Reviews & Questions
In general the 009 tire has a very flat profile giving it a great contact patch down the middle (good for highway longevity). I put this shinko on some of my supermotos to make the rear loose, hard compound with little contact at lean. The 009 is great for commuting on cheep rubber. If you want a good sport tire go with the Dunlop Q3, you wont be disappointed ( has aggressive side profile yielding a large contact patch during high lean angles, and its cheep for the performance it gives. Hope this helps.
To be completely honest, I did have a problem with the bead, it wouldn't seal correctly after having it installed on my rim by the Kawasaki shop. I had to take it back twice for a slow persistent leak and eventually ended up replacing the tire with a Michelin brand. Sorry, but I really can't recommend the tire. Now it may have been the original install, the mechanic may have left some old tire rubber debris on the rim that ultimately caused the new Shinko tire bead to not seal well, but I can't be sure.
