Genuine Innovatioins Tire Repair And Inflation Kit for Street Motorcycles

The Genuine Innovations Motorcycle Tire Repair Kit is an essential part of any street or touring rider’s “must haves”. After plugging your damaged tire, inflation is a breeze. Simply thread the CO2 cartridge to the inflator, attach to the valve stem and push forward to dispense air. The kit also comes with two 45 gram threaded cartridges which is enough to fill the largest tires. For tire repair, the kit includes a tire reamer and T-handled plug insertion tool, and five tire plugs. Tire plugs will work for round and irregular holes. All of this fits in the convenient 5”x 6.5” zippered, padded bag. A 12 inch braided hose is also included to make it easier to fit into smaller spaces.

So far, so good.
Found a nail in my rear tire and needed something to get the bike moving again. Ordered the kit (which came in only a few days, thanks Revzilla!) and made the repair. It was easy as all of the videos I watched made it seem. I did not use the supplied CO2 (wanted to save those for when I'm stuck roadside) instead opting for my compressor. It's been a week and the tire hasn't lost even a single PSI and the patch seems solid. My plan is to get a new tire some time soon but in the meantime I feel safe with the repair I made.

One note: A few reviews on here say the supplied carrying pouch was too small. I could not disagree more. I found the pouch to be just big enough to hold EVERYTHING that comes in the kit with no wasted space. It fits perfectly under my seat (2014 Triumph Street Triple). Were it any bigger it would be too big in my opinion.

Pros: Easy to use, effective patch, compact storage pouch
Cons: None so far

The repair kit works as advertised with one flaw.
One week after receiving the repair kit I found a nail in the new rear tire on my 2015 R1200 GSA. Within 30-minutes I had the nail out and the tire plugged and holding air. However, the screwdriver-type reamer supplied with the kit was extremely hard to use and painful to my hand while I was reaming the hole. A tee handle would be much better design from a pain point of view and also more functional.

Good to have
I have been using Genuine Innovations inflators on both of my bicycles (road & mountain) for years. And you actually use them when you ride regularly, they're pretty much mandatory.

I sort of hope I don't have to use the moto kit, but it fit nicely under my seat if I need it.

By the way some people say that the case is not big enough to carry everything. I don't think it's supposed to...it comes with two CO2's, you only need to keep one on your bike so it's perfect if you ask me.

Don't Ride Without A Tire Repair Kit
The Innovations In Cycling Tire Repair And Inflation Kit Street is a tiny, self-contained unit that will get you back on the road if you pick up a nail in the middle of nowhere . . . It takes up very little room, and with the two large CO2 cartridges and the valve to control the pressure, make fixing a flat simple and fast. Being so compact, it takes up very little space, which is critical if you tour without a trailer, as I do.

Just what I was looking for
I am happy with the product and it will work for me. However, it would be nice if the bag was a little bigger as it is a really tight fit.

Great product
1st time ever that I had a nail on my tire. Luckily, it was exactly on the middle, so easy to plug. The product came with clear explanation and after several weeks, I decided to keep the tire as it is until I need a new one.

Now I keep the kit on my backpack just in case.

Highly recommend.

I hope I never have to use it, but it looks complete. The carrying bag is a bit small, but will work.

Good product. Right price.
Just in case a tire goes flat, I thought this was a good purchase. Anytime a breakdown occurs, it is alwaya a good thing if you can get back up and running. Good insurance.

Small size is a plus
Have not had a chance to use the product yet (thankfully), but it's small size makes it an easy fit on to any bike and a no brainer to bring on any trip as an added level of knowing you will not be stuck in the middle of nowhere.

I've been looking for a small and compact tire repair kit. Also, the CO2 canisters make it so I don't have to run anything off of my battery, which saves me the trouble of either wiring a power adapter or having to remove my seat to use an air compressor.
Douglas C on May 26, 2015
Looks Like a nice compact kit not to big so it can be stored under the seat an you just don't know when your going to need it nothing worse then being stuck on the side of the road till you get some help.

Got really nervous about picking up a puncture in a construction zone on the highway at rush hour. Hopefully I will never have to use it but my mind will be a bit more at ease knowing that I have this in my Kriega US-10 on the tail.

I bought this item, but it can't be transported by plane. What could I do?
Ricardo P M on Jan 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It isn't the CO2 canisters that are not allowed on airplanes. If it's a shipping issue, I imagine revzilla can ground ship. If you are traveling by plane and want to have it with you, I suggest taking the kit without the CO2 canisters and picking a couple of those up st a local hardware store. Or you. An ground ship it to a local post office, maybe?
