Decent sound and melts your reflectors
So I'm big on bike sound, like a lot of people. Lame is the stock Versys exhaust. Heaven is a Remus Hypercone on a Street Triple.

You can't ditch the cat, so let me get that out of the way. Sound quality is good with this can, over stock. It's got more sonic punch after3/4k rpms. At idle, there is really no difference. Like I said -- catalytic converter. Don't expect miracles.

However, the sound is better than stock. Protip: wrap your baffle in heat-resistant metal tape for a better seal and to kill blow-by raspy whispers. It gives the bike stacatto and the triple growl shines above 4k.

Baffle out is not much different at idle. Out the sound is no stacatto but clean turbine until 4k. After 4k it's absolutely howling and probably too loud for anything but local joyrides and twisties. Not bad though.

The biggest issue though I have to file under fit and finish. It will melt your right side rear reflector, baffle in or baffle out. Like nuclear destruction. Even tossing in a quarter inch spacer into the top-bolt it was a no go. I removed the rear side reflector bracket which is sad from a safety standpoint. This pisses me off, $500 for a can that damages your bike?

Besides the reflector, it looks like nothing else is affected (and the reflector is a small, cheap part). I've also heard of many other cans melting the reflector, so YMMV.

The can looks very good. It was a breeze to install. Like many others I found the OEM rubber stop to be too short, but it doesn't seem to affect operation. The left side of the centerstand has a rubber stopper that comes to rest on the swingarm. I haven't had any issues with this yet though I may address the short-stopper at some point.

I have to come to grips with the fact that the tiger (which is an awesome bike) does not have the sonic abilities of other bikes I have owned.

Unless you _need_ to put an aftermarket can on your bikes like me, I'd pass on slip-ons for the tiger. $500 is a long way towards a top case, windshield, pegs, etc.

For now my wallet is lighter and I dream one day that someone will put out de-cat headers for a fair price, so I can really let the triple sing.
