SW-MOTECH Blaze Sport Saddlebag System for KTM 690 Duke

The SW-MOTECH Bags-Connection Blaze Sport Saddlebag System offers an innovative way to mount soft saddlebags onto sport-style motorcycles. The system features mounting arms that quickly attach to the motorcycle and then slip into channels located on the backside of each bag. These arms make installation a breeze and support the bags to prevent side-to-side movement and potential contact with the exhaust or rear tire. The mounting arms detach quickly to retain the stock look of the motorcycle when the bags are removed. The SW-MOTECH Bags-Connection Blaze Sport Saddlebags feature durable YKK RC-Fuse zippers and are expandable from 14 to 21 liters per bag.

  • Made from high quality 1680 ballistic nylon
  • Volume 14-21 liters per saddlebag
  • Solid panniers prevent contact between saddlebags and tires
  • Quick lock pannier bracket
  • Main compartment with top loading function and outside pocket with side loading function
  • Reflective trim
  • RC-Fuse zippers
  • 2 Year warranty

Included Accessories:

  • Mounting hardware
  • Waterproof inner bags

Yes, there are saddlebags for the KTM 690 Duke
Installation is painless and took less than 30 minutes. The brackets fit between the passenger footpegs and the frame – reusing the existing mounting bolts. Required tools included 3mm and 4mm Allen wrenches, a T45 Torx wrench and an 8mm socket wrench. Plus, as with all things motorcycle, some blue threadlock is never a bad idea.

My Duke is equipped with an OEM luggage rack, and it did not interfere with saddlebag installation. The handgrips on the luggage rack, which extend around the passenger seat, help to support the saddlebags and put a bit more distance between the right bag and the muffler. On the downside, the luggage rack handgrips are completely covered by the velcro straps between the saddlebags, and they no longer can be used as handgrips.

Appearance is good. The bags hang evenly on the motorcycle and do not look like an afterthought, and the red lining is cool. Only the support straps across the top of the passenger seat look sketchy. Once installed, the saddlebags and the support arms take less than a minute to remove, returning the Duke to its original, awesome form.

From a function standpoint, the SW-Motech saddlebags are effective. Given their size, I would not want to live out of them for two weeks; however, for commuting or weekend trips, their capacity is adequate. The zippered expandability feature is well-thought-out and adds useable volume to the bags. The included waterproof innerbags keep things dry and are oversized enough to expand when the bags are expanded.
