AGV K3 SV Helmet - Solid
Italian flair for not a lot of cash!
This helmet flows a good bit of air, major plus for Texas riders. It's comfortable even though it's a little snug. The drop down visor is good sometimes, but not all the time. I wish it had a slightly darker tint, will probably upgrade to a tinted visor later. It does cut down on the intensity of the Sun later in the day though. Overall I feel the K3 SV is pretty solid, very glad I picked this one.

Bought it for the cute turtle on the back. Stayed for everything else.
After quite a bit of shopping around for the right lid I settled on the AGV K3 SV. I have a smallish head (57 cm) so I ordered the MS and the helmet fit true to size.
The Dreamtime graphic is stunning and I'm not even a huge Rossi or MotoGP fan. I was looking for a helmet that had a mix of looks, Hi-Vis, and functionality without getting something with edgy flames on it. While the design is not as Hi-vis as a neon helmet it, it still stands out pretty well. I've received quite a bit of compliments from both friends and strangers on the helmet
The SV has loads of features! I was coming from a scorpion exo 7000 and wow what a difference! the chin strap works just like a snowboard binding, meaning no silly D-rings to fiddle with, just slip it off/on and you're ready to go. the lining is super soft and comfy on my face, while keeping me cool while cruising around town in the heat.
The air vents feel like AC in the cool WV fall weather, and the spoiler does not buffet my head around while on the highway. The visor has a nice setting where you can slightly crack it open to prevent it from fogging up for slow speed cruises and extra airflow, although at high speeds I feel like that might shoot up. The drop down sun visor is pretty slick too, I usually wear glasses with the helmet and they are totally unobtrusive to the visor coming down. The sun protection is pretty decent, but I plan to upgrade to a different face shield.
The helmet itself is fairly quiet. Paired with decent ear plugs and you might not hear all the honks of approval because of the amazing looks of this helmet. Crossing my fingers that I won't have to test the integrity of the helmet in a crash anytime soon, but the helmet feels sturdy and lightweight enough that it instills confidence.
All in all for this price it's an excellent deal. I bought it for $230 and even then it's a great value if you're looking for your first helmet or just something different.

I didn't order from revzilla because they didn't offer the Dreamtime graphic. Still, it's the same helmet.
note: Coming from a Bell Qualifier
1. Very light weight
2. chin strap is very quick and easy
3. Air channels work very well even at lower speeds
4. Styling and aggressive looks are legendary in my opinion!
5. Visor is very easy to install/remove
6. Plenty of space for bluetooth headphones.
7. $230-ish very good price point
1. Visor fogs a bit more than I would like
2. The helmet is so perfect and beautiful I'm constantly worried about scratching it, lol.

Great improvement over the regular K3
Im extremely impressed with this helmet! I have the AGV K3 5 Continents (Rossi graphics) helmet and found it had a few drawbacks so I took a chance a tried out this K3 SV version. It basically fixes all the gripes I have with the regular K3.
1. Has plenty of room for your ears plus cut outs for Bluetooth communication speakers. The old K3 squished my ears pretty tightly and good luck finding any room to mount speakers comfortably.
I run a Sena SMH-10 Bluetooth headset and it fits perfectly. Nice room for the boom mic and the speakers fit perfectly in the K3 SV cutouts. Seriously took me less than 5 minutes to install and test.
2. The flip down sun visor is a cool and functional addition although there is some slight distortion.
3. The windshield feels more solidly built and smoother to raise and lower.
4. Never really had an issue with the vents and cooling of the regular K3 but this SV version seems to be more effective. Haven't put a ton of miles on this helmet yet so it could just be Im riding on cooler days. Also slightly quieter.
5. Padding feels more comfortable for every day use. The regular K3 almost feels like a race helmet in comparison.
Overall, this is a fantastic bang-for-the-buck helmet with a bunch of nice features. It really is a whole new helmet compared to the regular K3. Almost confused as to why they even use K3 in the name.

Best Helmet I have owned
This is an amazing helmet. All the features are as advertised. Ventilation is great, the sun visor works well.
It is lighter than my modular HJC helmet for sure. Much better all around; in fact there is no comparison.
I wear glasses and I do have to put on the helmet first, then my glasses. No problem.
I would recommend this helmet to any rider.

Great look, open air flow, nice features, good everyday.
This is my second helmet after being bike only for 3 years now. My first helmet was $50 more then this one. In comparison they fit rather differently. This one is easy to take on and off, my first felt squished taking on and off. Even though this one goes on and off easier it feels snugger on my face in cheeks but in a comfortable way. There is cut out where your ears go and that provides a lot of comfort as i often ride with headphones. There is also wind that goes between my ears which is a plus since i live in Florida and it is always hot. The front has a tab that vents the sheild slightly which provides more airflow but also works great as a defogger. Chemical coats wear off eventually so its nice there is a second system to defogg. I wish it had Pin Lock but this is a nice touch. It bobbles very little at high speeds but with all the airflow it is louder but i expect that and do not mind. The internal sun visors are decent. I have seen complaints about them not being dark enough but if you get the iridium ones it works fine. Wont block all the sun but what will. They have nice coverage and easy to access. The look is sharp and has nice cuts to helpit with comfort as well around the neck. The inner linning stays dry and is very soft. Over all i am thrilled with this helmet. I ride everyday rain or shine, light or dark. It is very versitile for my bike only needs.

The pictures don't do this helmet justice. It's absolutely stunning in person. Looks best in natural sunlight.

Great beginner helmet
Got this helmet brand new when I took the riding course 2 years ago and this is my experience with it.
Cheek pads took about a week to break in, in the meantime I chewed up the inside of my cheeks. After using it constantly cheek pads get very soft and comfy though.
Visor left side plastic pin comes off the pivotal mechanism from time to time. That causes whistling at high speeds and undesired air flow through the windshield.I try not to open the visor in full when riding so it doesnt come off.
Helmet is very light so that is a plus when riding long distances, no neck pain or discomfort whatsoever. Its aerodynamic shape is also of great help, it cuts through air easily with little turbulence.
Unfortunately noise level is high, and when the wind blasts hard it is almost unbearable.
Im not really sure if ventilation has to do with the noise level. In any case, ventilation is awesome from both top and chin vents.
Double D strap system is awesome and provides great confidence.
Visor fogs easily, specially in cold days fogging is almost immediate, despite the great ventilation, its necessary to open the visor a bit until a higher speed is reached.
Looks is fabulous, I usually get many more compliments on my helmet than on my bike :( . I got the Gothic White and the graphics catch lots of attention from both fellow riders as from non-riders as well.
For the price I paid for it, I believe I got in return a very good helmet, that serves its purpose well and still looks really cool. Disadvantages are minor and I dont mind living with them for a few more seasons or until I decide to upgrade.
I would recommend it specially to those who try out the sport to see if they like it, and new riders that want good looks and protection without having to break the piggy bank.
