Awesome.
I had one of these on my 01 Buell and never had any traction problems even with all the torque. Snapped two belts never slipped the tire once. Great price.

Excellent all round tire
This is my second purchase of this tire for the same bike and I will buy it over and over again! This tire is way above the mark for the money. It offers extremely good front end feel and feedback that is easily decipherable. It holds the line you pick, like it is on a rail. There is no wandering with this tire, it is completely solid. It also allows on the spot line corrections with no drama whatsoever. Deflection is also a non issue with this tire, riding curvy mountain back roads for my daily commute, I routinely encounter gravel, sticks, leaves and the occasional, unfortunate critter that is now a lot thinner. Of all the times these encounters were unavoidable full contact, the tire came through with flying colors leaving absolutely no reason for any pucker factor. Wet traction is as good as any other front tire I have spooned on. I of course decrease speed and lean angle when riding in the rain so it is not like I push it just to see if I can find the limit. As for wear, it is not a high mileage bun for sure but it seems to last as long if not a bit longer than your higher priced boutique stickies. The only negative thing I can say about the Podium is that they evidently no longer offer it in my rear size. The rear tire is just as excellent as the front. You just can't go wrong with the Podium, whether you are a new rider or a moderately aggressive rider. You will love this tire and I (would if I could) guarantee it!!!! P.S. Revzilla Customer service is totally AWESOME!!!!!!!

Great tire for the price
I purchased this tire solely based on price, I had read other reviews saying it didn't have great traction so was hesitant, after getting the tire installed of have to say in my circumstances it is a great performing tire! Although a little slow to heat up. No slipping, great wet traction and tread life is decent. If you're unsure about this tire, don't be . It's well worth it!

Im always cautious when buying something at a great price and dont come in with high expectations. Sometimes it goes well and you get yourself a killer deal and sometimes you dont. Come get yourself a sweet deal on some grippy tires.

Read quite a view good reviews, and for the price on a daily commuter bike I wanted to try these tires out. So far so good with about 1k miles on them, tire wear looks pretty well.

Great cheep tires, great traction wet or dry and the front lasts about 10,000 miles.

Which tire the shinko 006 podiums or the shinko 009 ravens provide great milage as well as great sticky grip in the corners?
A C on Aug 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello AC. Here is what I can tell you. I have run the Podium on the front for 3 seasons and honestly can't remember if I have spooned on two or three of them. I really like the Podium as it is surefooted right out of the parking area even in cold weather. This is for normal riding, within the limits of the law. The Podium performs well in dry or wet and even does okay on dirt. The only down side is they do tend to wear fairly quickly but my commute is curvy too. As for the Raven, I have not tried one on the front yet. I have one on the rear. Having also ran the Podium on the rear before hand, I can say that the handling characteristics are very similar and the Raven seems to be a bit more surefooted on dirt. No, I do not ride off road regular but my long driveway is dirt. So far so good on the Raven in the wear department. I have close to 3000 miles on it and it still has a long way to go before I will need another. All that said to say this. I think the Raven delivers more bang for the buck being comparable in every way except for the fact that it seems to have a longer life span. I can only presume that the Raven front would perform at least as well as the rear if not better. All of this depends on your riding style and of course what type of roads you normally travel. I hope this is helpful. Stay safe. PS. I will ordering a Raven front before the season is out.
