On a really hot Oklahoma summer day I've been bypassing my Neotec and AGV K3, and using my AFX. It's comfortable and works for me.

A great value on open face helmet
I've ridden with this helmet for a few weeks and I am liking it very much.
1. Open face - good ventilation and light.
2. True to size fit for my round head but I am pretty sure it will fit oval head as well.
3. Noise level is not high.
4. Built in inner sun shield.
5. Good and clear outer shield.
1. Open face offers less protection - I definitely recommend putting the clear shield down all the time while riding.
2. Some moisture accumulated on the lower part of the shield when stopping.
3. A tight fit on the cheek pad - unable to wear sun glasses and using the inner sun shield at the same time. Not a big deal for me.
Overall, a great and economical open face helmet.

Really like the shaded visor
I took my first trip with this helmet and I am very satisfied! I like the style and especially the inner shaded visor. I was concerned if it would work with prescription glasses, but it clears my glasses with no problem. The outer visor also works well and will stay in the position that you place it. I would recommend going toward a larger size over what the chart lists. I measured 23" which according to the chart should be medium. I ordered a large and it is just right. I was satisfied with the service from Revzilla. I would order from them again and I would recommend this helmet.

I bought the AFX-50 on speculation that it would give me protection and the interior sun shield allow me to use my regular glasses. I have given the helmet a fair test by riding about 400 miles in various weather conditions. The sun shiled performed very well and did provide enough shielding to allow me to ride comfortably in sunny conditions. The helmet fit comfortably for many hours at a time. Not being a full face helmet there was a higher level of extraneous wind noise but not enough to detract from its overall quality. I am impressed by the fit and finish and especially appreciate the ability to choose keeping or removing the visor.

Andrew K: Read previous reviews, this is for my son and wife to use when they go with me on the Bike. I hope that it is a good quality product as was represented by the reviews. Wish the price was the same as the previous model.Jul 26, 2014
Lance S: I like the visor and the drop down tinted lens. I also appreciate the videos you provide which give extra detail and I got a quick response to an e-mail question I submitted about this helmet.Jul 23, 2014
Tom K: I am a returning rider after being away from biking for over 30 years so this is basically like a first helmet for me. I did not want to spend a lot for my first helmet so I chose a value based brand. I tried one on from a craigslist seller and liked the fit plus the reviews were all good. That seller was buying an upgraded AFX helmet to replace her old one. Revzilla also offered the best customer service like free returns in case the size was wrong.Jul 23, 2014

Leon H: I read several reviews, compared a few helmets and determined that the features and quality of this helmet would compliment my riding style. I was looking for a helmet that was versatile and that included an inner sun shield.May 27, 2014
Daryl F: Decent features for the price for my first helmet purchase.May 15, 2014
Vernon P: Wanted a safe open-faced helmet for light-riding in warm weather. Wanted a good price point too.May 9, 2014
Wilfred S:Nothing really it's the same helmet -purchase 2 = one on close (left over a year older) under $70.00 great price , the other is new year higher price but still under $90.00 . The issues for me was budget, fit, the sun screen lessens eye fatigue , color match, the light weight and the option to remove the peak was a nice feature. Also the boss ( wife ) was happy I had enough motorcycle fund for a ride and dinner stop. Hope this helps .Apr 3, 2014
Ronald E asked:I really like the design of this helmet, but I am concerned about installing our Honda Goldwing communication system. I know the description states that the liner and cheek pads are removable, but if the rear/lower liner is not removable it is next to impossible to route the right speaker wire inside the helmet. Additionally, I wonder if the there are comfortable pockets for the speakers. I previously purchased another brand of helmet that I spent some frustrating moments routing the communication system. Thanks in advance for your replies. Added question marks to make the RevZilla software work.....????Aug 20, 2014
Frank c:I like the helmet. fits good, feels light. It does have a large outside size i guess from the face sheild and visor. I have a sena SMH10 and I had to put spacers on the inside of the helmet for the clamp to clamp to. It still isnt fastened real tight but it is ok. It is because the inside of the cheek area is very thin. I had no problems installing speakers on each side of the helmet. There are big enough pockets and I pushed the wires around the outside rear bottom of the padding. hope this helps.Aug 20, 2014
Kenneth C:Ronald-I cannot help. I returned the helmet fora Bell. And, I don't use comm hardware. RevZilla has a very reasonable return policy. It cost me 7-8 dollars to confirm my choice. Their prices are great. I still came out ahead.Aug 20, 2014
