AFX FX-39 Dual Sport Camo Helmet
Very good helmet, bugs will sometimes give you heart attacks
It's an awesome helmet considering the price. Looks amazing and and has a ton of air flow. However, it can get very loud at higher speeds. Mirrored visor is a pain to put on (looks great though). Also, I had a bee get into my helmet and slam into my cheek at high speed; I had a half-dead bee freak out in my helmet which, in turn, made me freak out. I still confused as to how to got in there, but be warned that creepy crawlies may choose your FX-39 as their resting place. Aside from that, great helmet!

Best helmet I own !
This is one of those great gear that falls within such a reasonable price level, that you wonder why one would pay 5 times the price for not even 1.25 times the form & function.
I had been looking for a D/S helmet at my local motorcycle shops and since there didn't seem to be a high demand on that type of helmet around my area, they only carried reknowned brands which ended up being more than twice the budget I was looking to spend.
The AFX FX-39 helmet ordered at Revzilla ended up costing half my budget !
The design is amazing for the price. Has ample air flow, entry & exit, excellent finish quality, not louder than my previous helmets (older baseline Shoei & Arai) and suprisingly comfortable for the price.
Like any new helmet, there is always an adaptation period but this is such an upgrade from my other helmets that it quickly became my favorite.
Ordering online was not an easy decision to take, especially when my Medium (57-58) Shoei fitted me on the loose side whereas my Large (59-60) Arai fitted me more on the snug side ! After reading other post, I learned that there is two distinct shell size for the FX-39: one for up to medium and the other for large and up. So if like me, you're toying between these two sizes, due to step between two shells, ordering online without trying the helmet on can be a huge risk.
But the attraction to the price online for this model compared to the expensive Shoei or Arai D/S helmet, made me take on that risk and so I trusted the size chart for the FX-39: I went for a medium (58-59) and it ends up being a bit more snug than loose, but since it is brand new, I'm sure I will get rid of the very few pressure points within a dozen riding hours. In my case, I believe Large would have been a mistake.
Dual Sport motorcycling is just one of the many activities and sport I regularly indulge in so I am truly happy to have found such an amazing product permitting me to fill the proper form & function while keeping the budget for this one well balanced.

Excellent value for price
Great helmet for the price, only problem is standard lense fogs up easily bellow 45 degrees F. Would recommend the cold weather anti fog lense if doing cold ridding.

Best bang for your buck!!
Bought this helmet before going on a week long adventure trip to Utah. All I can say is awesome helmet for the price. Yes, there are better ones out there if you have disposable income I guess, but for the price the fit and function of this helmet is incredible!! Zero hot spots and the venting is incredible. Yeah, on the cooler mornings the inside of the shield fogs up a little but once you get moving, it goes away quickly. I've found that to be the case in ANY helmet though. As for noise, I actually found it rather quiet for how ventilated it is. I wear plugs on the long highway sections anyway. Super wide field of vision which I find an added benefit. The bill doesn't catch a lot of wind either. I'm 5'11 and with the screen in the down position on my GSA I can turn my head and look around freely without any drag on the helmet. I was actually worried about this switching to a DS helmet and it performed GREAT!!! One would also think that for the cost things would start falling apart quickly but it is staying solid

This helmet not only looks good but offers the protection I was looking for. I would recommend this helmet to anyone considering off or on road riding.

A little noisy and heavy, but great value for the money. Super comfortable and visibility is good.

Great choice st this price
I'm just getting back into motorcycles. I bought a KLR650 after a 15 year absence from off road riding. I started out using my ancient Moto 4 and my son's modular helmet and I chose this helmet after my research and I bought it in Hi viz yellow. So, those are the only ones I can compare it to. I used the AFX website for fitment measurement and the size is perfect for me. This helmet is a lot more quite than those 2, fit was better, and I like the visor better than goggles for the street, visibility is great. Can't beat the looks and it doesn't feel heavy. Ventilation?, well you don't feel wind in your hair, but it is pretty cool. Protection?, well it's not a Bell or Aria, but it is DOT approved, so I trust that. Overall, I'm really pleased with the helmet and feel you can't go wrong with it at this price point.

Best Helmet I own
I have 3 helmets and have payed hundreds of more dollars for them than the AFX FX-39. This is by far the best bang for the buck. It not only looks good but fits well. With the vents open airflow is excellent and the wind noise is very low. I would and have recommended this helmet to many of my friends. If you are looking for a great helmet at an affordable price this is the one for you.
