Comfortable wider competitor to SMX-6 and TRQ
I was looking for a boot that is not too flashy, has lateral ankle support, could be used for communing and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I've tried Dianese TRQ Race-Out, but the boots were too narrow. I also tried on SMX-5 (6 was not available) and also felt the boot was too narrow, and it could barely accommodate my large calf.

TCX S-Speed boot is wider and runs "true to size" for the most part. I measured my bare foot at 10.25", which should be 42. I ordered 43, and the boots are just a tiny bit too large. nothing some socks can't fix.

The boots are comfortable, even to walk around. Look good and easy to get in/out of. My only complaint is that there was supposed to be a $30 cheaper non-WP version that never made it to US. That would've been an even better value for me.

Well made, sturdy, yet comfortable
I've been riding in these boots for several weeks now, and I have to say I'm very happy with them. The boots are much more comfy than I had anticipated, mostly due to the wider footbed. The sole is sturdy and really helps you feel locked in when you're on the rear sets. Heel cup is made out of durable plastic, and the Torsion Control System does a great job of not allowing your foot to overextend or rotate in any extreme direction.

All in all, I feel much more comfortable and protected riding on the bike in these boots, and they're not bad for walking around in if you have to hop off the bike for an hour or so. The boots also don't scream "Speed Racer" if you have a pair of boot cut jeans to pull down over them. No regrets buying these. Great investment.

Great value...needs oil.
These boots fit true to size, and are as waterproof as advertised. My only complaint is an annoying squeak that has existed since day 1. I haven't bothered to lube anything yet because I bought them to ride, not walk.

Highly suggest giving these a chance!

Big Feet? Check these out!
I have a size 12 or 13 EEEE foot. I have been searching for a more technical boot for ages, and have finally found it!

I have been wearing these now almost every cooler day for a year now for my work commute, and the occasional weekend warrior trip. They are 100% waterproof in Seattle weather. Sure, the safety gear squeaks when you walk, but I don't think you should really be wearing these at the mall.
I average 15 miles/day each way, 5 days a week. The only wear I have noticed so far, is that one of the Velcro tabs in one of the zipper pull tabs, is starting to tear off. Probably because I pull on it almost every day.

I would like to report that the TCS and other plastic bits work as advertised. I had the luck to be wearing these during an unfortunate encounter with another vehicle. My right side was hit at about a 20 degree angle, while I was moving forward somewhere about 20 MPH. My PCL was torn (no knee protection) from the force, but my ankle, which also took direct impact, was protected. The boots are still 100% and I wear them every ride now. Had they been damaged, I would have still considered that money well spent.

For next summer, I will be getting a pair of these in the Air model.

If you have big feet, you typically get NB, Merrill, or other companies that make shoes for larger feet, check out TCX, and don't be afraid to spend the money on the gear, it could save you an ankle surgery!

Excellent boot for the money
I was unable to get the boot I originally wanted as it was not available and this boot was recommended as the best substitute by the very nice sales person. Other than being a little tight initially in the lateral right foot area, this boot is now my favourite set. It is well made with great style and safety features. Over all I am very happy with this boot and think it is a good value for the money.

Great boots for everyday riding
I wear these boots everyday and they have definitely delivered on all the attributes that I want in a riding boot. Very sturdy feeling with a thick sole that doesn't slip when putting a foot down on wet/ loose surfaces. The boots are waterproof and seem to flow air decently. The TCS system is a nice addition to the boot, but it does squeak when walking around which really isn't a big deal. There's good protection on the top portion of the boot over the shin that does protrude outward, so that is something to take into consideration if wearing tighter fitting riding pants over the boots. If you're looking for quality riding boots that offer a lot of protection, and are waterproof, then these are the boots for you.

Bomb
These boots are my goto for serious commuting. They are comfy, WATER TIGHT, and i feel safe in them. I've ridden in 30 degreeF with no issue at all. I've also warm them in really hot weather, which is not ideal, but when it comes to riding in bumper to bumper California traffic, it beats wearing chucks. These boots are one of my favorite pieces of riding gear.

Only Con: They squeak like a SOB

Had to purchase a larger size
Purchased the Dainese WP boot. Very nice, but VERY tight. Purchased these in my normal size, but sent back and got a larger size. These are comfortable. Soles feel good on the pavement. Good feedback when riding. Yet to ride in any rain. They did develop a annoying squeak which I was able to remedy after a couple doses of auto lubricate.

Comfortable for a wide foot
Most boots seem to fit on the narrow side but these are a welcome fit for those needing a wider toe box. I've done a couple of 10 hour days in them and me feet felt great. They are comfortable enough off the bike for short periods but I don't have any experience with anything over an hour or so to comment. I also can't comment as to the waterproof claim since I have yet to be caught in the rain. Overall a great boot if they do indeed stay dry as advertised.

Very Comfortable Boots!
These boots are VERY comfortable and fit my wide foot comfortably. I take a size 9 in my Red Wing boots so I looked at the chart and bought the size recommended which is size 43. They are dead on for me and fit perfect. I took them out on my bike for a quick blast (40 degrees here) and they are warm. They also look good over my jeans and I will have no problem wearing them around. A great purchase and I recommend them.

Carries at least some CE rating unlike any of Alpinestars offerings, and hasn't had all the screws fall out in two rides like the Alpinestars SMX Plus GoreTex.

I have been riding the last couple of years in my 9" leather steel toed boots from the Navy. The problem is they just weren't made for riding and are showing it. After watching every boot video, reading countless reviews and editorials on what to look for in a riding boot I settled in on the TCX since it has solid protection and great reviews as a wider shoe (I have pretty wide feet). Am super stoked about these and hope to order the non-WP version for the summer if these work out good.
Amos W on Feb 14, 2016
Fits my riding style, waterproof, wider fit, walkable and great reviews. I know if there is an issue Revzilla will back up the product 100%. Also, under $300.

After looking many sites I got back to Revzilla to buy this nice looking boot, which has affordable price and all the protection items that I was searching. I hope I picked the right size I am not familiar with the European sizes, in thes USA my size is 11,5, we will see it. Thanks

What's the difference between the S-Speed Waterproof and S-Speed Gore Tex; is one better than the other?! Also how does the ankle box/Torsion control System fare in wet? I have a pair of TCX RS2 and water always finds it's way in there and saturates my foot

I ride all 4 seasons. Does this boot keep my feet dry (and warm) when riding through snow and ice, and cool in the summer?
A shopper on Jun 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: yes to winter, haven't had a chance to use them in the summer
Is there a way to make the boot not squeek when walking? The sounds comes from the TCS. Its not that big of a deal but it still would be nice to not have the boots not make sounds walking to my desk.
A shopper on May 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I've had TCX boots with TCS for the last 10 years or so I found this works for me; use a cotton bud or tooth pick, apply a little Vaseline and cover the TCS joints well. Then move the boot around to work the TCS joints and then apply again. Should be good for 6-12 months at a time depending on how often you wear them
Hi everyone, are the sizing numbers true to size or do they run small? I usually wear 7 or 7-1/2 but have wide feet and muscular calves so its been hard to get a proper fit, I appreciate all the info. thanks
Arkadiusz G on Aug 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I feel it runs true and would advise the size 40 for you
Are these boots certified to en 13634:2010 2-2-2? If not then to what levels?
A shopper on Jan 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for the first hand experience! Still good to know what the certification is though. On there label there should be an icon saying 13634 and then it has three numbers. 1, 1, 1 is good but 2, 2, 2 is best and represent abrasion resistance, cut resistance and crush resistance.
How large are these boots around the sheen? Would it be really hard to get leather pants over them?
A shopper on Apr 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Your pants need to be a bit baggy to fit over these boots.
Are the soles oil and petrol resistant?
