Abus Granit Detecto X-Plus 8077 Alarm Disc Lock
May not fit your motorcycle
I have a 2015 Ducati Multistrada 1200s
Unfortunately there is not enough clearance between the disc and the rim to slide the lock. The lock may be outstanding but there should be a compatibility chart so one would know if it fits.

SUPER loud, and the yellow is an eye catcher/deterrent
Pros: LOUD and beefy. Compact enough to easily fit in a tail section or tailbag when riding. Won't set off a false alarm with wind, but it will go off if the bike tilts up off the kickstand.
Cons: relatively short time frame to install and remove before alarm goes off. It's a little tricky to find a position on the rotor so it'll go off if the bike is bumped, but it WILL go off if the bike comes off the kickstand. Due to it's size, it does touch the 17" rim on sport bikes, so care must be taken.
2012 Honda CBR1000RR
Would definitely recommend this lock to anyone living in an apartment complex that can't secure their bike out of sight and mind.

This product is not a full prevention but more of a deterrent. I have been satisfied with the build and construction of the product, but I suggest an immediate replacement of the included batteries.

Heavy Duty lock - alarm is pretty useless -way too quiet.
You can only hear it from about 20 feet away if the traffic noise from the road isn't too bad. Abus should make it a lot louder be cause the mechanism that sets of the alarm is very good. You will NOT get false positives. The bike literally has to be sat on, up-righted, or attempted to move for the alarm to trigger. It basically triggers by the disc movement pushing a big chrome ball in to activate the alarm.

The one to get
Echoing other comments here:
- Built solid
- Key is complex (not easy to pick)
- Alarm is not overly sensitive
- Alarm could be louder
- cannot fit it on my rear wheel (too easy for thieves to replace front wheel quickly)
I recommend this and wish they'd make a version to fit my rear rotor. Oh, and get the yellow one for deterrence and so you won't forget (but alarm will go off once you stand bike upright). Can be used without alarm if so desired.

This is probably one of the best disc alarm locks you can buy. Its easy to use and the alarm is fairly loud. Maybe the only con is that its kind of big so its not easy to carry everywhere. It doesnt fit in the tail of my streetfighter.

Strong & Noisy
This is the perfect lock for me. Although it will only attach to my front rotor, it is pretty easy to put on and take off. I got the yellow one so that it's easily noticed, but I wouldn't worry about driving off with it still on because of the audible alarm. I wanted an alarm that wouldn't go off with the slightest breeze or cat, yet still let me know if someone tries to move or tilt my bike. I can hear it easily inside my house. Thankfully, along with other layers of security it hasn't been tested yet on my carport. I am careful to keep this lock dry but I'm curious if it will fail after being exposed to rain.

Heavy duty disc lock // False alarms.
So this disc lock is the king of its kind.
I take this lock with me everywhere and use it every time I leave the seat for more than 5 minutes.
For how much it's worth, it's compact size, and what it prevents itd be a waste not to.
I got the yellow model and it's oh so visible from a distance PLUS! It also gives a red LED blip every couple of seconds which is a good reminder and deterrent.
It's super heavy duty and weather proof as its been cought in some of the rains this season and still has full functionality.
The complaints (not so much the "bad")
This alarm has been set off from gusts of wind rocking my bike. I can only imagine this happens because the bike will always have a cover on it if I park it outside. The cover probably creates drag and rocks the bike.
Just a warning for those who do the same and hear the alarm but see no one about.
The alarm is loud, but if you're wearing headphones inside or have loud music playing it may be hard to hear from inside your house.(obvious)
Compared to all other sonic/audible disc locks, this is the one to purchase.
The wind setting it off is obviously unavoidable, but the other brands are super sensitive and will alarm at the drop of a hat.
"The disc locks who cried wolf" not a good thing.
