Have a BMW with 2 Hella Din sockets. Would rather power the heated gear using the bikes power outlets than hard wiring it directly to battery

I have a BMW style accessory socket on my Rocket 3 Touring, so it just made sense to plug my jacket liner into that socket.

I'd like to be able to use the 12v port on my BMW to power this jacket as opposed to hooking it up directly to the battery.

If you plug the controller directly into this adapter, then where is the fuse protection?
Stephen B on Feb 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Canbus system handles the fuse situation. On both my F800 and K1300 the computer will shut down the accessory if it is drawing too much power. All you have to do is recycle the system to get it to turn back on. Not a fuse setup.
How long is this wire? My plug is on the right side of my fairing (BMW K1600GTL).
