Woodcraft Clip-On Risers w/ Adapter Plate Kawasaki Ninja 650R

The Woodcraft Kawasaki Ninja 650R adapter plate bolts directly to the stock handlebar mount keeping all of the stock clearances, while putting your hands in a more natural position. This setup allows the use of multiple risers giving you the ability to custom tailor the bar height for optimum comfort.

Each plate is machined from tough billet aluminum giving your bike a custom look while making them much stronger than the stock handlebars. The handlebar tubes are kept as separate pieces allowing for inexpensive replacement in the event of a crash. This exclusive design will set your bike apart at the race track or your local bike night.

Includes a pair of 12" black handlebars.

Super Sport Feel!
I've put about 2k into my 2012 Ninja 650 and this mod has made the most noticeable change BY FAR. I got the 1" bar risers, because if you're going to get clip-ons for the ninja, make it worth it.

PROS: Immediately noticed how my body weight was shifted over the front tire handling/control is much more direct. The bike's flickability has improved ten fold. I also did new grips and bar end mirrors and the bike feels much more slender. The handling characteristics are incredible now, when you really want to turn in at speed you are much closer to the tank and can easily swing your leg out to get that leaaaan.

CONS: I've lost some parking maneuverability but that wasn't important to me, my shorty levers will hit the front fairing before the handles can lock. Your crotch will come in contact with the tank so get a tank protector and prepare for some accidental smashing of your manhood. I'm 6' and 200bs and i can feel my weight on my wrists a lot more, so if you're a commuter I'd get higher risers, but as long as you don't mind taking one hand off and resting it on your leg its very manageable.

I can't speak to the install difficulty because I had my local mechanic throw everything on for me, but he didn't need to flip the brake line and told me it only took him 45mins or so.

Highly recommend!! Just when I was worried I was getting bored with my bike this has transformed it, and I am more excited than ever to swing a leg over.

This will transform your bike.
The materials and workmanship of this set are excellent. I installed the 1" riser set on a '13 Ninja 650r ABS. Everything went on very easily. The install took about 1-1/2 hours with new grips. It completely changed the feel of the bike. There is much more positive steering feel through all speed ranges. At full steering lock the clearance is a bit tight between the bars and tank and the stock handles may just touch the windshield if they are not positioned carefully. This will drop your hand position about 2" from the stock bars. (Both pictures are at full lock left for reference.) The angle on the Woodcraft set is more natural and feels great. I would highly recommend this mod.

Points to watch on install:
1. The clutch cable routing can be a bit tight. I GENTLY bent the primary routing tube to get it some relief to enter the cable brackets.
2. The brake line may contact the instrument cluster. It may need to be adjusted or flipped to create clearance.

Huge Improvement
Installed on an 08 Ninja 650 with the 1" riser. Everything fits perfectly and looks great too. The stock bars had me sitting completely vertical (5' 10") and I now am close to touching the tank with my stomach. The components look really nice and feel solid. I can still turn lock-to-lock without pinching anything or touching the fuel tank, which is nice. Had to drill holes for the locator pins for the throttle and blinker assemblies.

The bike feels much more responsive and feels much more stable when leaning. I also like that I am in a more tucked position so the windscreen directs air at and over my helmet (rather than the middle of my chest like the stock bars). The wrist and hand position feels natural and I have not had trouble using this with the stock rearsets.

I also love how cheap the replacement bars are for these.

Amazing!
I was tired of the upright position on the bike, when riding on the freeway. The clip-ons helped by bringing me lower.

Got the 1 1/2 inch risers, but kinda wish I'd gotten the 1 inch risers.
The bike feels a lot smaller and everything feels just right.

Highly recommend them.

Best Mod upgrade I made this year
Woodcraft clip-ons are the best modifications I decided to make for my ride so far this year. These clip-on riser enhanced my riding experience giving my bike a more natural riding position (14 ninja 650R) and feeling of more control through the twisties, they are easy to install and a looks good too.

I chose this because the aftermarket bars that i had on my 2007 ninja 650r felt wide and I was sitting too upright on the bike. I wanted a more aggressive, but comfortable riding position since I use this bike mainly as a daily commuter and i do log a lot of highway miles.

If I get the 1 inch risers will I be able to fully lock the handlebars? will I need to lower the bike any?
Jodi W on Dec 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: In the up position, yes, everything fits perfectly lock to lock without any modifications.
I have a 2016 Ninja 650, I want to know will I still be able to get full steering lock when turning left or right and will I still be able to use the factor steering lock?
A C on Jan 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes you are still able to fully lock steering wheel only thing is you will have to flip the brake line in order to fully lock not that hard to do really easy just look up on YouTube how to do it! Hope this helped!
do thsee come with the bars or just the plate?
A shopper on May 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They come with
Bars, plate and your selected riser (i went the 1.5 inch)
Also all installation hardware

I highly advise ordering the woodcraft bar ends aswell
Its a very nice setup and looks great
I have had mine on for about 3 weeks now and love it
Can I put the adapter plate up-side-down to go even lower like the Mt-07 adapter plate?
A shopper on Mar 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Watched a video from reczilla saying these plates are reversible?
I ride a 2007 Ninja 650r. I recently ran off the road and bent my stock handle bar. I'm interested in the custom look without changing the riding position too much. Which size riser should i get to close to the riding position that i have with my stock handle bar? By the way, I'm 5'7".
Omar A on Oct 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Probably to feel more like stock I would look at the 2 - 2 1/2" risers. I went with the 1" on mine and like the feel a lot more over the stock bars. Gives me a more comfortable sitting position. I'm also 6'1" though. So maybe look at the 1 1/2" to get a better feel unless you just like the stock setting then look at what I said before. Hope this helps.
where do I get the handlebar tubes for this product? 2012 ninja 650?
A shopper on Jul 5, 2015
Will I experience any interference issues (between the bars and fairings) if I use a set of inverted 1.5" risers to lower the bars (('15 Ninja 650)?
Callum P on Aug 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I used the 1" riser with mines and it clears pretty good just had to position the levers correctly but if your using the 1 1/2" risers you would clear the fairings cleanly with out much worries other then the position of your windscreen.
Do you need to get new grips or can I use the existing grips, and what's a food rise for a 2007 kawi 650r ?
Divine G on Jul 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I used the existing grips, it was a little work I used a can of compressed air and a flat head screw driver to get it off and then I used a little WD40 in the grips to slide it on the new bar (throttle side grip doesn't need to come off your reusing grips)
where can I get the handlebar tubes for this product?
A S on Jul 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Right here on REVZILLA, they come with or you can get the replacement bars.
Do I have to lower my yorks for my ninja 650r 2016?
Jon B on Jan 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Nope just installs right one! Just have to flip brake like that's all...
