Great Commuting Boots
I am a newbie rider and bought these boots in April 2015 for my 50-mile (round trip) work commute. So far I have a little over 1,500 miles on the boots and they have been great. They are very comfortable. I typically wear a Size 10 shoe and have a wide foot, bony ankles, and arthritis in my right foot. I ordered Size 44 and they fit great. They are also very easy to put on/take off. There is a sturdy zipper that goes from the top of the boot down to just below the ankle bone. The zipper tab has a velcro tab that helps hold the zipper in whatever location you desire. Over the zippered opening is a big, full height, velcro flap that helps conform the boot to your leg. I have decent sized calves and I pull the velcro flap fairly tight to get a nice, snug fit. So there is room for you large leg types. The boots are also comfortable to walk around in if you loosen up the velcro flap a bit. The few downsides... the boot is warm even with the vents. I don't notice it much when I'm riding but once I'm at my destination I realize that my feet are warm. Wearing a good wool/synthetic sock helps avoid swamp foot. Also, I realize that TCX makes a waterproof version of this boot which I purposely did not get. I wasn't planning on riding much in the rain (scared!) but when you commute sometimes you get caught. It's not so bad though and I find myself commuting more and more in the rain. Unfortunately these boots seem to soak up water like a sponge. I don't mind getting wet so much but the boots take a long time to dry out. I got caught in one gullywasher coming home one night and it took the boots three days to fully dry out. They are thickly padded and when they get wet, they stay wet. I have since added a pair of Treds overboots to my saddlebags to counter this issue. Overall I'm very happy with the boot and would definitely buy another pair if/when these wear out. I would probably opt for the waterproof version though.

Great touring/commuting boots
I bought these as my first pair of motorcycling boots. I researched boots for close to 3 months before putting my money down. In those 3 months, I wavered between sport boots, ankle boots, riding shoes and touring boots. Saw and evaluated a lot of product videos here on Revzilla. The fact that I couldn't try any of the shoes in store was really the main reason for my hesitation.

Boots are really well constructed. I bought the non waterproof version as I tend not to ride/commute in wet weather anyway. The temperatures have been around 40F to 65F and I haven't felt hot or cold on my feet. Maybe when the temperatures hit the 90s, it might get a bit hot as these boots are not vented.

The first couple of rides were awkward because I wasn't used to the shoes and shifting felt really weird as did rear braking. I even contemplated returning them and just riding with my sneakers. But after a few rides, the shoes were broken in and they developed creases based on my feet and now are comfortable enough for me to wear all day at work. In fact I did wear them all day when I had forgotten to put my dress shoes in my work cubicle on the first day.

I really like the fact that the EVO has a full velcro on the zipper as opposed to the non EVO version which on closeout was $35 cheaper than these EVOs.

I have to wear dress pants at work, and they do tend to ride up almost to mid-shin and I probably look like a dweeb, but better a dweeb than a squid !!!
Jeans do not ride up at all, so it might not be an issue for many.

Awesome boots for the money
Great pair of boots for the price, they fit pretty true to size so I'd recommend following the sizing chart it's pretty spot on. They feel like they'd offer a ton of protection if you ever went down in them but they're also comfortable enough to walk around in if you need to once they get broken in. They fit great underneath pants so they don't look too much like power ranger boots off the bike which is a plus. Great boots would definitely recommend.

Another great boot from TCX!
Having ridden with shorter boots before, I picked up the TCX S-Square Sport Boots. The fit was good, but not perfect (no half sizes, so if you're in between, get the larger), but they were damn comfortable, even for all day wear. The only thing that I didn't like were the laces, but I never found another boot that fit me like a laced boot does. I have a weird foot apparently. I can't even wear sneakers unless they are New Balance, and only some in their line fit me right. Everything else, the heel slips up and it's incredibly annoying. Not these! These fit wonderfully. They feel quality and the protection offered is pretty good for the size.

So fast forward only a few months, and I decided to try looking at larger boots again. I wanted more protection, but more importantly, I wanted something without laces. I must have tried on 15 different boots locally before I gave up and looked for what else TCX had to offer. I didn't need a race or track boot, but I wanted something good for sport/sport touring. Found these and I'm SO glad I did! They fit perfectly, just like the X-Square Sports did! At first I wasn't sure, because they are definitely bulkier on the foot, but once I had them out for a full day's ride, they broke in nicely. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I'm even thinking of adding the Air version of these to my closet for summer riding.

Very comfortable boot
Ordered these boot size 44 to replace a pair of SIDI Cobras size 43 which have become uncomfortable tight in the toe box. TCX S-Sportour EVO Boots seem to run a little wide as I had to add an extra smei custom foot bed. They are now sneaker snug and very comfortable on and off the bike. My one niggle is the stiffness of the shift pad which makes feeling the shifter on up shifts a little vague feeling. Something to get used to. These boots appear to have good safety functions which I hope to never test out. For the price they are a great choice.

Great boot... but not for people with big ankles
I bought the size 47 based on reviews and expecting fit to be comparable to Sidi. It did. The TCX was a touch longer I think. Width seems typical Euro-narrow. The fit was okay except for the protective heel cup. If you have high volume ankles this boot may not be for you. I though that the boot had a substantial heel protective cup mounted to the outside of a basically straight boot heel area, but I was wrong. The cup is the actual heel area cover and, if you have high volume ankles, you can feel the upper edge of the cup pressing in on you. With that exception, I mourn the return of these boots. They are everything I ever wanted.
I suppose this means I'm limited to touring style boots.

First full motorcycle boot
I've only worn these a few time so far, but so far I like them. I wore them around the house for about 6-7 hours to make sure that I was going to be comfortable in them before taking them on the bike. They started out way tighter than I though they would be, but that's probably just me not owning a pair of motorcycle boots before (only been lace up "motorcycle" shoes prior). Wearing them around the house my feet got pretty warm in them, but the first time I took them on the bike for a 4 hour ride, my feat were fine. I need up riding for about two hours and the stopped to walk around town for about 30 minutes then was back on the bike for another 2 hours to get home. On the bike the boots are very comfortable and flow enough air that my feet didn't feel too hot, they were also warm enough that in the morning when I started out my feet weren't cold (high 50's low 60's). Walking around town I noticed the stiffness to the boots, but it wasn't uncomfortably stiff for the brief time I was off the bike walking around. The boots have loosened up some, but are still tighter than I expected, though I guess the benefit of that is I don't have to worry about them coming off if I have an unexpected get off on the bike.

I've worn the boots from the high 50's to the mid 80's and my feet were comfortable. The boots offer what seems to be some good shin protection but are still able to be tucked under a pair of jeans if you don't want to have that power ranger look when walking around town. Overall I'm happy with the boots. And fast shipping from RevZilla as always.

Very Happy with these boots!
I have been riding with these boots for over a year now and they have performed very well for me. FIrst thing is the size. I have wide feet and usually wear a EEE or more shoe. These boots have a wide enough footbed to fit me comfortably with no pinching or hotspots anywhere. I have ridden with these boots in temps from the 60's to 105 degrees and they worked just fine. For the cooler rides I wear heavier winter socks and bamboo socks for anything over 90. I have put over 4,000 miles on these boot and they are wearing very well. I wipe them down with a damp cloth after every ride and they still look almost new. I find them to be very comfortable while allowing good control feel. I also like the level of protection that these boots provide for the street riding that I do.
Very good boots in my opinion and if you have wider than average feet they are definitely worth a look.

Well vented boots
I was not sure how these boots would work on a daily basis but the are working out great. I have been wearing them daily for the past 4 months and there holding up really well. They are very well vented and I will be putting them to the test this summer. So far so good. Not comfortable to walk around in so take some walking shoes if you are walking a lot at your final destination. Always a pleasure to order from revzilla.

Wide feet. Try these! And they are track ready!
I have wide feet and after testing 2 different Alpinestars SMX 6 Boot sizes and their small width I tested the TCX S-Speed Boots and found those tight as well. So I tried these and found them much better. Sure there is more amour on the S-Speed in the calf and a little stiffer boot but I took these to the tack and feel like they are still good enough for the track despite what Anthony says in his video review. Still has the Velcro zipper end and full Velcro zipper cover, just like the Alpinestars SMX 6 Boots And the S-Speed. I had other experienced track rider check them out and they are telling me they are good to go. Honestly I have seen other riders with boots with less protection at the track. Also took long street riders and wore them for hours with no issues. Hoping they will open up in width a little more to make more comfortable for my wide feet. I wear a 10.5 US and purchased the Euro 45. I just got back from an Sportbike Track Time at Autobahn North Country Club for the last 2 days and these came through with flying colors on a Suzuki GSXR 600 race bike.

Employee recommendations. I was looking at at TCX shoe and wanted more protection. ATGATT! He pointed me at these. Better protection, but saving me a tad compared to daniese or alpine. Mainly because D and A* didnt have a boot at this price point. A* its around 30--350 until you get a boot that compares to a TCX model.

I just hope the size works, I am going on a last minute cruise up some of PCH.

Wanted WHITE sport touring boots. offered a lot of protection and venting. White and vented because black is hot and I live in southern New Mexico. It is Sunny and 99 degrees as I write this. Anything to avoid adding any more heat is what I look for. It seems like the vast majority of touring boots are waterproof, which is a good thing, usually but I don't care what they're made with... waterproofing hurts breathability and cooling. I carry Gore-Tex socks should I get caught in any downpours.

Currently have a pair of Alpinestars Ridge Waterproof Boots size 13/47. Fit is fairly good, with toes pretty much right at the end of the toe box.

Size chart for TCX shows a 47 is 12.5 US, and a 48 is size 13.

Should I go for the size 47 or 48?
Philip W on Jul 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hope this helps. I had a similar situation. I typically wear an 11.5 US. Size 45 corresponds to size 11 US. I purchased the size 45 because I thought the Size 46 (12 US) would be too large. I found that the size 45 was too short. I returned the Size 45 pair and ordered the Size 46. The size 46 fits my foot perfectly. Now, I realize this is slightly different than your situation since they do have 12.5 US. Based on my experience with the size 46 (12 US), I tend to think they run a tad small. Boots wear better each time I wear them and the quality is above average. I would certainly purchase these again. Best to you. Ride safe. Revzilla customer service is rock solid. I would not hesitate to go with your gut feeling and return if they do not work out.
Is this boot upper made out of leather, if not, how well will it wear and will it be durable?
A shopper on Jun 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The boot upper is a man made material. I have only worn my pair for approximately 2000 miles. They do break in and become softer and more comfortable each time I wear them. They are very well made and based on my experience they should last many years. They are solid boots. Offer lots of protection. Hope this helps.
Any water resistant properties?
Donald B on Apr 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have lucky avoid any hard rain conditions. I have how ever ridden on damp roads.in which the boots did get wet on the outside. My feet were dry after a 20 mile at 50mph ride.
