Lotsa bling, except for the hardware
Muffler itself is very well made, and with the Yosh heat shield, looks much better than the stock unit. However, Yoshimura elected to use the passenger peg as a mounting point instead of the stock mount, so you can't remove your passenger peg on the right side. The assembly used to bolt to the foot peg mount is a bit cumbersome compared to the stock setup. The supplied hardware was a real let down. The pipe clamp was significantly skimpier than the stock clamp and barely fit on the muffler inlet. The mild steel clamp bolt was too short to use. I reused the stock clamp and it's stainless steel bolt. The foot peg pin is replaced with a shoulder bolt to bolt the muffler bracket to the foot peg bracket. The shoulder bolt and nut are SAE sizes, not metric. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? After firing the bike up, I can't tell any difference in sound while revving the bike in the garage. It was 36 degrees today so I won't have it on the road for another couple of weeks to see if there is any noticeable difference in performance.
