Reviews & Questions
So here it is, I feel like this would be best in a video but I am not that confident, My apologies
I am going to start with why I wanted this boot. I am 5'5 and ride a tallish sport bike that I have lowered as much as possible and still safe. I am still a new rider and not 100% confident tippy toeing so I wanted the extra height for traction when paddle walking. My concerns getting this boot was the calf... I have a very large calf. 16 inches and I am a size 8. and most boots don't fit me but I was desperate so here I am.
Over all I love the boot, but it's gonna take A LOT of breaking in. Note that the size chart says an 8 would be a 40 but I have the TCX Women's X-Rap WP Shoes in 39 and they fit perfect so I went with my gut and got a 39 in these. It was the right choice! It's very stiff how ever, to the point it almost hurts to walk. The boot buckles in the ankle area, I do not know why. I was worried it wouldn't fit over my jeans but I was able to fold my pant leg and get it in there and it is actually more comfortable that way. The boot is also taller in person than portrayed in the picture or product review.
Bottom line I am unsure on them... I will take the $200 gamble and see if breaking them in will make them better. The elastic panel is large enough that it really does help give you a custom fit and wiggle room for all calf sizes even people with large one's like me. So yeah I'll update later after I wear them a bit and once I take my bike out of hibernation I'll let you know how it is logistically.
so I think everything else can be explained in the pictures!
I usually wear a size 7.5 women's (U.S.). I tried the boots in a 40 first and found them to be way too big. Went to a 39 after that (thanks free shipping/returns, Revzilla!) and those fit much better -- still a fair amount of room in the toe but the boot sits comfortable and snug on the rest of my foot.
- Very solid protection at ankle, toes, and heels, with thick leather up the shins.
- Kept my feet relatively warm through winter -- I have a short 5 mile commute that puts me on the road late at night and even in high 20s (F), my feet didn't freeze.
- Love the added height on the heel. It's not only sexy, but also functional -- I have to back my 400lb motorcycle up in a gravel lot at work and the soles are quite fair at granting me some added traction.
- Depending on your pants, you can either tuck them into the boot's wide mouth or wear them over the outside. I was wearing Dianese Travelguard Goretex pants and could comfortably do either.
- Felt great on the bike's foot rests and when using the shifter/rear brake. I saw some reviewers say that it was awkward to move your foot in and out of position, but I did not experience this problem. Nice solid armor in the toe for a firm shift feel.
- Not comfortable for walking. You can certainly move around fine, but be prepared to be stomping excessively loudly down any stairs -- there's not much flex in the ankle to allow for graceful movements.
- If you're riding in hot weather, these are rather insulated and definitely get warm. (This was a pro for winter time, through, for sure!)
Overall, highly recommend this boot.
These boots fit true to size. I too, have larger calves and found I needed to get knee sox to keep the top edge of upper from cutting in. The sox solved my problem, one could always wear them jeans in.
Overall, I am pleased with this purchase for price point.

Good support and ventilation. The soles don't have a lot of tread so not sure how long they'll last but at $200 not a bad deal. I have average calves and have plenty of room.
They fit a little tight, but since is leather they need a little usage to stretch a little bit and they fit perfect.
Is importan to usen for walk before a long journey, since they need some time to soften, because right from the box the are really stiff, but as I said, after a while being used, the are more confortable.
Even with a pair of jeans, water protection is really good.
They're decent-looking as well and not like my old "Herman Munster" boots. I was cautious riding at first due to reviews that mentioned getting a foot caught on the footpeg due to the heel but I never had that problem. The only other adjustment was getting used to the toe & shifter. Overall, I'd highly recommend them.
They are the trifecta of style, comfort and protection. Some boots have a tall shaft but no shin protection, (these have a thick but unnoticeable pad as well as a concealed malleolus plate) and although the heel is tall I feel very well balanced. They are much lighter than I expected, and easier to walk up and down stairs than my regular boots! Rounded sole and rubber heel are a good quality and won't get damaged hanging on pegs.
I went with the sizing from my running shoe, size 39 (US 8) and the fit is spot on. Soo happy with these. Wish it were this easy to find the right riding jeans!!
My only complaint is that the top of the boot and zipper digs into my calf and feels rough against my bare skin, but with the right sock or pants tucked in, this should eliminate that problem.
Boots are still stiff but they feel very protective, support my foot and very, very comfortable after I wore them a 3rd time. Very attractive, are waterproof and don't damage easily. Not a scratch on them and I wore them exclusively on a 3 day plus trip. Very pretty too, easy to walk in unlike other boots. Exceeded expectations.
