Confortable and may offer better protection then many I purchased this with the TLD protective pants so I don't know how it feels when directly on the skin. But over the TLD pants I find it is not restrictive and seems well padded. The paddding is more encompassing then other knee pads I have used. It is also more comfortable then other knee pads I have used. I have not crash tested it so I can't comment on it's effectiveness. May 6, 2013
