...a complimentary piece, not the main attraction...
History:
Before I purchased these shoes I was typically riding in my service issued dessert boot, mostly because that was the only “over-the-ankle” foot protection I owned, I dawned on my trusty brown boots for my MSF course and never looked back. As time, taste, and income changed I began looking for something a little more roadworthy and stylish. I saw similar footwear on all of the cool moto-journalist I followed and took the plunge.

Initial impressions:
Out of the box I could tell these were the real McCoy. The outer construction was thick, the sole had grip, and the plastic was hard. In the frenzy to find some proper footwear I must have overlooked the fact that these secure via Velcro (not shoe strings, or clasps, nor zippers), no big deal, I threw them on and noticed they were a bit tight. Being a newb I went strictly off the sizing chart and ordered a 42 for my 8.5 wide US sized foot. I figured they would break in, threw away the box and rode away.

Operation:
Being the first pair of legitimate riding shoes owned, I was blown away! The heel helped me stand tall and confidently at stops, the vents rushed in air to cool my dogs on hot summer days, I felt so much more protected in the event of a spill, the toe shift pad was heaven sent as my shifter was no longer digging into my big toe. Why I didn’t get proper footgear in the first place is beyond me. Eventually, the shoe did break in from length, but these still tire my feet from the side compression on lengthy rides or walking around for more than half an hour. The Velcro takes some getting used to and there is some play near the ankle from not being able to fully secure the top portion of the shoe with the hook-and-loop fastener. Also the shoe does a great job of scuffing up my chain guard with whatever that black coating is on heel.

Random:
I love these shoes; they look good under a pair of jeans and are my go-to footgear when I need to get on my bike and go. However, I feel they should have been a complimentary piece, not the main attraction. The vents make riding in the rain or even in some Midwest autumns impractical. The hard plastic toe scuff pad would do great to keep a slide, but can’t help feeling I would easily role my ankle or have my foot crushed under the bike from the lack of ankle protection. For the price, I could have paid a little extra and purchased a pair of real boots with some shin and weather protection required for a majority of my sport touring rides. These shoes make an excellent addition for short casual summer rides if you already have a set of boots for the rest of the year.

Awesome!!!!
Where to begin, I've had these boots for several weeks and thousands of miles (very long daily commute) I wear a size 10 shoe and a size 9 boot. I bought the 43, wearing boot socks when I ride they fit perfectly. We've been through 40-90 degree weather and my feet have felt great through all of it. Warm in the cold and dry and comfy in the heat. Their easy to get on and off and are fairly comfortable to walk around in. I debated between the Alpinestars MX-1 and the Dainese short shifts. Glad I got the Sidi. Hope this review helps in anyone's decision making.

LOVE my shoes!
I love these riding shoes, not only because they fit great, feel great and look great but because I didn't want to buy leather shoes and these are made of a different technical fabric which is exactly what I wanted. I feel really secure in them and am extremely happy with the quality and the product.

Euro sized amazing product
Great bang for the buck. Easy to slip on and off and doesn't feel lose or like it is going to fall off when riding. The leather scuffs easy so be careful if you are like that. Great riding shoe but not the most comfortable to walk around in for an extended period of time.

Excellent shoe with Italian pedigree.
This is my first motorcycle specific pair of boots and I mostly use them for city riding, freeway on occasion. I’m on and off the bike all the time and these are very comfortable for walking as well riding (as comfortable as motorcycle boot with stiff sole can be), they don’t restrict your foot movements and very easy to put on and take off.
Although this boots do have some good protection futures they fit more on relaxed/touring side then a pure “super snug” racing side.
Overall very happy with the product!

First boots
I've owned Sidi bicycling shoes before and thought the moto boots would be a great investment. The fit is great, they're not too stiff, easy to walk in, and easy to get on and off. Didn't really notice any difficulty in shifting as some other have mentioned. Plus they look decent with jeans.

I love these boots! My boyfriend had bought the Sidi Streetburner, which unfortunately was out of stock for my size so decided to get the Blade instead. I love how you can wear it for riding and won't look too bulky when you walk around shopping areas after a ride. I bought a US 5.5 when I am normally a US6, I took a risk cos my size wasn't available but they fit perfectly!

A great protection and comfortable riding shoe.
These are probably one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. After riding 100 miles to get a burger, on and off the bike they work. They almost look like a normal pair of shoes, so you don't look weird walking down the street after a ride in these. With the non slip sole it provides a lot of traction on oil slick roads, which here in Texas when it doesn't rain in months the roads get very slick. I still have to try them out on a really long trip, but for riding too and from work with a little play in between, these are just great.

I bought Sidi boots first. Size 50 and they barely fit. The size 50 Blade shoe is even tighter than the boot. Never wear them.

When you get off the bike, these become more comfortable to walk around in, than $1000 dollar Italian shoes!

I've been looking for a pair of boots that fit me and look stylish and are protective. Most Motorcycle boot companies don't make my size so it was between this pair and the Alpinestar. These look better and I liked the reviews.

Are they waterproof?
Thomas R on Feb 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, up to the notch before the top two lace holes. Which basically the whole boot.
I have the sidi vertigo boots in a size 14 that are a little too big. Do these run about the same? If so I'll need a 13. Thanks
John H on Feb 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They run true to size. I wear a 10 in most shoes, the 10 is perfect on me.
