My ride is a 2014 Triumph Thunderbird LT
The Vance and Hines are great looking pipes with a good fit and finish. They have a throaty growl that is loud but not deafening. Now comes the - but I wished someone had shared this information with me before I purchased them. Although the dealer said it would not be a problem putting these on; there was. No Triumph dealer has a map for these pipes only a general tune map. With this remapping or tune the pipes have a loud obnoxious popping sound on deceleration. What’s the fix? You guessed it a lot more money. Start by adding a Dynojet Power Commander V Triumph Thunderbird LT / Commander at the average price of just over $300. Then don’t forget the O2 sensor block off plugs for $25.00 plus shipping. And when it still pops (just not as bad) pull it into the nearest Dyno shop and they will custom tune it for another $250-300. That’s it you’re done! Now enjoy the very expensive exhaust modification, I know I am ?

Sounds great, looks good
Wakes up the Thunderbird enough to justify calling it a Thunderbird.

is it necessary to have an engine management re-map with these pipes or do they just 'slip on'?
