Vance & Hines Fuelpak Suzuki Boulevard C50/M50

Your fuel injected bike is equipped with an ECU (electronic control unit) that's programmed to deliver fuel to the motor based on an air/fuel ratio for a stock air filter and stock exhaust system. While the ECU can self-adjust for environmental factors such as temperature and altitude, it can't adjust for mechanical changes like adding performance parts. When you install a performance exhaust system, your airflow changes, so you need a fuel management system that adjusts your air/fuel ratio to match the changes. That fuel management system is Fuelpak. The perfect combination with your performance exhaust system.

Fuelpak plugs directly into the factory wiring harness and ECU using a t-tap and OEM style connectors to stay fastened securely to your bike. Vance and Hine's focus was on making installation and use as simple as possible.

Faulty product. Beware. It's not so easy.
Bike:2008 Suzuki Boulevard M50
Pipes:Vanes and Hines Cruzers
Air:High performance filter

I am currently in process of working with Revzilla to receive a refund, so this review may or may not stay the same.

Here's the story of how screwed up this product is...

I bought a Vanes and Hines FuelPak, ordered on May 1st to go with my new Vanes and Hines Cruzer pipes to put on my 2008 Suzuki Boulevard M50. I was excited to have this fuel processor to add to the quality on my bike. I followed all directions, ensured all connections were made, followed all guidance from FuelPak websites, only to be stricken with frustration by a faulty product.

I began looking up problems with this fuelpak on blogs, and the same problem I was having seemed to be occurring to others. When I would turn on my bike (without turning over engine, like the directions stated), the LED lights would not stay lit for longer than 2 or 3 seconds, which could not give me time to adjust the modes and numbers. No matter how many times I connected and reconnected the fuel injectors/battery wire (NOT FUN), the LED display would not stay lit.

So, I turned over the engine (with added throttle) and the LED display stayed lit. I added in my adjustment numbers, but when it was placed on idle, it would not receive enough gas to maintain an idle(I repeated multiple times). I was meant to adjust the throttle gauge at Mode 19, but when the engine was turned on and throttle maintained (to keep engine on), it would not read. And if the engine was off, the FuelPak would not stay on. So, it went in loops for hours. I could not keep it lit long enough to adjust throttle to maintain an idle.

Again, I followed all help from FuelPak websites, entered the proper numbers for the FuelPak, and I researched many blogs that other motorcyclists have reported having the same issue. I am in the process of obtaining a refund. My bike sounds great without it, minus the occasional backfiring.

Just be warned, this product did not work for me. It might for you, but I am just giving you a heads up.

0/10 for this product.
