They saved my hands
When I first got these gloves I loved them. When I went down at 70+mph on to the pavement then into a guardrail and walked away without a scratch on me I loved them even more. Awesome protection from Scorpion, I'm never buying another set without scappoid protection.

Doesn't Fit Over A Race Jacket
After coming from other scorpion gloves and loving the protection they provide for the price point - these were hugely disappointing for 1 reason:

THEY DON'T FIT OVER A RACE JACKET (i have a A* Jaws Perf Leather jacket).

I"m not talking snug - i couldn't even get the closure to velcro at all. A complete miss for a "race" orientated glove.

Unfortunately had to return.

Widen the cuff scorpion!

Great glove for the money, but ...
First off, I love Scorpion gloves. In size LG, they fir me, well -- like a glove. Perfect fit and comfort. The new SG3 Mk II's skimp a bit on protection compared to more expensive gloves like Scorpion's own Clutch or Racer's High Speed, but for the money, they are a great glove. The only rub comes when you try to wear them with a race suit -- the wrist closure is, unlike the Scorpion Guardian and many other race gloves,, a two-strap affair, and on this glove, the velcro straps are way too short. I don't have overly large hands or wrists, but I can just barely engage the top velcro closure, and often it pulls apart with very little wrist motion. This sort of defeats the purpose of a race glove. Really, Scorpion. This should have been better tested. The closures need to be at least an inch longer to provide sufficient overlap. If you have skinny wrists, these gloves might work. Otherwise, look for a single-closure glove,

Best glove with the most features and protection at this price point, period.
I bought these sight unseen after trying a friend's version 1 Scorpion SG3 gloves. The updated features make sense for an already well designed and protective glove that also looks the part. I usually take a Large in other glove brands (Cortech) and the Large in the SG3 II fit me perfectly with almost no break in. Everybody is built differently, so your mileage may vary.

Pros: Split knuckle protection on SG3 II flexes better than the already good SG3 and gives good feedback when gripping the bars. Crash protection is in all the right places and does not hinder dexterity or input from the front end of the bike. Fit is spot on. Scorpion nailed it with the perfect amount of pre-curve and a stylish look.

Cons: One is a nitpick and one is a major functional design flaw with this glove.

1) Nitpick: A couple of the soft foam inserts were sewn in poorly with rolled over seams giving a half-assed look to the finish of an otherwise amazing glove. This does NOT affect function whatsoever, but if you're even slightly OCD or simply have eyes that can see, this may bother you from a finish quality standpoint of a $140 glove.

2) Functionality: The design of the main velcro flap with the rubberized logo on the double wrist closure needs a revison. It is too short to securely overlap the secondary flap even if your jacket cuff is very slim tapered like a race suit. Big wrists and/or thicker jacket cuffs will very likely have you out of luck OR securing these gloves incorrectly. The previous SG3 had a main flap that was actually too long and over-wrapped, but you could always have a seamstress add velcro to the outside of the wrist on that model to close it securely. You can't add what you don't have on this iteration of the SG3 II. This could only be fixed by adding more length to the leather of the main closure flap. It takes some unnecessary adjusting to get used to and is not a deal breaker on a glove that is awesome across the board everywhere else. Scorpion just needs to revise this closure design.

Overall, I gave it 4 stars. If Scorpion fixed the main flap to be longer for a more secure closure and adjustability I would easily give this 5 stars and buy a backup pair to boot!

Good except for velcro issue.
The main gauntlet overlaping velcro closure is shorter than desirable for good overlap with leathers on, other than that like the gloves. Hope they hold up, to new to tell.

Finger stitching is weak in a crash
If these gloves used kevlar thread in the finger stitching they would be amazing. I went down at 50-60 mph (highside) and the palm sliders, pinky leather and knuckle protection took a serious slide and held up great. Few very small holes in the leather next to the palm sliders because the slider goes under a bit after the stitching. The finger stitching on index, middle and ring finger is crap. Palm side of those fingers barely touched the pavement and the thread just vaporized, somehow my skin didnt get touched but both index fingers of the glove opened up down to the second joint of my fingers.
These gloves have roomy fingers which would realy remove the problem of the kevlar stitching ripping through the leather over time, whatever they used instead is just unsafe. If your not going to use kevlar thread then stitch the seams on the inside so they dont fall apart if they brush the pavement...

Fantastic
I recently went down at about 30ish mph and the slide features on the lower palms saved my hands. I sent a review before, but this is a testament to their function/durability. Thanks.

awesome gloves, best available at this price
just got these today, fit great right out of the box, will be perfect once broken in. regarding the cuff size mentioned in other reviews - yes, it is on the short side and could definitely benefit from being about an inch longer (pay attention scorpion). that having been said, do not let this deter you from purchasing. i have always worn full gauntlets, and have always worn them outside my jacket (never thought to try them inside). i have above average sized wrists and it does require some extra adjusting to get the gauntlet closed over my jacket. i decided to try wearing the jacket over the gauntlet and found that i actually prefer this. so, if you're considering this glove, don't let the gauntlet issue keep you from pulling the trigger, you might find that you like your jacket over your gloves as opposed to under, as I did.

Why did you choose this?
RevZilla Store
I chose them because I had the original version and liked them. This version has a cuff that is too short in circumference to go over my leathers which is why I am buying a new set of AGV Echelon gloves. I have to tuck these gloves into most of my jackets because the velcro cuff won't close in most cases over the jacket like they are supposed to. Very comfortable with no break in needed.

Good value (?closeout), slider armor at heel of hand, reviews. Had good luck with Scorpion Helmets.

I wanted a gauntlet for better protection. And I like having the hard palm sliders for better protection of the bones in the hand.

Have other Scorpion gloves I have used at the track and they are a good fitting pair of gloves and are reasonably priced. Also bought new leathers and needed new gloves that matched.

How will they do in hot weather riding?
Brandon N on Apr 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The gauntlet cuff on this glove is useless. It doesn't close over anything thicker than your wrist. Flaps are too short and cuff not wide enough. Mine started falling apart in 3-4 short rides. Poor stitching and flap seams started to open on cuffs. Regretting this purchase and returned them for something better.
