Wonderful overall boot for waterproof riding
I bought this shoe for my maiden trip ridding in Iceland and found it to be very good. It protected from cold and was water proof in river crossing. I had injured (burnt) the top of my left foot and my skin had not healed but the shoe protected me well allowing me to ride. Without the shoe there was no way i could have ridden forget covering 1700 (500 off road) in extreme conditions. I even hiked 5-6 kms on ice wearing the shoe.

Hot N Sturdy
The boots themselves are fairly comfortable, but High Socks must be worn to keep the tops of the boots from scratching your legs. They are fully waterproof and very toasty, too toasty for summer riding. In addition, you should be very familiar with your clutch as there is a loss of sensation while wearing them. Not comfortable for walking in all day especially as they have a forward tilt to them, as if really meant for street bikes over cruisers. However all in all I am very satisfied with the boots.

Great product for the money
I have put about a 1500 miles on these boots, and I am very pleased with them. Comfortable for walking when not on the bike, which is more important than one would think. It is not just the journey, but enjoying the destination too! I have had boots in the past that were great on the bike, but terrible off of it. I even leave them on when I ride into work most days, as they are comfortable around the office.

These are well made, and still look brand new. I have ridden in pretty low temps (upper 20s), and they aren't the warmest boots, but when matched up with some good wool socks, they are tolerable. On the other end of the temp spectrum, they do tend to get a bit hot, but for the protection they offer and the fact that they are waterproof, that is really to be expected.

I was a little disappointed when I first received them, as the sole isn't as firm as on the boots I have had in the past, so I thought that they would probably not last long, or would show wear quickly. I have been pleasantly surprised with the toughness of the sole, and the fact that they haven't started showing any real wear at all. I have one slight scrub mark from putting a foot down on a slight skid, but that is about it.

These are the first TCX boots I have had, but they definitely won't be my last! Great quality, great price for what you get, and nice styling that doesn't look terribly out of place off the bike. They are riding boots, so you can tell they are riding boots, but the low key coloring and subdued textures make them as "stealth" as possible, really. I have tried the "riding shoes" on the market before, and they just don't give you the same level of protection as real boots, so I think that these are the sweet spot.

Highly recommend!

These are good on and off the bike
I've put at least 1000 miles on these boots so far, I haven't been tracking. There IS a break in period concerning walking in them off the bike, but on the bike I haven't noticed any difference between now and the first time I put them on. I ride to college 80 miles a day and I probably walk a mile or more. I haven't rubbed a single blister, but they are a little stiff in the ankles until they get good and loosened up. I can comfortably walk, bend and stoop/squat on my haunches in these now. It's mainly the stiff top grain leather in the ankle that needs breaking in.

One thing I would mention is that if you have skinny legs you'll have to really use that velcro closure to get the top of the boot close to your skin. If you've got tree trunks for shins I wouldn't worry about it.

Overall I love these boots. I've walked a few miles in them and the soles look brand new, which gives me hope for durability. I've ridden in the rain and my feet stay warm and dry. If your feet are constantly hot I wouldn't wear these in the peak of summer, but they're definite 4 season if you don't require massive ventilation for comfort. They've got great styling, conservative branding and I can get my jeans over top of them.

Great Value!
These boots fit as expected and softened up quickly! I love them and do recommend them. They are very comfortable, especially for riding boots and I'm saying this with less than eight hours in the boots!

great fit
The boots are great. Nice slim sole, nothing catches or snags. haven't had to test the waterproofness yet, but I totally expect them to hold up. the rubber liner that is visible by the zipper appears solid and well constructed. very good upper feeling thru the boot.

Great for riding, not for walking
These boots offer great protection for the price, and have a wider-than-average footbed, making them comfortable for my 10-1/2E-width feet. Size 45 is a great fit. They are fairly light in weight for the amount of protection they provide, and the waterproofing seems very well done. But they are very stiff, even after wearing them to work for a few days and walking around in them. My feet don't get sore, but the stiffness of the sole is not very comfortable for walking. Also note that the toe box is pretty high, making it a little more difficult to shift gears on my bike.

The footbed inserts don't provide much support, so I replaced them, which helped a lot. I still wouldn't want to hike for an hour wearing these boots. But I will not hesitate to take them on a long trip...the combination of light weight, waterproofing and protection is excellent.

Happy with these boots
I got these boots mostly for commuting and something I could wear with anything from touring pants to jeans. I wish they came in half sizes, I wear a 10.5 so I had to get 11s (or at least the European size equivalent) and they seem to fit true to the size. With some inexpensive insoles they fit prefect and that add a little more comfort as well. They didn't breathe that great, but what do expect from a water proof boot. I have only had them in the rain for about 10-15 min, but they didn't leak at all.

Can't beat the price!
At first, these boots were a bit odd to walk around in as well as ride - it just took some getting used to, as well as adjustment of the shifter height on my cruiser. After a week or so of riding and walking in them all day at work, they were broken in and I'm really enjoying them. Great protection, and they take leather shine like no other! I really like the velcro zipper feature, and it's waterproofing is...waterproof! Yes they can be a bit warm, but knowing you're getting a waterproof tall boot, that's something you need to take as a trade-off. Sizing chart was spot on, if anything I should've even gotten a half size smaller.
