoulder checking easy. Noise level is excellent for a modular as they do tend to be a bit noisier than their full face cousins. Fit runs a bit tight but seems to be breaking in nicely. Great value, and protection levels that exceed more expensive rivals according to SHARP testing standards (it beat out the more expensive Schubert C3, another modular I was considering.) All in all a great helmet at a fantastic price. Would certainly look to AGV first for a replacement when the time comes.

Great modular helmet, but extremley loud
First off i should point out the awesome hawk bill shape of this helmet, love it! Easy to use mechanism for opening and closing the face of the helmet with gloves-on. The drop down internal sunvisor has the greatest coverage that i ever seen on a helmet, it gives you that top gun, fighter pilot look when u use it with the modular face in the up position

However, this helmet is extremely loud from the wind noise. I don't know if this is how it is for all modular helmets, but compared to my Scorpion helmets, it gets unbearably loud when u go past 40mph. Another problem is the fogging, according to it's description this helmet is suppose to be anti fog, but on my first ride with it it instantly fogged up. I also noticed the area where the main visor joins the helmet and allows the front of the face to be moved up and down has a small gap. I'm not sure, but it looks like water can get inside the helmet from it. I still think this is a great helmet though, you just need to apply some rain-x anti-fog to the inside visor (which i already did and worked), put on some ear plugs and not ride in the rain.

its bit heavy, but very solid.
one i got was from fc-moto.de so it was "made in italy"....
i wear med... this one, i read reviews and ordered a large, and it was snug, i mean snug.
my bike has very good wind protection, and so i notice i ride with the flip up "up" alot...
it had all the characteristics i was looking for, internal sunshade, clip on strap, and modular....
good if ur in that $300 budget, but if ur budget is like $500~, then get a arai 3/4 or Schuburt....

My very first helmet!
Flip-up does come in handy during rides, I can easily talk to friends, have a sip or smoke, and open it during traffic stop.Inner sun visor is good, and fully closed the helmet looks sharp.

I really dislike the weights of this helmet, my heaviest helmet by far, the view is narrow but fixed easily by flip it open, and the vents feels worthless

Stylish, sporty looking flip face. Very comfortable. Unfortunately the chin bar hinge will wear out after a while, and the only way for the chin to stay up will be to lock it. Would be nice if they found a way to put the chin bar lock on the left. Not the quietest helmet, but you should be wearing ear plugs anyway. Venting across the top is practically non-existent. It would be very nice if they added a proper exhaust vent in future versions. Stylish it may be, but I'd rather have a cooler head.

Is the replacement shield for this helmet the same as the horizon/skyline?
Micheal H on May 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yup, just replaced mine, go with the anti fog one though.
I am a small (S) in Shoei RF 1000. Will a S in the numo evo fits the same? Also has someone found replacement shields for this helmet? Thanks
A shopper on Aug 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I fit a large in a Shoei, I got a large in the Numo Evo and it was like a glove. Been wearing it for six months no problems. The replacement visors are the same as the AGV Horizon\ Skyline, just replaced mine after a close encounter with some gravel. Revzilla sells two styles of visors, anti scratch and anti fog, go with the anti fog as it's also anti scratch.
How does this helmet work for people that wear glasses? Do you need to take your glasses off to get the helmet on or off?
Big Als on Feb 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes it works for folks with glasses, my WileyX Romer3s fit nicely with no issues. It's a modular, so you can put it on or take it off without removing your glasses as long as you aren't careless about it. That said I have been in the habit of removing my glasses for so long now that it's a habit. But I have had no problems donning or removing the helmet if I forget to.
What is the exact weight of this helmet? in Kg if posible.
A shopper on Aug 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Don't have a really sensitive scale...but 4.5lbs.approx..

It's a little heavier than Nolan or Schuberth and it was the one thing that concerned me too. However, it's not an issue. What you need to be aware of is the noise - forget this helmet w/o earplugs.
Hi, I have cardo system, is possible connect this product?

Regards;

Duban
Dubanok on Aug 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have Cardo G9 that I use with my hubby. I placed the mounting bracket on my NumoEvo, and his AGV AX8 - both fit securely if you gently pull the padding out to install. Place the padding back into position for a seamless look after install.
I am female and usually wear a Small. I see that this helmet only comes in one shell size. Would the padding for the Small be super thick? or is it just thinner for the bigger sizes? I don't want to look like i have a super huge helmet on my head. Could you recommend a Modular helmet with a great fit for smaller sized heads?
A shopper on Sep 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wear a medium in AGV, and have always been happy with the lower profile of their helmets. The chin bar shaping and overall sleekness of the shell design makes it seem not as bulky as other bands. The modular mechanism is easily activated, and locks securely in place while riding. I love it, and as a female rider think the smaller sizes look sleek :)
How does the head shape compare to that of the Scorpion EXO 900?
The EXO 900 was a little too round for me.
A shopper on Sep 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The AGV is an intermediate oval shape rather than the rounder Scorpion. I love mine and rounder helmets do not fit me well either (they always feel like they are trying to flatten my forehead. If you prefer the Scorpion line their newer EXO 900 X is supposed to be a intermediate oval like the AVG. As for myself I preferred the AVG and feel it was well worth the extra $100 over the Scorpion.
The ADV NUMO EVO comes ready to work with the new SHARE integrated communication platform.
Is this system available? Or do I need to go through AGV directly?
