First rain jacket I've ever liked
I've owned a lot of rain jackets over the years, and I've hated every one of them.

I bought a new Tourmaster Flex jacket, and decided to pay the big bucks for this rain jacket, just to see if the extra cost was worth it. It was.

It fits perfectly over the Flex jacket of the same lettered size (XL Tourmaster Flex, XL Sentinel rain jacket). No loss of arm motion, no tight sections, breathes fairly well, and it doesn't flap madly in the wind or balloon out, even at 160+km/h. I willingly wore it at times as a windbreaker on the bike in addition to times worn fending off the rain. With other rain jackets, I'd rather get rained on than to pull them on.

I spent a few long days riding in the rain, including one stretch where it felt like a river was falling on top of me, but I stayed comfortable inside the Sentinel.

If you like Tourmaster jackets, I strongly recommend getting this jacket.

Best rain jacket I have owned!!!
I bought this jacket before a trip I took last week. Ever time I go on a trip over 1500 miles it always rains. So this trip I upgraded my rain jacket and it worked!!! We only had about 2 hours of rain the whole time. HA

The jacket did perform well in the couple downpours I rode through. It packs down light and small, when I saw the lightning and rain in the distance and put on my gear, rode through some heavy rain that created rivers out of the road then hit the sun again in 45 minutes and packed it away and was 100% dry.

I'm a medium / 40 in most jackets, but got the small Sentinel. I feel it is the perfect fit but it might be tight over my jacket if I was bundled up for low 40s temps.

Compact yet rugged
Light weight, compact yet rugged - usually not adjectives used together to describe a rain jacket. However, Sentinel pulls it off. The reinforced elbows and shoulders are a big plus. I love that the carry pouch is integrated into the jacket so now I never have to search for the stow bag. I tried it out in a full blown Central Florida torrential down pour last week and it performed to the standard expected of Tour Master. If you are looking for a great side bag rain jacket - look no further.

Best rain gear ever
I have been looking for rain gear a long time and have spent hundreds of dollars wasting money on other gear only to end up soaking wet later and wasting money on trying different brands. I ride every day to work rain or shine, it doesn't matter I'm out there. I got stuck riding for two hours one day in a heavy heavy downpour. I stayed completely dry in these and am still able to breath a little in them as well stay warm. It is also highly reflective making it easier for other cars to see you on the road. The pants that you order separately that go with it are the same, perfect. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. They look cool too!! Thanks!

Good value and acceptable protection; but not for heavy thunderstorms.

Good fit nice jacket
I wear a Tourmaster Intake Air (large) riding jacket. The Tourmaster Sentinel Rain Suit Jacket fits comfortably over my riding jacket. It does feel a little tight under the arm pit but that may be because of the vent zipper. It packs into it's own storage pouch quickly and easily. I haven't had the opportunity to wear it in the rain (which I'm ok with) but I'm glad to have it If I get caught in the rain.

It works!
Been riding in the rain every day since I received it, and it does what its supposed to, keep me dry. I bought the jackets and pants together and Ive stayed completely dry.
Fit wise, there is room for some underlayer beneath it. I am 5'10", 175 pounds with a large chest and shoulders for my size, and I bought a large jacket and pants. I wore the rain jacket over my Carheart jacket yesterday, and while snug, it did work without making me think I was going to rip it apart at the seams.
I purchased the black and yellow, and the reflectivity is good. Ive had other riders follow behind me at night and was told the reflective panels work pretty well, and im visible even in the rain at night.
Since motorcycles seem to be invisible to drivers nowadays unless we ride around with a blinking neon sign over our heads and our horns blowing, I wanted to make sure I could be seen.
It does a fairly good job at blocking wind as well. Its been cold here the past couple weeks, from below freezing in the mornings to the low 40's during the day, and the only place I've even felt any cold was in the armpits while doing 70 on the freeway. And I still barely noticed it. No idea how it is in high temps, but i imagine if i opened the zippers it would flow plenty of air, to keep me cool.
Last thing to note, I have a fairly skinny neck and wrists, and the neckline snugs up enough that water does not get in, and the wrists are the same, with room to spare if someone had super thin wrists. I cant imagine Ill ever get wet unless a seam fails or something.

Love the jacket...
I love the jacket. It has lots of options, pockets, etc... Pockets are sealed and in some case double-downed for extra seal. The under helmet rain hood is a neat feature... though I have yet to try it out.

Living in SE Texas, the jacket does breath but when sitting in traffic or at a traffic light, it does warm up. That would be my only knock to the jacket.

But overall... I love it. I'm currently checking out other products.
