Excellent Product If someone tries to tilt your motorcycle while this alarm is on, the alarm will get set off and make them think twice before trying it again. April 6, 2015
Great product Great product,peace of mind,works great,alarm works well.highly recommended January 19, 2015
Good product - maybe wrong size for my bike? Works exactly as advertised. Once it is locked if you move the front wheel even a little bit the alarm will sound and it's pretty loud. My only complaint is I have to put the lock on in a way that feels backwards. The side with the key is closer to the center of the wheel instead of the outside of the wheel. More than once I accidentally set off the alarm trying to get the key into the hole. I think this may just be because of the size of my wheels, and the more I use it the less of a problem it is. Good added security I bought this mainly because I work in a shady area of Los Angeles. I park my bike where I can see it from work, but that isn't always the case. I got the bright yellow one so I know it is there when I walk towards it. Although I do forget it is there when I get on it from home. I do wish it came with a lanyard to remind me. I paid $160! It should of came with one. I bought one for $8 off ebay. I do like that whenever I turn on my bike, the alarm goes off. It is sensitive but not too sensitive. I can gotten on top of my bike carefully and it didn't go off but if I rock it, it goes off immediately. I feel very secure with this thing on so overall I am happy with the purchase, but for an easy concept I wish it was cheaper. But was is +$160 compared to losing your bike. November 6, 2014
piece of mind! order your lock as soon as you get the email that they have it in stock.. these locks go out fast! the lock is beefy and the sensitivity of the motion sensors work really well. November 5, 2013
Bulletproof but not without it's failings! Okay, first let me start the review by stating that this is probably the most heavy duty disc lock out on the market! The unit has a hefty weight and extremely solid feel to it-Abus have done a great job with the construction of this disc lock and the large size alone would deter most would-be thieves. The bad side is the actual audio alarm isn't that loud-I personally think it's underpowered and should be much louder. It is, however, mechanically stable and unlike the Xena (which I've been told will activate inadvertently in high winds) mine has yet to go off for anything less than a gentle rocking motion of my bike. Also of note is the colour-black is probably the worst colour they could have come up with as it's hard to see not only by thieves (and it could be mistaken as being a brake component at a casual glance) but also yourself so there is a good chance you might forget about it and drive off!... On that subject no lanyard is included which should be standard with any Abus premium product so you would want to invest in one of those as well as looking into painting it a bright Hi-Vis colour. I have emailed Abus concerning painting the unit and they have said that it won't void the warranty as long the locking arm/inner workings are not painted. Overall it's a great unit despite the weak audio and colour/no lanyard and if you key it alike with an Abus chain or other product you'll have one key for all the units and several spares! Very beefy disc lock I have to leave my bike in a pretty insecure spot overnight, so I wanted something to make noise when moved and be large enough to discourage would-be thieves. Easy to get on and the alarm is loud. Would be nice if it came in bright colors. May 20, 2013

Charles P C: It works very well on my Triumph Thunderbird 1600. Lately, I have been
using it on the rear wheel disk lock as experts say it is harder to take off
the rear wheel. I always use a yellow expendable cable with loops on each
end that is attached to the right and left hand grips. Put this on
BEFORE you place the disc lock on and take it off AFTER you have removed
the disc lock.

Frank D: This lock is designed to be used as a front disk lock. I wanted one I could use on the rear disk of my Harley Davidson. It Worked for me on the front disk, but would never work with the rear disk. I had to use the Abus Granit Detecto X-Plus 8000 Alarm Disc Lock, It was a perfect fit. Jul 27, 2014

Klaudiusz K: It should. But you can measure disc brake. If it's less then 2-1/16" or 52mm then you good.
I'm using mine on 2013 Triumph Street Triple R.

Klaudiusz K: Check the size of the front disc. It has be not more then 52mm or 2-1/16", this is the gap in a locked position. Jul 28, 2014

Yannick D: Hi, it does not fit my Kawasaki ZR7 neither on front or rear tyre, I still use it as a padlock with my chain. It's a top product, sturdy and a visual deterrent from my opinion. For the cat, well I guess he won't mess with it twice, it is loud... Mar 12, 2015

A S: Good to know. Sounds like it probably won't fit and will incur the wrath of my neighbors (if most of the strays have a go that's a lot of false alarms...). Mar 14, 2015
