Awesome exhaust: compliments from others
I purchased the exhaust that has the carbon fiber finish. I get so many compliments it is absurd. Love the tone of the exhaust. Can get a bit loud at wot but that's what I like about it. It can also be fairly quite when cruising around the city.

Great buy!

Just get it
So I got my FZ8 about a month ago, I bought it from a guy who'd obviously taken great care of it, and it had low miles. After fiddling around looking for a few mods to do, I came across a video on YouTube showing 8 different slip-ons on this bike, and the Yoshi immediately caught my ear. After debating between the carbon fiber and the stainless, I went with the stainless. Aside: Revzilla standard shipping got it here in 2 days. Outstanding. I got it today, immediately put it on, went for a ride and could not be happier.

Installation: I'm handy enough, but no one is ever going to mistake me for Mr. Goodwrench. I did have the proper tools, so that helped. Note that Yoshi includes a spring hook, so don't buy one like I did. Install took me about an hour start to finish. It was that long partially because I was being very careful to not scratch/dent anything. I attached the mounting bracket and put the support on the muffler and worked them together. That worked best for me. Everything went together pretty easily, reasonable jostling and tweaking aside. After the install, I wiped it down with rubbing alcohol like the instructions recommend. Then, I fired it up, and...

...the sound is awesome. It's not so loud as to piss off the neighbors, but they'll definitely know when I'm coming and going. The sound is throaty and bassy with a little pop in there. Amazeballs.

Aesthetics: I really struggled with carbon fiber versus stainless. I'm actually glad I got the stainless, I like how the muffler stands out I really think it is so much better looking than the Vance & Hines and Two Brothers and the other big name slip-ons. I like how the muffler goes with the screws and bolts in the engine.

Fit and finish: Everything lined up perfectly. Everything is straight, flush. If the appearance is any indication, this is a quality product that will last for the long haul.

I was very happy with the Yoshi fender eliminator I got, but this outdoes that by a long shot. 100% satisfied with this purchase.

BEST ANSWER: It's a great pipe, and it looks great if your getting the carbon slip on. It's not as loud as the other pipes but it's a great looking exhaust. Recommended
Hi there,
What is the different between the yoshimura R77D and R77 for yamaha fz8.
And witch one is better?
Thnk you

BEST ANSWER: The difference is the outlet. It is a dual outlet (thus the D in its description) instead of single. They say it flows a little more air than the single. I just bought the D version because I like the way it looks. I installed on a 2014 gsxr 1000. I love it.
