For the right type of riding, it's a nice jacket.
Now for my thoughts on the Endsleigh Jacket.
First the positives :
It has an outstanding cut and feels very comfortable. The back extends low and there are two zippers at the bottom to adjust the fit. The collar is nice and high and the sleeves are a good length for taller riders. Also, the sleeves are not too loose so the armor stays in place. It didn't come with back armor but there is a pocket for one.

The liner (not removable) has classic good looks. Its smooth which makes the jacket easy to put on and take off.

The zippers and buttons are good quality. The zippered cuffs zip to a good fit around the wrists - not too loose or too tight (my wrists are about 7.5 inches).

The Triumph badging is not obnoxious - just a small metal logo on the left sleeve.

The pockets are good-sized, well-placed, simple, and functional.

Now for the negatives :
I thought the shell would be a heavier duty waxed cotton. It is not. It feels like a soft cotton, but the tag states it is a polyester/nylon blend, which feels nice, but honestly its pretty thin. I have flannel shirts that are thicker than this.

Some of the stitching along the sleeves is single-stitched. I doubt it would hold up well in a get-off.

The belt buckle is pretty lame. It's a cheap green plastic that looks like the stuff your old toy army soldiers are made out of. For such a prominently placed piece, it should have been made of metal to match the buttons. In my opinion this really cheapens the look of an otherwise smart looking jacket.

The shoulder armor is on the small side and doesn't provide a lot of coverage.

The leather overlays, while nice looking, are a bit thin and seem to be more for style than actual protection.

In summary, I think this a good jacket for short (and slower) trips around town, but in my opinion the protection is just not there for faster highway riding.

Great jacket
Very comfortable to wear, all pockets are large. Right Breast pocket awkward to use being at an angle.
Definitely not waterproof. Took 3 days to dry after a downpour.
Love wearing it in hot weather as wind does get through and keep you cool.
I would like it to be as the description, but sadly not.

Fits well. Appears to be well made
I like the style of this jacket. It has a nice vintage look to it. I bought it to able wear off the bike as well as on and it suits that purpose for me. It fits me just right. I want to add a back protector and some reflective material before I use it for riding' I hope to make this my late spring to early fall everyday riding jacket. It will be a bit before I can try it out riding as we are in a winter deep freeze here in the northeast right now.

The jacket had the tall collar i was looking for, but the material was a bit on the flimsy side so I returned it.

Is this jacket insulated, or does it just look like it? (In other words, is it a good winter jacket or not?)
Joshua R on Oct 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would be prepared to layer underneath. It is a good 3 season jacket but not a winter jacket by itself.
Is this jacket water proof?
