Coming back from tail of the dragon, I low sided going roughly 20-25 with these. With my knee swinging outward, it contacted first. Went through the jeans, the backing, and 2 pairs of thermals. For this price or higher, I would not buy. I prefer to sew in my own kevlar and patches going forward.
The sizing on these was a little weird, very open wide at the pant leg, but a little snug at the waist. I believe the initial wash did this. The legs themselves were still a bit big though; even when wearing my thick alpine star boots. Of course this lead to a lot of flapping. The legs were definitely a bit longer than expected as well (I'm about 5'9").
Also found that the jeans are made in a "line" pattern. I snagged a nail or corner of something and instead of catching, it just tore a straight line through the pant leg. Other jeans of mine (that are not road jeans) would snag on something similar and just leave a hole. With this, I now have a 2-3 inch straight rip. Hopefully this makes sense in the picture.
Jeans run way small in the waist and way long in the legs. I'm usually a 30x30, so that's what I ordered. Waist is nearly too tight to button and the legs are a solid 5" too long. Even in boots and sitting on the bike, they drag behind me.
Then there's the quality. The denim feels really cheap and thin. If these were regular jeans, you'd pay $10 for them and feel ripped off. I'd be surprised if they lasted a month of regular use and washings. The amount of kevlar is a joke too, barely covers anything and due to the excess length, the knee patches are around my shins. Never heard of anyone sliding down the road on their shins, so cant see much use there.
Great jeans, I would recommend them to anybody, as long as you keep in mind they are a little bit more abrasion resistances pants but they are just pants, they offer no protection other than against road rush.

Overall, I purchased these jeans because I wanted a dedicated pair of jeans for when I ride, instead of wearing my typical jeans. Additionally, because these are meant for MC riding, I wrongly assumed these would provide "extra protection" in the event something should ever happen. Well, thank goodness I haven't had to "field test" the protection, but you can tell as soon as you touch, wear and look at these jeans, they have nothing to do with protection. They are just a very comfortable, soft, light pair of jeans.
So high marks for comfort and color. Low marks for safety. AND, the lowest marks for the wide boot bottoms on these jeans. "The 70s called and then want their jeans back!!!"
These jeans are really good looking and for the money not a bad deal. Protection is one notch up from a decent pair of jeans and quality seems good. Only complaint is sizing. These jeans are small. DEFINITELY order one size up. I'll be exchanging mine.
I got a pair of these jeans around christmas as a gift. They fit a little on the small side but they aren't bad and decently comfortable to wear around all day. I have gone riding and then ran home changed into a nicer shirt and went out with these jeans on before, and nobody noticed I'm wearing protective motorcycle jeans. My biggest complaint and this seems to be with all of my Speed and Strength gear is that the stitching is terrible. I have maybe worn these jeans 5 or 6 times and they have been washed only a couple of times, and I now have a hole in the left hip pocket where the stitching and torn out. This is the last speed and strength anything I will use.
They are a bit snug in the waist for the size ordered. Luckily I had lost a few pounds before I ordered them, so although a bit small, they are wearable. Length was fine, and fit and finish was nice. They wear like regular loose fit jeans.
If you are buying these and planning to wear them around casually afterward then you might want to consider another pair. After I got these I wore them for a while but could never get over the fact that they fit nothing like a good pair of jeans. The kevlar only covers certain areas and really, they seem kind of cheap. I trust my carhartt jeans more than these.

I didn't want to begin riding (I'm a noob) with no protection at all. I plan to be a safety conscious rider and, at the very least, these will protect me from abrasion injuries.
Good pants, they do get a bit hot, but then again with protect comes a cost. They do run a bit baggier then i would like but i have just made them my longer ride pants. I wish I would have gotten a size smaller then I did. I normally wear a 32x30 fits a bit longer than they describe. Consider going down a size. They do feel and look like normal jeans which i like so i dont feel like a fool wearing them around town.
Looked like normal jeans. Good price for first time buying this type of gear. My husband is fairly picky so we'll see on Father's Day how well he likes this pair. :)

BEST ANSWER:I wear them in the summer and they're fine. I live in Washington, DC where it is very humid, so I am still rather warm when riding in the summer but compared to other motorcycle pants I've worn, they're relatively comfortable.

I wear these all year long here in California. I dont find them to get hot at all. Just like wearing normal jeans but with kevlar. They have been my favorite riding jeans to wear so far.
If you wear a 33 then get the 34 and use a belt is probably the best thing. I doubt they will be to baggy at 34 that you'll even notice. They are cut pretty skinny actually.
BEST ANSWER:I would say it's a generic blue. These pants are the same color as middle of the road blue jean after maybe ... 3 washings? It's not obnoxious and it's not super dark. It's the same color as Lee and Levi default to.
