Pretty darn good
So

These are my fourth different sportster exhaust. Ive ridden several thousand miles with Vance and Hines Short Shots, several thousand miles with Vance and Hines Round Twin Slash 3" slip on mufflers, a couple thousand on stock pipes and now about 500 on these. I got these on sale (closeout deal they had for this pipe on 14-16 sportsters for $620) Here's how they stack up.

Sound- They are, like Lemmy says, surprisingly quiet and have an interesting tone. In my opinion, short shots are way too loud for everyday riding. I always had that "I know I'm driving my neighbors crazy" feeling with short shots and the round twin slash slip on's. On the highway, they are quiet and don't drone at all. When you "get on it", they have a good, throaty sound. The loud, explosive sound you get with pipes that are nearly straight through like short shots is gone and replaced with a more refined, deep rumble.

Riding around town, they have enough volume for others to hear you. If you want the loud, hot rod sound, get short shots. They are the best pipe for the money. If you want a little quieter, more refined sound with more mid-range, get these.

If you have an FP3, you'll need to do a lot of auto tune work to get your bike set up right with these. I programmed it initially with the generic 2-1 map and it was horrible. No power and the bike sputtered bad on the low end. Listen to the sound profile 'Zilla did for sportster exhaust and you'll hear it sputter when he revs it. A good auto tune run will fix it and they run good now. Good bump over stock.

Style- I purchased the stainless set and they look awesome. On a chromed out bike, you won't like it. On my 2016 Iron in Denim Charcoal, they fit perfectly with the style.

Ease of install- they are very easy to install and use the factory exhaust bracket for 14-16 sportsters. Prior to 2014, you would have had to remove the bracket underneath the sprocket cover and install the supplied one. Newer sporty's you won't have to as it uses the stock one. Getting the muffler half into the two head pipes was a little tight but a rubber mallet got it in there.

Fit and finish- They fit fine. Bracket lined up with the muffler good after I got the muffler set using a robber mallet. Theres probably a half inch between my forward controls mount and the front head pipe. The ONLY reason I knocked a point off of this section is because of the heat shield fitment. Go look at the 'Zilla review video. You can see that there is a gap near the collector where the heat shields stick up. I may try to bend it down, but its not that big of a deal and you don't really notice it from a few feet away. Its prominent when you're standing at about 5 o'clock but whatever. CLEARANCE***- Everyone is claiming that they can't turn right at all. I had these at a pretty good right lean at about 45 mph and it was fine. It looks a little close to the ground but I plan on upgrading my shocks soon. I did stiffen up the sag on my stock shocks and its fine. Mind you, I am about 185lbs and a little on the short side so a sportster fits me fine.

Durability- Its a Two Brothers. Handmade quality S***.

Overall, if you want a good sound without the earsplitting explosive sound, check these out. I chose these over the Magnaflow Riot/ F-Bomb and Bassani Road Rage.

Improves many aspects of the bike
I needed replacement exhaust quick as my VH short shots was damaged after dropping off its bracket...my fault for not using locktite on the bracket screws. Ordered these in black, noticeably lighter than the short shots. Install was okay, 2014 and up sportsters uses the stock mounting brackets which I had to look for since VH had its own. After install, remapped using the FP3 and autotune. Now averaging 46 mpg compared to 38-40 at best with the short shots. Sound on this thing is perfect!! Deep and a few notches below the VH. Still gets loud when you need it...great to be able to control that. Using this bike as my daily commuter...for some reason the shifts are smoother...2,3, and 4th gears are more useful in the SoCal freeway traffic. Just a heads up, the black coating scratches easily and the heat shields don't sit flush all the way across...come up on the ends slightly. Can't go wrong with these and stand out from the other sportsters as VH is all too common.
