Comfortable, stylish, protection
The features I was looking for most in a jacket were the classic black leather look with proper protection and reflective components. Once I replaced the back protection with Forcefield Sport Lite back protector it is now exactly what I want. I am 6'0, 165 with a slender build and the 40 inch jacket fits snugly. The arms move freely and it is most comfortable in the riding position. When walking around the jacket feels a bit tight across the chest so I usually wear it with the zipper only 3-4 inches up.

I have received very positive feedback from females while wearing this jacket and am confident in its protective abilities. It kept me warm in temperatures as low as 40 degrees and I'm looking forward to taking the liner out and riding with it in the summer.

Svelte stealthiness.
My wife purchased this jacket as my first leather. I immediately reviewed sites for armor upgrades and went for level-2 Cortech Armadillo for the shoulders and elbows (super cheap at less than $15 per set) and a Forcefield Isolator level-2 for the back (size 001) and they fit perfect. When you combine the supple reduced IR-absorbing leather, upgraded thermo-sensitive armor, and waterproofing, you have a trifecta of perfection.

I have worn this during several mid-80s SW AZ afternoons and find that it flows a fair amount given the four-in/two-out configuration. If I had a gripe, it would be with the tapering of the zippered cuffs relegate gauntlets to outside-wear only.

Finally, the true-to-fit rating is based on a 48" chest, XL jacket purchase. With the liner in, a t-shirt and a base-layer would be borderline snug. Shirt alone is more comfortable and easier to remove. Great jacket, great simple clean lines, stealthy retro-reflectivity, and will make a great 3-season (HELL NO to a 100*+ AZ summer) jacket! This makes ATGATT easy.

Very Nice
I am 5'10, 190... but I am not the guy in the video. I am muscular. The XL fit me perfect. I love the air flow and the armor protection. I did replace the back pad with armor. This is a really nice fit. The thermal insert is wonderful as well. TourMaster's put they foot in this one.

Tourmaster Element Cooling - I'd buy it again...
I just received this jacket yesterday (in Revzilla's usual expeditious filling of my order), and I did have a chance to take it out on a ride yesterday afternoon... My first impressions:

- Definitely order this at *least* 1 size larger than normal. I'm 5'9, 190lbs, athletic (read: gorilla) build, and with the liner in it's borderline snug in an XL. So, it fits just the way I like it. Soft, beautiful, leather, stylish, and you'll be proud to rock this.

- I ditched the crap CE pads in the elbows and shoulders, as well as the non-certified back-pad, and replaced all with D30 (which I had from another older jacket). For $400, I'm *very* disappointed Tourmaster couldn't spring for better armor. I'm a big Tourmaster fan (I have at least 3 of their jackets), but this was a letdown (and my only nit) for this jacket.

- The zippers are all YKK, and locking. Very pleased. And, the attention to stitching detail is great. Since the zippers have such a positive lock, a snap or Velcro at the cuffs is completely unnecessary, and the designers obviously knew that.

- The flexible Aramid on the inside of the elbows is a touch of genius. It's a major flex point, and won't wear as quickly as leather typically does in that spot, as well as makes the jacket feel more broken in right out of the gate.

- With the gussets in the shoulder, the pre-curved arms, and the overall fit, it makes sitting on my bike (Vulcan cruiser) a *very* natural position, and despite the heftiness of the leather, it's tremendously comfortable in the riding position.

- The drop-down in the back is just enough to cover you when seated, but not enough to look foolish if you want to wear the jacket off the bike - again the styling is excellent.

- My ride was in 48F weather, I took out the liner, kept the vents closed, and wearing nothing but a t-shirt underneath, I was perfectly warm. I can see going deep into the 30s w/ the liner in. However, I'm relatively sure I would switch to one of my mesh textiles above 80F, although, with the vents open, and the TFL coating they claim reflects heat, it certainly wouldn't be a problem in this jacket.

- Bottom line, a great jacket. I'd buy it again. But, Tourmaster... really... for the price, you need D30 or better armor included.

Excellent Jacket
I must state this is my first leather riding jacket. Revzilla as usual had outstanding shipping time and packaging. First impression of jacket is what a work of art and fits almost perfectly. I am 5'8" and a solid 175. I'm very broad in the shoulder's chest and back for a guy my size. I have a 43" chest so I'm glad I went with the large. Only issue is ever so slightly long in the sleeves which makes sense being a little big for a guy my height. The jacket is heavy and solid in a good way. Craftsmanship is outstanding. The features are very well placed and thought out. I have not worn it riding yet but can't wait. You will not be disappointed if you own this jacket.

Is the "articulated triple density back protector" also CE Rated? If not, is it replaceable with CE back armor?
Richard B on Apr 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Just watched the new video and they answered this. It is not CE Rated, but it can be substituted with a CE Rated back protector.
What size Forcefield Sport Lite back protector would fit a Tour Master Element Cooling Jacket?
Ben R on Jan 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Tourmaster backpad is 16" long and 11" at it's widest point. Based on this I assumed that the Forcefield Size 001 is the best fit based on converting the size stated inn mm to inches - 1" = 25.4mm. However, when I called and got input from Erik at Revzilla he indicated that Forcefield can't be trimmed. He recommended the Klim D30 or Alpinestars Nucleon which can both be trimmed. If anyone has successfully used a Forcefield please let me know. Thanks.
i have the coaster leather jacket in size large and it fits perfect even the size chart has me in a medium. Should I go ahead and get the size large in this jacket as well?
William H on Oct 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. This jacket runs small.
is this a waterproof jacket?
A shopper on Dec 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't think it is.. plus with the stretch panels in the inner arms it can't be.. I've never ridden in the rain with it so I can't answer from experience..
Sport, cafe or cruiser??
Trevor B on Mar 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have a Cruiser... But I will easily say all three plus just wearing it to look good... lol.
Does this leather stretch out a bit after wearing? Tried a large on at a motorcycle show but it was a little snug but I don't want it to buy an x-large and have it too loose.
A shopper on Feb 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'd say the sizing runs a little small, and it's probably more apt to shrink after getting wet than to stretch with normal use. Go with the XL, that's what I did. I am very pleased with this jacket, but haven't verified the waterproof claim.
Does the jacket offer a jacket to belt loop attachment strap? (Aside from zipper attachment)
A shopper on Aug 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No... but it has Velcro straps on both sides to tighten the jacket around the waist.
How many pockets are in the jacket and how many in the zip-out liner?
Do any of the pockets have zipper or Velcro closers?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Depends on how you look at it. There are two side (above waist) zippered pockets on the leather outer. Also there are two vents just above the chest with zippers. You could probably put something in them because they have a mesh pouch on the inside which extends well below the zipper line.

On the inner removable liner, there are two pockets. One on the left that has a vertical zipper. Large enough for a cell phone or sunglasses. Then there's a vertical pocket on the right side that has a fold over flap with velcro securing it. Also large enough for a cell phone or sunglasses.

I'm happy with my jacket. It has built in protection and has a reflection when hit with light. It doesn't look it but it's there. I purchased the pants also because they can work in unison and zip together if you're taking a long cold ride.

Best of luck
Does the jacket offer belt loop to jacket attachment straps? (Aside from attachment zippers)
Miles G on Aug 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Element only has the zipper attachment with sewable strip - no belt loops.
How well is the venting in summer weather?
