4 day review
I pre-ordered these because I liked the look, the price was reasonable, and the previous gen shoe was so highly reviewed.

I've been wearing them the past 4 days. So I figured I'd post an early review for those curious about them.

First, over all, I like them very much and if I had to do it again, I would make the same choice and purchase again. They look great with a pair of jeans. And I wear them throughout work.

I typically wear a size 9.5 shoe. However, the sizing chart doesn't have a 9.5 to pick. Revzilla sales rep suggested going smaller because the previous gen shoe tended to run big. This was spot on. I ordered a 9 and it fits perfect with plenty of room in the toes.

They are solid leather, so they don't breath much. Which is good in cold weather. I wore them in the 40's and my feet were not cold at all.

For all day wear, my feet did sweat a little after walking around the office a couple hours, but it wasn't unbearable.
However, the included insoles are pretty terrible (which is why I gave them a 3 for comfort). Very thin almost plastic with no arch support at all. This does make for good bike/pedal feel (I can feel the vibrations of the pegs through the bottom of my shoes). But it does leave all day wear a bit to be desired. They never hurt. Just lacking in comfort. The good news is that the insoles ARE removable, so I'm planning on getting a good set this weekend to swap them out. Should make a world of difference.

Now along with the cold weather riding comfort, I've also ridden in near 80 degree weather (weather this week in northern VA has been a roller coaster which is good for this review at least). Even though they don't breath that much, my feet didn't feel overly hot. Although I'm betting for more regular 85+ summer riding I would start looking for a shoe that is designed to breath. I'm willing to bet the "air" counterpart to this shoe would be perfect.

They also come with a leather strap to go around your left shoe toes when riding to protect the top leather when up-shifting. A nice touch.

As for protection, they have hard ankle protection and the leather feels nice and thick. The soles are stiff, but the aren't steel toe. I only gave them a 3 out of 5 because I don't really know how they would hold up in a crash and I don't intend to find out if I can help it.

To sum up, I like the shoe. Looks great, feels ok and will be better with new insoles. Warm in cold weather. Ok for warm weather. And I would buy again if given the chance. I hope this answered any questions any of you might have had. Safe riding!

Good, not great
I got these because my wife was sick of me walking around in boots all the time and wanted me to look more casual or sportier. First a few things about these that suck:

1. They don't look exactly like the picture. The scuff marks that come on the shoe on purpose a not really dark like the picture would have you believe, and the rubber sole is a lot less white than the picture would have you believe. The net effect is that the pre-scuffed look is more of a mess than like a cool, worn in look, or design feature. It's not awful, but I'm not a huge fan.

2. The leather scuffs pretty easy. Even a little scuffed up they do look good from a distance of standing a few feet away from someone, but if you are a perfectionist be warned.

3. They do not breath at all. This is too be expected with waterproof shoes, but your feet will sweat. This will likely bother people a lot more than it does me, I'm OK with it.

Now the good:

1. Style is overall very good, looks like a pair of Diesel high tops.

2. Protection, the toe box is fairly sturdy, the sole is pretty rigid, they are comfortable to walk around in, the ankle protection feels very good. Protection features are great, and actually I feel like these would protect me better than my regular moto boots would.

3. Waterproof. I haven't gotten caught in the rain since I bought them 5 months ago, but I have had to shovel snow and explore the total slosh that is Chicago in the winter time and my feet were always warm and dry. Warmer and dryer than my actual winter pack boots would keep my feet.

I have a feeling I'll be wearing the heck out of these this riding season, and depending on how well the leather holds up and looks at the end of the season may determine if I buy another pair. If they are totally trashed I'll move on to something else, if they are pretty good and a shoe polish job can revitalize them enough to get a second year out of them I'd happily buy these shoes over and over again.

TCX short boots
This is my first pair of TCX boots. Decided to go with this model instead of the more breathable mesh ones just for looks even though I live in Miami and weather is always above 80. I have to say the do make my feet sweat a bit, but no major issues.
Size is a bit large. I usually wear 10, 10.5 shoes and decided to buy size 43. It is still 1/2 to a full size big, but almost unnoticeable when properly tightened. Even though they run big I use them everyday as my primary boots now and they are super confortable. If I was to buy another pair I might go for a smaller size, but I won't bother exchanging this ones since they are good, conforamble and with a thicker pair of socks might still work. Protection is a plus, and the ankle protection is barely noticeable. You can use this all day and not even realize you have motorcycle specific shoes on. Still have not tried the waterproofing but I guess they will work fine to ride under the rain should that occur.

Awesome shoes, a bitch to put on and can get smelly
Love these shoes. They are what I use to go everywhere and even use all day.

Few things I've found.

1. Easy get damaged with shift pedal. Fist time I put the shift pedal protection pad, it fell off when I got to my location. The leather is now pretty scuffed up there.

2. Because they are waterproof there is no ventilation and they can get smelly FAST. So buy foot powder and change socks.

3. The height of the laces and the amount of threads make it a shoe that can take a bit long to put on and take off, unless you keep the laces super loose.

Even then I LOVE these shoes and will continue to use them a lot. Probably going to buy a second pair of another brand that's a velcro secure on, to put on fast.

Initial impressions
So I just got these today and have been walking around in them for a bit. Just wanted to write my initial impressions down and update once I get some more use. Probably when my Dakar brown ones come in.

Initially I feared for damage as the box came pretty banged up but luckily the boots were just fine.

I like the style and they walk quite comfortably. The quality seems to be great but keep in mind this is a venture in higher quality boots for me. They feel like they will need some breaking in and overall I'm joyed by their arrival. I plan on using these in some cold temps and hope the Water Proofing will keep the cold air out.

Only one gripe at the moment and that is that the TCX logo on the sides, in leather, is nearly half way hidden. But the product image shows the same so I that didn't factor into my ratings. Just here in the written reviews.

Great riding shoe
I really like these shoes. They have a style that go great with a pair of jeans. Plus you get the added benefit of protective inserts at the ankles.

I normally wear a size 10.5 or 11 depending on the boot manufacturer. I ordered a 44 (size 10) because of the reviews I have read. They fit great. I don't think that they will require any lengthy break-in period.

I'm also happy with RevZilla. I ordered on Sunday and got them on Wednesday. It was a very easy ordering process.

Pretty good overall
So far Ive done a couple hundred miles of riding with these shoes on. The comfort has been great. Ive only worn them in winter so far, and my feet dont get cold at all (ridden in temps down to around 40F). With that I can tell that these wont flow a lot of air if you plan to use them in the summer. I havent been caught in the rain yet so I cant speak to how effective they are at keeping water out. With how little air these let through, I cant imagine water will get through much either. These have a great look to them, and can be worn around like regular shoes off the bike with no problems. Theyre a little more rigid than a normal sneaker, but thats to be expected with the extra protection youre getting. I wear a 10.5 in most regular shoe brands, and I have a fairly wide foot. I got these in a 10 and they fit great. Id highly recommend these for a great fall/winter/spring shoe.

Excellent balance of style & protection
You won't find much better protection on a stylized "street" boot. While you obviously won't get shin coverage, the ankle, toe, and heel are all sufficiently covered and reinforced.

They are pretty comfortable to just walk around in, but are pretty stiff. This won't be an issue if you're commuting to a desk job, but might get tiresome if you're doing a lot of walking off the bike. They are relatively easy to slip on and off and look great.

Great Stylish protective shoe.
I currently own TCX boots (size 44), and wanted a riding shoe to wear during the warmer months and would be comfortable all day. First, the sizing. I wear a 10 EE shoe, the TCX Street Ace (also size 44) fit perfect and was noticeably wider than the boot, which was great for me. Very comfortable out of the box with good flexibility in the sole. Very comfortable for all day wear.
They are a little warm since they are all leather, which I expected.

I was really torn between these and its perforated leather counterpart. I went with the Ace, since I figured I may also ride in cooler weather and wanted to make sure my feet stayed warm.

My only issues I have (which are very minor), is lack of reflective material on the heel. Also, instead of a slip on shifter toe patch, I would have preferred a stitched on one, but that would affect the styling a little. I know I will probably lose that thing at some point. Just my preference. The sole insert is not great, which I expected. I typically replace with beefier New Balance insoles regardless.

Overall a great riding shoe. I hope it holds up over time.

These are the most comfortable leather shoes I own. Walked all day on pavement and felt like a regular pair of sneakers. Comfortable for riding but they do get hot when the weather is hot out. Still like these for riding in light rain, they kept my feet dry. I plan on looking for non-wicking laces though. The laces will wick water up to the pant cuffs even under rain gear.

The overall quality and protection seemed better than other similar shoes. The reviews were good as well, and the fact that they were featured in their gear guide also helped nudge me toward these.
