Fixed my oil issue
Have a 2014 Harley 48 and kept getting oil coming out my air filter had the big sucker. Might be to early to tell only put 220 miles on this air filter setup but so far no oil. The oil vent lines drop closer to the throttle body on the V02.

Love it!
The Naked Air system is a little more technical to install, and not as simple a previous systems..which ultimately is because the air system was designed with more technical performance goals in mind. I will be keeping the VO2 Naked on for a long time simply because of performance. I love the mechanical Naked look and I can use my factory cover for a quick dress. I dig the large 2016 air cover, better than MOST covers on the market, and the Naked system gives me that ability.

Must Buy!
I own a 2014 iron 883. Just put it on my bike today. I rode my bike on a long strip of road and.......WOW! I'm blown away! Money well spent! I feel the difference and now my bike sounds like a real motorcycle, even though i still have the stock exhaust pipes on. As soon as i open up that throttle it takes off. The install was easy. If you have a tool box you're set. Took me about 30 min. I highly recommend this air intake. Don't forget to buy the fuel pack!! Once i order the shortshots I'll order the fuel pack. ENJOY!

Clean look and easy install
Can't get much simpler than this. Got rid of the bulky stock air cleaner for this clean and neat intake. Head breather hoses were a little tricky to figure out where to put cause of poor illustration on instructions but once I figured it out everything else was a breeze

Ride Naked
Great looking and performing air cleaner. Bought it thinking I could run it stealth under my stock cover, which I couldn't, but the thing looks so damn good I didn't care. Actually love the dark purple contrast against the matte black of the bike. I don't ride in the rain, so don't really need a cover. Immediately noticed the sound and performance improvement, extremely happy I made the upgrade. Installation was harder than I expected, but I'm a 1-beard mechanic, so not a real big deal.

V&H VO2 Naked Air Intake Kit
This was super easy to install. I have very very little knowledge about the mechanics of a bike but I installed this in about 45 minutes. Looks fantastic and works like a charm...AND it was shipped super fast by Revzilla!

Perfect Intake
This intake is a really good one for the price. I really didn't want to spend $300-$400 for an intake so I decided I'd try this and I'm glad I did. Easy installation and I immediately noticed my bike was a bit more responsive on the throttle. I would recommend getting the fuel pak. I did and it made my bike run perfect.

Easy to install on your own, just know that you will probably have to get a tune for your bike to perform optimally.

Wanted an intake upgrade to complement the new exhaust system I just bought, and the performance offered by this kit was perfect. The look also fits the stripped down look of my Iron.

Work is slow right now so the price is good.

Vance and Hines has a great rep for making Harley's run better so I elected to use this intake along with the Fuelpak to get some more power from my Roadster.

Vance and HInes is a trusted name in performance and reliability. The consumer reviews attest to this fact.

I just installed some short shots and I think this air cleaner will help with the air intake. I also prefer the air cleaner to be small so that the cylinder heads are more visible.

Looked at a lot of different brands/styles of air cleaners. This has the design I was looking for and the best value for the money.

I can't justify $400 for a simple air filter and intake. Plus, I wanted a lower profile fit anyway.

I picked this naked air intake kit because it gives more of a old school style
chandler w on Feb 10, 2015
I've been needing to complete stage 1 for a while now, I have the V&H Short Shots Staggered, now to get a bit more of a power boost and make the sportster 1200 run even better!
Zachary W on Jan 25, 2015
I installed this intake kit along with a pair of Vance & Hines Straight Shots on my HD 48 and used the Vance & Hines FP3 to install a made to order map. The performance improvement is AWESOME!!!
James P on Jan 16, 2015
With this intake, the V&H pipes already installed and the FP3 to remap my FI, the bike will run very sweet!!

Being such a "user-friendly", high-end device, I don't know why anyone could pass this up?
Don G on Aug 12, 2014
Highly reviewed item. And it doesn't come with the hefty price tag like the others.
Francis A on Jul 17, 2014

Adam S on Jul 4, 2014
match my vance and hines short shots.
Scott S on Jun 9, 2014
I wanted more airflow instead of what the stock air cleaner can offer. Since I have a V&H exhaust I thought I stay in the family.

On the description says that you can put the cover you want on it, it has to be a V&H cover or I can use a Harley Davidson Dark Custom cover? Thanks!
A shopper on Jan 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't use a cover for mine but I'm assuming as long as you have a round cover with a big enough center hole for the bolt you should be good.
I already have the vance and hines slip ons my 2015 iron 883, would it be okay to purchase and install this intake with out a fuel pak for a little while? Or should i purchase both when i have the funds?
Josef R on Jul 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You can do without the tuner but your bike will back fire like there's no tomorrow. If you don't mind constant backfiring then it's ok. But if you want your bike to run as best as it can get the tuner
Does this come with new breather bolts, or do you have to reuse the stock breathers? One of mine is stripped so it can't be reused.
A S on Jul 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It does come with new breather bolts on the touring intake. So it definitely should have them also for the sportster. Hope this helps.
Which is better for a 2013 Iron 883, V&H v02 Naked or the Arlen Ness 1 Big Sucker? This will be the first thing I will add to my stock bike.
A shopper on Dec 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: wouldn't recommend either until you get a fuelpak or something of that nature to map the motor accordingly. My expierience was it robbed poeer with out setting up the correct programmer. Either way its a style factor when it comes to deciding intakes. Unless stage 1 or stage 2
How do I clean the air filter on a V&H VO2 ? Instructions suck and seem to be missing info. on maintenance.
Lynn I on Sep 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I use the K&N air filter cleaning kit... Instructions with the kit are pretty through. This kit can probably be bought from Revzilla...I get it at my local auto parts store.
On this air cleaner, does it send the breathers (PCV valves) back into the air cleaner?
A shopper on Sep 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the bracket has holes that they fit through
Will I be able to use this without the cover?
Evi S on Aug 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I do not have a cover on mine, just the filter
what is the diameter of the filter element? is it 5.5"?
robert t on May 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 6.25 across bottom. 2.25 tall. 5.50 across too. I purchased a K&N HD-0800 as a spare and it fits the same
6 months after install this, the filter change to pink. Is it normal? Also, how to I clean it? Should I take it out and wash it?
Viet T on Apr 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Do not wash, the filter needs oil to work and what you are seeing is the oil. Also you can buy filter oil in a spray.
I live in Florida where it rains a lot. I dont do too much riding int he rain but my bike will be out in the rain while i'm at work. Is this going to be a concern for this air filter?
Jesse L on Dec 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Uusually filters have oil to help avoid that some what. Either way riding in the rain you'll be fine. I had the k&n and rode often in the rain with a complete exposed filter. Prefilters help abit, but I'm not a fan..
