Perfect for your next trip.
Bought this because I wasn't ready to go with racks and hard cases. With some efficient packing, I was able to pack enough to supply all I needed for a 5-day road trip along the coast of HWY 1 in CA. Got all my clothes, laptop, walking shoes, chargers, toiletries, jacket, and an extra pair of winter riding gloves in the bag. Held all of it with ease.

Never felt the bag on the bike, and got the bonus of having a backrest to lean against. Mounting was simple, and I became super efficient at it because I removed each day on the trip.

The only thing I would change is adding a shoulder strap. With a fully loaded bag, using the carrying handle is bit heavy. Other than that, I loved the bag and would definitely recommend the purchase.

Great if you need storage
I purchased this bag to be used on longer multi-day trips. Lets just say you can fit a lot of gear in this bag and it was relatively easy to install on my bike. I did not even notice it behind me when riding vs. my big top case which when fully loaded is noticeable. Also, if you had to install another bag on top of this one, it would be easy to do.

Big and solid.
This bag is large and fits securely on the bike. Its cavernous main compartment swallows up whatever I throw at it. Didn't want to put hard bags on my wee and glad I found this. On my 2014 wee I set it right on the pillion so I get good use of the little back rest and my small factory rack is still free to strap my lunch box on for work. I like it a lot.

Spendy but good
A little expensive. I was looking to get the Jofama tail bag sent from Europe but I saw this and got it instead. Good fitment, really well made, Easy to install. Worth it. I just wish SW-Motech made a matching tank bag with strap mount, I would get that too.

I saw this bag on a friends bike and this will meet my need. Low profile when empty and plenty of room for a weekend ride.
Michael M on Nov 20, 2016
i needed storage, and wanted good quality. This thing is huge, which is awesome. Can pretty much fit whatever you want in it. And to make it smaller when not using the space, you can tuck the side bags away and it looks a lot smaller and more sporty.
Tanner L on Oct 14, 2016
Great bag. Ton of room and waterproof liner!!. Looks great on the bike. I like that you can just carry it with you like a duffle bag.
Jacqueline C on Sep 30, 2016
Tired of wearing a back pack and this bag looks like it will fit my bike by not laying on the mufflers.
MICHAEL M on Aug 2, 2016
I didn't want to add a bunch of racks and bags to my bike, so I was looking for something with good capacity, removable, and sleek. SW-M covered all the bases with this.
David M on Feb 27, 2016
Not excited about hard bags and backbacks, this bag has the ability to be big but can still be used around town.
David M on Jan 30, 2016
My current Cortech tail bag lacked the versatility, fit, quality and volume of what I think the SW-Motech has. Hope the EVO meets expectations for my BMW 1150RT.
Anthony \"Tony\" C on Dec 10, 2015
I chose this item for its large capacity, brand reputation, appearance, price, and because it does not require mounting brackets - meaning, I can switch it from one motorcycle to another. This will be used for weekend trips on a Ninja 650R, and Ninja 1000.

I was looking for a a tail bag for my FJR for a upcoming trip. With additional storage , ease of installation and being waterproof. Will see how it works out

Hoping this will complement my saddlebags for a 2500mile trip in July

We do a lot of motorcycle camping, I was looking for a bag with good capacity, easy install (on/off), that won't interfere with the side boxes of my Honda CTX 700. I researched a lot of bags. This one got good reviews and after watching some youtube videos on this model, I am hopeful this will work on my bike!

I have a BMW F650GS and need a tailbag to carry an Aerostich suit, boots, and helmet. Do you think this 50L bag is big enough?
David L on Mar 17, 2016
Will this work if I already have swmotech blaze saddlebags installed?
Melissa R on Mar 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It depends on how much space you have between the rear passenger grab handles and the saddle bags. This one will droop over the grab bars. If you don't pack the sides, it should be fine. Maybe just throw some small objects in the side pouches. I packed shoes in them and they stuck out quite a bit.
I have a 07 Yamaha fz6 it has dual under seat exhaust will this fit with the exhaust?
A shopper on Apr 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This bag fits on the passenger seat, so yes.
Will this fit on the new Yamaha XSR900?

About how far down do the side pockets hang when strapped to a pillion seat? Wondering if they would interfere with the rear turn signals on my TU250X, which come mounted slightly forward.
Elliott w on Sep 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The side pockets are tapered from front to back. The more forward part is deepest with little overhang at the rear. Therefore, this bag should work for your situation in my opinion.
I use this travel storage system on my S1000XR and it is excellent. Also consider purchasing the "tent bag" for tent, ground mat and/or just overflow. This convenient/useful bag straps perfectly to the cargo bag.
are these bags bike specific or are attachments universal? Just asking because I have seen them listed other places for specific bikes?
Aaron H on Jun 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They need a minimum base in order to get the most functional benefit from its main compartment. That said the straps are universal and long enough to tie down on a lot of different places. I hope this helps.
Is there a waterproof cover for this tail bag?
Nathan A on Apr 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes - but the waterproof bag goes on the inside of the main compartment and is removable. Hope this helps!
Can these bags work on a 2017 Yamaha YZF R1?
Daniel T on Jul 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: On the SW-Motech site they list this product as appropriate for your bike, so I believe you may purchase it from Revzilla with confidence. Their Blaze panniers would be an option as well.
I use the cargo bag on my S1000XR. I prefer it to the BMW factory hard cases.
