AGV K3 SV Helmet - Solid Videos

AGV K-3 SV Helmet

The AGV K3 SV Helmet builds on AGV's extensive experience in designing the Pista GP and Corsa helmets as well as the legacy of the original K3 helmet. An aerodynamic shell shape is optimized for stability and aggressive aesthetics and features an integrated, compact rear spoiler to reduce turbulence. The narrow chin bar is streamlined to help the helmet cut through the wind at high speeds, further increasing stability.

The AGV K3 SV helmet incorporates a drop-down sun visor, making the helmet a tour de force, aggressive street or touring helmet. The K3 is also communication-ready and features speaker pocket cut outs to minimize discomfort caused by Bluetooth speakers pressing into your ears. The AGV K-3 SV Helmet is an excellent choice for any rider who values sophisticated, modern design in a safe and feature-rich package.

AGV K3 SV Helmet - Solid 4.7 5 229 229
Italian flair for not a lot of cash! This helmet flows a good bit of air, major plus for Texas riders. It's comfortable even though it's a little snug. The drop down visor is good sometimes, but not all the time. I wish it had a slightly darker tint, will probably upgrade to a tinted visor later. It does cut down on the intensity of the Sun later in the day though. Overall I feel the K3 SV is pretty solid, very glad I picked this one. September 29, 2015
Bought it for the cute turtle on the back. Stayed for everything else. After quite a bit of shopping around for the right lid I settled on the AGV K3 SV. I have a smallish head (57 cm) so I ordered the MS and the helmet fit true to size. The Dreamtime graphic is stunning and I'm not even a huge Rossi or MotoGP fan. I was looking for a helmet that had a mix of looks, Hi-Vis, and functionality without getting something with edgy flames on it. While the design is not as Hi-vis as a neon helmet it, it still stands out pretty well. I've received quite a bit of compliments from both friends and strangers on the helmet The SV has loads of features! I was coming from a scorpion exo 7000 and wow what a difference! the chin strap works just like a snowboard binding, meaning no silly D-rings to fiddle with, just slip it off/on and you're ready to go. the lining is super soft and comfy on my face, while keeping me cool while cruising around town in the heat. The air vents feel like AC in the cool WV fall weather, and the spoiler does not buffet my head around while on the highway. The visor has a nice setting where you can slightly crack it open to prevent it from fogging up for slow speed cruises and extra airflow, although at high speeds I feel like that might shoot up. The drop down sun visor is pretty slick too, I usually wear glasses with the helmet and they are totally unobtrusive to the visor coming down. The sun protection is pretty decent, but I plan to upgrade to a different face shield. The helmet itself is fairly quiet. Paired with decent ear plugs and you might not hear all the honks of approval because of the amazing looks of this helmet. Crossing my fingers that I won't have to test the integrity of the helmet in a crash anytime soon, but the helmet feels sturdy and lightweight enough that it instills confidence. All in all for this price it's an excellent deal. I bought it for $230 and even then it's a great value if you're looking for your first helmet or just something different. September 21, 2015
Nice helmet for a nice price Before this helmet, I had a street and steel that just didn't fit right. It would lift at speeds above 80, and the weight became annoying on longer rides. This helmet solved all of those problems for me. It is light, but still quiet enough for freeway cruising. The fit was perfect for me and it has held up well to about 400 miles of riding so far. As always, revzilla was fast and efficient, the standard shipping taking about three days to get to me in Louisiana. November 3, 2015
Really great helmet A so so great helmet, great vision, real protection, nice style, a good airflow, an excellent product...AGV Rocks! October 27, 2015
Dreamtime I didn't order from revzilla because they didn't offer the Dreamtime graphic. Still, it's the same helmet. note: Coming from a Bell Qualifier Pros 1. Very light weight 2. chin strap is very quick and easy 3. Air channels work very well even at lower speeds 4. Styling and aggressive looks are legendary in my opinion! 5. Visor is very easy to install/remove 6. Plenty of space for bluetooth headphones. 7. $230-ish very good price point Cons 1. Visor fogs a bit more than I would like 2. The helmet is so perfect and beautiful I'm constantly worried about scratching it, lol. September 7, 2015
Nate Not a bad helmet could use a little more padding.. October 20, 2015
Very cool design I bought the AGV K3 Rossi Icon half a year ago and I absolutely love it. The design and the angle it sits on your head is perfect for sportsbikes, very aerodynamic and you wouldnt notice any shake until about 200 to 220km/hr which is amazing. Padding is comfortable and visor doesnt squeak at any speads at all. Its not so great in the noise department, but i recommend ear plugs. Cheap n effective. October 16, 2015
Great helmet! Fit as stated, great field of view, air venting and great style in a light helmet. October 11, 2015

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
T H: for my wife so we could ride in style Aug 8, 2015
Kevin B. F: I really liked the style and its different from my first helmet. The review and also customers said how it was redesigned from its original with little price increase. The reviews seemed solid, the fit sounded like it would be good for me as i am in between a medium in a small. I ride every day and i am bike only so it had a good amount of features that i can use on my commutes, and still be good for harder riding days. Jul 25, 2015

A shopper asked: I was wondering how effective is the anti-fog coating on the AGV visor? Can it compete with pinlock? Also, in the past AGV visors were prone to scratching - is this still the case? Thanks! Nov 24, 2014

Reye W: I rode with this helmet in the cold and the visor fogged up quite a bit, I had to crack it at every stoplight I hit. I've not had a problem with the visor scratching - although they haven't come out with any visors but the clear for the small through medium helmets yet. I emailed asking and they said about a month after its release, so I don't know how effective those will be. Nov 24, 2014

W E: I don't know about the pinlock or scratching yet, but I can tell you that this visor fogged up on me pretty quick. Nov 24, 2014

A S asked: I am torn between this and the Icon Airmada helmet. Which would you recommend for a sport bike rider who rides on the street more than at a track? I do a lot of riding both in town with traffic at slower speeds and on longer faster highway rides. My main concerns are keeping cool in the summer so my makeup doesn't melt off, minimal whistling/ excess noise inside the helmet, and stability (no wobbling at highway speed). Thank you for any advice to help me make my final choice! Mar 30, 2015

Brian W: I hope I am not wasting your time because I can only speak for the Icon Airmada. I have been pleased with my Icon, especially for the price. It has served me well at highway speeds and the occasional spirited run (no wobbling, buffeting). It flows an adequate amount of air. It also is somewhat noisy at highway speed. It is prone to fog at or below 55 degF. Bottom line, I would buy another Airmada. Jul 10, 2015

Stephen M asked: I'm almost ready to get one, but I've read a lot of reviews on other entry level AGV helmets where people are disappointed in the quality of the helmets, from stitching to visor gaskets, to whistling noises at speed. Could anyone tell me about the quality of construction and materials on this helmet? Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Feb 18, 2015

Javier A: Hey Stephen, about the AVG K3 SV helment, in my opinion it's awesome. This new generation of AVG helmets are really a big step up from their older entry models. Now you still have to consider that it is priced as an entry model and will likely be a little heavier or a tad bit louder than pricier helmets, but so far I've had no issues with it (and i'm on a naked bike). It is a great helmet and you get a lot of quality and "premium" features for the price that you pay. Amazing bang for the buck. Hope that helps. -Javi Feb 18, 2015

Nicholas G: I absolutely love mine, riding with it for about 3 months now and no complaints at all. It's super comfortable and seems to be made pretty well and I definitely dont baby it, I had it fall off my bike this morning and it was completely fine. The visor feels really secure and doesnt flop around at high speed like other brands will. The gasket seems pretty solid too, it's gone through a couple little rain spurts and no leaks. Obviously a $400 helmet is going to be a little higher quality but for the money this is the best helmet I've ever had and I'll probably end up with another one in a couple years when this one needs to be replaced. As for the whistling thing I've never noticed it (even at 100+ mph). My only real complaint is that the inner sun visor isnt dark enough but you can replace it if it really bothers you. Feb 18, 2015

Robert R: For this price point you can't go wrong. I love mine. I've had a few compliments on it. I really like the hawk styling. I haven't had any issues as far as the construction goes but I also tend to take care when handling. The only downsides I would say is the inner sun visor could be darker, and I do get some fogging issues from time to time, but they clear up quickly. I tend run hot so I can't blame it on the helmet as it happens in other helmets I've had before. I shopped around for about 3 weeks before deciding on this one. I'm not disappointed, but to each thier own. As others have said it is "bang for buck" helmet. But it is worth every dollar IMO as an entry helmet. Feb 18, 2015

Jose M: First let me say that you'll love the agv k3 sv... Great helmet and is comfortable (I have dreads just to give you an idea) and your going to like the sun visor feature.. but for the Bluetooth device/system I'm looking for one as well and I'm probably going to get the agv Bluetooth device that agv came up with for their helmet I would look into it, I'm sure it'll be a perfect fit and won't have to worry about refunds and returns..
