Ryan heads up RevZilla’s Merchandising Department and is our resident scooterboy. His first love is vintage Vespas and he’s a member of the vintage-only Rabble Rouser Scooter Club. He helps to organize the annual Philadelphia vintage scooter rally, October Revolution, and has been riding “two-wheeled motorized vehicles” since 1999. Past rides include various mopeds, Vespa and Honda scooters, a few UJMs and a Ducati Multistrada 1000DS. His first motorcycle was a 1974 Honda CL350 Scrambler, which he still owns.

Ryan did not grow up riding, but caught the bug in his late teens when he convinced a friend who owned a motorcycle to teach him how to ride. It did not go well. He immediately dumped the bike, but got right back on the horse, ended up purchasing it from his friend, and still owns it today. At least it was an easy lesson in the importance of riding gear — learned early. Today, he can often be found zipping around his adopted neighborhood of South Philly on his hot-rod Vespa. Unless he’s blown it up... again.

Ryan’s background is in the arts. He has a BFA in photography from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and attended school in Paris and Ireland.

Favorite part of being on TeamZilla: The common goal. Everyone here is interested not just in doing the minimum, but in exceeding expectations and surprising those around us. We're a smart group of people, and the fact that we're using our position to elevate the industry (as opposed to figuring out the quick buck) is a very exciting thing. Also, the fact that participation in Halloween dress-up is virtually required.
