SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock EVO Profile Side Case Racks Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R
The SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock EVO Profile Side Case Racks were specifically design to accept either the Givi V35 or Kappa K33N side cases. They are constructed of high strength flat steel that allows the racks to contour and fit closer to the bike's body. The welding processes used in the manufacturing of these racks are EN certified to the same standards as rail vehicles.
The racks can be taken off the bike in less than 30 seconds with just a flat head screwdriver. Simply turn the quick-release fasteners on each side and you’re done. With the racks removed, only the small mounting brackets remain visible on either side of the bike. They are ideal for the occasional weekend tourer who desires a "stealth" look during the week, as well as the weekday commuter who needs an unencumbered machine for spirited weekend fun.
- Durable black powder-coated finish
- Steel construction
- Optional SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock Anti-Theft Fasteners are available (sold separately)
- Includes all necessary hardware
Note: Side cases sold separately.

Reviews & Questions
You can buy the set of locks (2 come in a set) made by SW-Motech as well. The locks attach on the top, back mount on each side, since the other end of that mount connects under the seat. The other three mounting points are easily detachable, since the other ends connect to the bike in the open, and would be pointless to put the lock on them. Only the top back will work. The mounting bracket that is supposed to attach from the rear mount of each rack to the bulky stock taillight assembly can just be used to attach the racks to each other in the absence of the assembly.
When you do the installation, use blue loctite or whatever non-permanent thread-locking agent as indicated by the directions. When cutting the small squares out of each side of the under tail plastic piece I found it easiest to use a razor blade/exacto knife and a steady hand - the plastic is pretty soft so it cuts easily. SW-Motech provides templates that you can tape to the plastic and use as a guide to make the cutouts on each side. They are accurate and to scale.
My only complaint is that the supplied directions are in a different order than the YouTube installation video from twis ted throttle. Anyway, be patient as you install and make sure the racks are in place before you tighten down all of the mounts.
I like the setup with the SW-Motech racks and Givi V35 bags. They match the ZX14R pretty well and no more carrying a backpack! Just remember you will be much wider after the fact. Enjoy.

I put a 20lb dumbell in each case (max load listed is 22lbs) and took them for a spin. I accelerated fairly hard with some lurches up to 190km/h and they held in. Went over a couple of small bumps and swerved around, all with no problem.
I have a fender eliminator, and these racks fit with the original fender and license plate. So I connected the rear crosspiece of the racks across the back and to each other, but not to the license plate since my rear fender is eliminated, and that SEEMS to be fine in the test that I put it through, and hopefully it stands the test of time as well.
