Good protective boot with nice grippy sole
My other pair of TCX shoe is the TCS X-street, which has good protection and looks good, but that darn sole has very little grip--in situations where there's a bit of sand or gravel, the shoe just keeps slipping. The X-square solves this issue with its grippy sole, while keeping all the protective elements that I want. It is a stiff shoe, but that helps with protection. That velcro strap does get in the way a bit when tying the laces. As for fit, I'm a 8.5 and the size 42 fits just fine.

Very Comfortable All Day Boot
I was looking for a casual riding boot that was comfortable to be worn on and off the bike and provide the protection needed.
These boots look great and have subtle lines that don't scream "motorcycle boot!"
They have no padded insoles as most boots don't, so wearing them was a bit uncomfortable as I have a slight arch in my foot. I'd highly recommend putting cushioned insoles for added comfort. That made a world of difference. I've worn them for several hours off the bike and forgot I even had them on.
They have nice ventilation on hot days. Velcro strap at the top helps keep the laces away from getting snagged.
I'd highly recommend these boots for casual use.

Good bang for the buck
Good bang for the buck sneaker style moto boot/shoe. Much better than nikes or flip flops. I was surprised how stout these were upon receiving them. It's definitely not a high moto specific touring or race boot by any means, but much sturdier than a normal sneaker or similar "moto sneakers". Toe box, heel cup, ankle inserts, and sole are surprisingly solid given the appearance of the shoe.

Comfortable to walk in for extended periods, average airflow, good foot peg feel. Could add a gel insert for a more sneaker feel if desired. Laces are kind of pain as the Velcro gets in the way when tying, but everything stays put after the Velcro is strapped.

I've been using these combined with kevlar jeans, and mesh jacket with armor for really hot days or casual rides to a destination. There is no ankle roll protection and it won't protect you like a race boot, but has it's place. You're much better off wearing these + kevlar jeans and armor, than just jeans and sneakers. The best gear in the world won't protect you if it's uncomfortable and you wind up not wearing it.

This boot runs long.
Great value for the money. However, this boot runs long. I wear a size 9 in running shoes I bought a European size 42 which is charted to be equivalent of an 8.5 . The size 42 boot is still too long. I am waiting for the size 41 to come back into stock so that I can exchange it. I was told by Revzilla rep that I will be able to return the un-worn 42 even after the return period expires if I buy the 41. Will keep readers posted concerning Revzilla customer service. Haven't worn the boot outside but examining it it seems like a good boot for the money.

Sleek and Protective
These are my very first motorcycle boots and I am really excited about these, especially when you consider the quality and features you get for the price. They really do conform to your foot as the video mentions and have a comfortable snugness to them. I'm a size 12 with extremely flat feet (no arch whatsoever) and the size 12 were the right choice. The inner sole has a cool rubberized texture so your feet won't move around while your out and about. Don't worry, your socks won't be sticking to the soles when you enter/leave the boot. The Michelin soles are a nice touch as well.

If your looking for a basic, well crafted boot, please consider these.

Favorite all around riding boot.
These boots are great. First off the price point. They're in that $100-150 range that is perfect if you're looking for a first boot, or an additional less technical boot for those days you aren't getting your knee down.

I was looking for an all around boot that provided good protection, while still looking subtle enough that I could walk around a little bit at the office or a store without feeling like Master Chief. These fit the bill perfectly.

The sole is pretty stiff, which is fantastic on the bike, but not so stiff that you can't walk around a little. That being said if you spend all day walking around, you're going to want to change into regular shoes. If your job is sitting at a desk you could commute in this and leave them on. They are low profile enough that people probably wouldn't notice depending on how formal your workplace is.

CE rated. If you're buying a motorcycle boot there's really no reason to get one that isn't rated. This provides good protection, while still allowing for easy foot movement. It falls right in the middle.

The only reason why I rated 4 out of 5 for the protection is that this is not a high, technical boot. The protection is great for what it is, but this is not a track boot. If you're a "enthusiastic" rider, just know that while these will offer more protection than a regular pair of shoes, they may not meet your wheelie popping, knee dragging, protection requirements.

Fit great
I love these boots and they're very comfortable. I wear size 10.5 shoes (ordered size 44} and my feet are a bit wide so I was pleased that they fit so well. Like they're not there. Haven't been caught in the rain but they're not supposed to be waterproof so no feedback there on how they did.

Great Riding Shoe--Just What I needed
I'm a new rider and found my boots were just too deep to quickly get under my shift lever. So I went looking for an alternative and found these. They have the ankle protection I was looking for, plus their thin profile makes it easy to shift. They also have a clever low-cut backside that makes pitching your foot easy. Glad I found these.

Best "casual" shoes I found for the money after a lot of looking
These shoes are ideal for someone looking for shoes that don't look like hard-core biker boots... something with reasonable protection but is more suited to a casual sport and sport touring bike look. These are also shoes that look and feel reasonable when wearing them around at your destination when not on your bike. They seem an ideal balance of cost, look, safety, performance, and construction quality. Granted they are not the most highly protective shoes out there, but you can't get that and reasonable looks and comfort too. For my purposes they are great!

I love the idea of the Michelin soles and they seem to provide excellent traction. I like the Velcro lace covers so I don't have to tuck those down the shoe anymore. The slip on and off without a lot of trouble but tighten down securely.

One note: They will likely seem too stiff when you first put these on. At first I was worried when I tried them out and walked around the house a bit. But after just a couple of uses they will loosen up and feel quite comfortable. I don't know if the shoes adapted or my brain did or both, but the end result is just fine regardless.

These were a replacement for my Sidi Doha's. They are as comfortable as the Doha's and provide more protection - IMO. Also, let more air move thru the shoe - good to have in Arizona heat. The price was quite a bit less than the Doha's too - so it was a winner all around.

Good reviews and good quality boots. The size runs a little on the big side. I normally wear a 44/10US, these feel like 10.5+. There are no half sizes, so a 43/9US should run big right along the 9.5-10 mark.

Needed proper motorcycle boots as the Harness boots were too tall to work with regular pants. These are comfortable and highly durable. Non motorcyclists friends have complimented the nice toned down look that they have. I will definitely look at TCX for more motorcycle shoe options.

Wanted a smaller profile boat/shoe for commuting. Not much room for toes on a Goldwing when cornering and these allow more clearance. They breath well which means they pick up heat from the bike when you are tucked in close. But also are noticeably cooler when you move your feet out to the ends of the pegs or highway pegs. You can feel the air movement.

I need a boot that is warm enough for Fall/Spring riding on the morning commute to work. Are these warm enough yet versatile enough to not be too hot for summer riding?
Scott H on Jan 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Scott, I've found these boots are super versatile for all weather conditions. I wear them whilst riding in summer in Australia and even on 40 degree celsius days they breathe well.
During the winter and colder months they're just as effective, they lace up high and tightly which keeps a lot of cold air out.
Hope this helps.
Are these waterproof?
A shopper on Mar 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: TCX X-Square Plus Boots are more water resistant, but are not waterproof. Shoes are definitely very comfortable and style looks awesome. I'm very happy with these new boots.
How comfortable is it off the bike? for like walking and spending a day wearing them.
A shopper on Jan 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There's plenty of flexibility at the ankle, at least when pointing your toes downwards. Moderate vertical flex at near the front, but they do offer good twist resistance. Unless you're standing and kneeling down a lot, they're plenty comfortable to wear all day. There isn't too much cushion in the sole so you won't want to walk around at an amusement park for 13 hours in them, but they're definitely comfortable enough for a normal 8-6 sit-down workday with some errands run throughout.
Would this be a good buy for everyday use + occasional off-road? Would it be enough protection? I´m not trying to become travis pastrana...In case a YES is the the answer for both questions, would you buy this boot or the jupiter evo? (http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/tcx-jupiter-evo-gore-tex-boots) why?? Thanks!!
A shopper on Jul 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You can enjoy your every day wearing these for commuting purposes. I can't recommend them for off road purposes even if your not riding like Travis. It simply doesn't have toe protection you want or need for off road. It's flexible and comfy. If I had to choose between this and the jupiter I would choose Jupiter because of it's gore-tex. But other that that it's the same protection. X-square is a little less profile which I like. Don't skimp on foot protection. Picking up a chick with busted ankles and toes doesn't project swagg..lol.
How do these compare to the regular TCX X-Square and to the WP?
Eric H on Apr 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: fit is good if U get 1/2 si. up take some time to break in 8 out of 10
How hard is the sole? I have an 80's thumper that is kickstart only. I'd like to get a shorter boot for commuting so I don't have to wear my MX boots all of the time but regular boots/sneakers don't protect the sole of my foot if I get any kickback.
Charlie H on Apr 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's thin but plenty hard. Barring backfires you should be fine.
My perfect fit is a 7.5 in men's. What size is recommended?
A shopper on Jun 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I found these to fit true to size. And they're very comfortable. They might appear narrow, but I've never had an issue.
If I am usually a10.5 US and have a wide foot what Euro size do you recommend?

Thx, Jim
James A on Feb 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Well for comparison; I wear a 9-9.5 depending on the sneaker. I ordered a 43 euro. The shoes are a bit long, but not enough that I could fit in a 42. They seam really narrow when you look at them but my foot fits fine, not too tight. As for the wideness of your foot, I'm no help. I would guess that if you foot is really wide, then you might want to look at something else.
