I've really enjoyed these boots for sport rides and for longer sport-touring trips. Can't recommend them highly enough. I like that they are more comfortable than a full track day boot while still providing some of the protection and features in a 3/4 street-oriented boot.

As for sizing, the 11 / 45's I ordered were too tight in the toe box. The Gear Geeks recommended going up two sizes instead of one. I ended up with 12.5 / 47's for a perfect fit.

They are SIDIs, what more do you want?
J F on May 10, 2017
stylish and matches everyday riding as well as some touring.
Ronald G on May 8, 2017
Protective, stylish, not a full boot.

I wear these every time I ride. The protection seems to be really good. They are very comfortable to ride in, and reasonably comfortable to walk in too.

Will be returning due to fit problems.

Great boots but shifter pad cut into my toes.
Mike Z on Aug 13, 2016
Added protection and smooth soles...been wearing clunky boots with rugged soles, which interfere with foot controls.
Mark L on Jul 21, 2016
Good product!
Val L on Apr 29, 2016
I needed some riding footwear that offered better protection than tennis shoes or basketball shoes.
Michael H on Apr 20, 2016
I really wanted some shorty boots for more casual rides. These still provide good ankle protection but I highly recommend wearing some kneepads that also provide shin protection.
Bradley G on Apr 4, 2016
Needed everyday sportbike boots for my Duc 1098R riding.
Ted B on Apr 2, 2016
looking to replace my current riding boots that have worn out. These looked like they would be pretty solid and the reviews were good.
aaron b on Mar 27, 2016
New bike owner looking for good street protection without going to a full race boot.
vivaitalia on Mar 14, 2016
I wanted a daily commuting boot that offered more protection than a riding sneaker. These look nice and had great reviews.
SrsBsns on Mar 1, 2016
my old smx-1 boots are beginning to wear out after 3 years.
David M on Jan 27, 2016
Very comfortable and easy to get on and off. The ventilation could be better. The boots is a good all-arounder.
Sina S on Jan 22, 2016
Had a similar pair before
Timothy W on Jan 2, 2016
reputation, but they were a let-down. returned, and am trying the SMX 3's
CARL C on Nov 3, 2015
The SIDI Apex Boots are well designed, fit perfect and look great! I use them for my daily commute and I appreciate the comfort and performance for my style of city/highway driving.
Moto Al on Aug 11, 2015
I was specifically looking for a daily commute short riding boot. Looks, price, reviews of the SIDI Apex made me buy this boot.
Girish S on Jul 29, 2015
I currently own the Velocity Boots and am very satisfied with the quality, fit, and protection offered.
Richard W on Jul 27, 2015
based on reviews and protection and looks

I already use Sidi for mountain and road cycling, plus have their Adventure Rain boots for winter. Stuff Rocks!

Sorry I made three separate purchases! I just kept finding stuff I'd forgotten you have in one place! Duh!!

had the streetburner for a while and a liked it but it is worn out - time for a new one - this also has a high ankle coverage for better stability and protection
minh t on Jun 23, 2015
i have the Vertigo boot. very happy with it but wanted to have a shorter version for certain situations
K I on Jun 8, 2015
Great protection and comfortable fit
Miguel D on May 18, 2015
Working in an OR providing anesthesia all day, I know how complicated the foot and ankle are, and my last pair of Sidi boots lasted nigh 10 years with superb protection - so when it was time to replace them, I bought these and the Adventure Rain boots. They're both awesome. I use these less often though. I like the increased protection of the higher shin guard on my other boots. These may end up on craigslist, not because they're not awesome, but because they're slightly less awesome.
Andrew H on May 5, 2015
mini vertigos!

slowly trying to have more protection when I ride

KNEW THAT SIDI WAS A GOOD NAME. WANTED A LOW CUT BOOT AND THIS SEEMS TO BE THE PERFECT MATCH.
TRACEY S on Mar 15, 2015
look sharp and give you that extra protection for everyday riding
Justin S on Feb 25, 2015
Didn't want a full boot, and you can't beat Sidi for style and quality
Michael C on Dec 4, 2014
Have the Vortice for the track and thought I'd give this boot a try. I usually where a full boot one the street was time for a new pair so I'm trying a lower cut
ENZO on Oct 28, 2014
They have replaceable toe sliders and decent protection without too much swoopy styling, although it still has way too much styling and logos, etc.
Mark G on Sep 30, 2014
My Daughter wanted them for her Birthday.
Joe G on Sep 2, 2014
Quality of SIDI, price, low cut style
Tim H on Aug 21, 2014
The reviews were good and this shoe will fit as a good daily commuter and weekend riding boot I feel from the description. I have been using Sidi cycling shoes exclusively and expect their Moto boots to be of equal quality. If these work well I may plan on buying a fuller coverage boot like the Sidi Canyon.
Nick H on Aug 13, 2014
I am a new rider, getting my first set of gear together. A guy at work has pointed me in the right direction on choosing the proper gear for comfort and protection. I look forward to getting these boots added to my collection of gear! Cant wait to get on the road as a rider with the rest of the biker community!
Christopher A on Aug 7, 2014
Good reviews, didn't want to sacrifice function for looks
Ryan W on Aug 4, 2014
Looking for a lower boot that offers good protection, without going into a full racing boot.
Mike M on Jul 28, 2014
to see if the higher boot is more secure feeling than the Dianese CB 2 shoe. Not sure about the zipper fit or the fact that a 47 is a 12.5 instead of 13. We will see
Ken A on Jul 8, 2014
"These boots were made for walking"...and ridin'. Nancy Sinatra had it going on, back in the day. Google it. You'll see.
Dave S on Jun 19, 2014
I have other SIDI boots. They are just above many other brands.
Very good quality and design.
FRANCK B on Jun 9, 2014

Sidi quality are next to none, this is my 3rd pair of the brand, this set for my less serious outings.

They are SIDIs, what more do you want?
J F on May 10, 2017
Are these waterproof?
Amit P on Sep 17, 2013
BEST ANSWER: No. They are water resistant, so your feet will stay fairly dry if you ride in the rain, but if you submerge your foot in water this boot will leak.
Are the Sidi Apex boots cut small or a bit bigger? I wear either an 11 for smaller cut shoes/boots or an 11.5 if the cut is bigger.
A shopper on Feb 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: They are cut pretty true... I mostly wear a size 12 but occassionally I need a 13 and I ordered the 12.5/47 and the fit was spot on. The 11.5/46 should be perfect for you.
hi im coming from the speed and strenght momment of truth shoes and mines have adjustability across the top for when the leather/shoe stretches so the shoe never becomes loose. it seems like theese boot do not have any adustability do you feel that theese boots will stretch too much with everyday use due to lack of adjustability to keep them snug ?
steven b on Nov 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Steven, not worn these a tremendous amount, but I would say in common with most European brands the width tends towards narrow. Also these are made of a synthetic material rather than leather so in theory they shouldn't stretch as much. Sorry to be a bit vague but Sidi is a quality brand and these are great boots so I don't think you'll be dissapointed.
Hi everyone, I want to know, can you wear jeans inside this sidi apex boots? Please answer my question, I really appreciate every answer. Thank you.
A shopper on Oct 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Not really, they are ment to go under your pants. I would get the sidi st or st air if you want to wear your boots over your jeans. The apex is more of a riding shoe than a boot.
Hey! Love your reviews. Question: Sidi Apex or Streetburner?? I'm a noobie, will be commuting to work, walking around, and I obviously want protection. Pros/cons of each?
Thanks!
A shopper on Sep 26, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I started off with the Sidi Apex and I wasn't satisfied with their ankle support. They will protect your ankle from abrasion and light impact but not twisting or bending. If ankle support isn't a priority I would recommend the Apex boots, they are comfortable. They don't breathe very well off the bike so if you have sweaty feet that might be an issue.

If you do want more ankle support, full size boots are just as comfortable and you can conceal them under jeans with relative ease. I wear my sidi st boots under jeans all the time without issue.
my U.S shoe size is closer to 10.5, a size 10 is on the tight side. with that being said would a size 44 or 45 be better?
A shopper on Mar 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They are great shoes. They're very stiff so there isn't any give. If you think you are between sizes, I would recommend a half size larger and then dropping in a cushioned insole.
Are these slip resistant?
A shopper on Dec 19, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Depends on what your walking in, I walked through water and no problem. But I work on helicopters and I was walking through our hanger to the exit and slid on a very small spot of oil, that being said thats not really were your going to wear them
Anyone with experience wearing these on long all-day rides? Comfort? Ventilation?
Timothy T on Aug 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use to ride all-day long and these boots are very comfort ! I recommend !
Regards
Hi Everyone... Question will these boots add alil height to the rider I am rather short and just need alil bit of extra height but cant really afford the Dayton boots? Or if you know of any boots that will give alil height thats not going to break my pockets?
Datleen V on Jan 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Don't worry about the height of the boot. Just choose whatever you like. Add insoles to increase height.
I bought the Alpinestars SMX 6 vented boot and found that I am a 9..5 in the shoe. Should I get the same size in SIDI or should I get a 45 like the recommendation? I normally wear a 10.5 tennis shoe.
Andrew H on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I wear 11.5 to 12 depending on manufacturer. I got a 46 in this shoe and the fit is good.
