I can see clearly now, my elbows are gone!
Put a set of these on my 2016 Yamaha FJR1300ES today, and wow, what a difference they make. My elbows are out of the field of view now and I can actually see behind me. A popular mod to the Feejer is to put FZ-1 mirrors on it, but I like the look and color match of the stock mirrors, so these extenders work very well for me (and the black matches the black accents on my cobalt blue painted ride). Instructions were good, but getting that inner fairing panel off was a real bitch! That said, that's not SW MOTECH's fault and there are some resources on the Internet to help one with removing that fairing panel. All said, while a bit spendy, well worth it and highly recommended.

FJR Mirror Extenders
These mirror extensions worked out perfect and installed easily after I was able to remove the dash cowling. And they look like they belong.

good product but instructions suck
What should have been a 30 minute job turned into 2 hours. This was bike specific but didn't match my bike. Directions looked like a photo copy of a photo copy. Very dark images. You would think for the amount you pay they could give you decent instructions

Purchased as a way to mount driving lights on my FJR
The material is VERY durable, and will easily withstand the added weight of the average set of driving lights. The matte finish looks good, and they come with the needed hardware.

The HARD part is getting the dash panel off. I didn't find any instructions in the packaging and it took a bit of internet sleuthing to find out exactly how to get the dash panel off. Once I did, installing the mirror extenders was a piece of cake.

They are a bit pricey, but they work perfectly for my intended use.

Does the Job
This product does the job and, once you get the fairing off, is very easy to install. As other raters have stated, it is very over-priced. I guess since no one else makes a competitive product, they are taking advantage of us. Capitalism at its finest!

At the price they charge, they could at least provide higher quality hardware. Two of the screws and one of the connector shafts had defective threads. Menards to the rescue for about $10 to replace everything with upgraded stainless steel hardware. For this price, SW-Motech should have provided the better parts. Can't comment on durability as I only have 300 miles on them to date, but I didn't miss looking at my elbows!

Revzilla service was awesome, as usual.

Good product. Would be Great if it wasn't so expensive.
These are just plastic spacers and some bolts. They do the job great but shouldn't cost $65. It's ridiculous, but not ridiculous enough for me to return them.

The mirrors on the FJR1300 are not the best. People on the FJR Forum have recommended SW-MOTECH mirror extenders to provide a better field of vision.

Fitting hand guards, must extend mirrors to see

Because the mirrors were designed by a guy who was 4' 6" tall and weighed 85 pounds. Anyone larger can only look at their elbows in the mirrors.
