Great Graphics & Excellent Features
Scorpion EXO T1200 Helmet; ‘Freeway’ gloss/matte, medium. This is a sexy graphic. No, I ain’t in love with it, but I do love it! Form, fit, and function is awesome. The vents, shields (both primary & inner) work very well even with gloved hands. Takes a bit of getting used to as I inadvertently locked the shield down a couple of times while attempting to lower the tinted shield for afternoon glare reduction. Not a big deal, but it caused a moment of distraction when rolling to a stop at a light thinking that I was about to raise the shield and nearly pushed myself off the bike… ok, I agree, that would have been a big deal. The air pump is easy to adjust. It does exactly what is claimed; assuming that you picked the proper fit, if you jack the pressure up on this system, it will squeeze about as much on your gourd as you’re likely going to want. Regarding the numerous complaints about noise, I’m not sure that it’s any louder than any of the other dozen helmets I’ve owned for road duty. Keep in mind, I’m riding a ZX6R so my wind protection is minimal compared to many touring riders. I opt to wear ear plugs anyway, although I did blast around just during a leisure stroll without plugs to see what the hype was about. Personally, I think the T1200 was given a bad rap. I’m not saying the critics were wrong, only that in my experience I don’t agree. I’m curious what brand and model of helmet these folks are accustomed to. Obviously, I’ve not yet owned one of these supposedly sound proof buckets… I do offer a strong recommendation of the T1200 helmet.
Safety bonus: I purchased black retro-reflective ¼” tape and carefully lined it for low visibility riding conditions (see pics). In the daytime, the tape is nearly undetectable, but when struck with light (as seen from cell phone flash, it pops). Source: “FindTape.com” 3M Scotch Scotchlite Reflective Striping Tape (Black) ¼” X 50 ft at $18.47. Note, this product is double sided. Once cut to length and applied, it can be difficult to lift the protective sheath. I used my fingernail to pick at it. At first, I thought I was ruining it and was about to just lose patience and tear the strip completely off again. That’s when I discovered, this is some hardy stuff and stayed put very well even when trimmed to sharp angles. The sheath finally gave way and peeled back exposing a very clean, precise line that blended perfectly with the Freeway graphic. Safe Riding!

Scorpion EXO T1200 Freeway
The EXO T1200 is a great helmet. Bought the matte black with the gold mirror visor. Compared to the EXO 1000, this helmet has major air flow and the noise is a bit to much. The fit is nice and snug for me. This helmet did save my life. On May 13, I was in an accident with a vehicle. Traveling between 40-50 mph a car pulled out in front of me. Bike was totaled and the helmet was all scratched up. Paramedics were impressed with the inflating cheek pads. In the ER I was know as the guy that had the helmet with air bags. What a great buy and will consider purchasing again

Great helmet!
I purchased my last Scorpion helmet in 2007 and it has served me well. Since I had such good luck with that one, I decided that my only consideration for a new helmet was another Scorpion helmet, and I'm not disappointed! The inner flip-down sun visor is worth it's weight in gold and allows you to ride with the outer visor up as a sun shield and still have eye protection yet get more air on hot days. The two-tone black helmet almost looks Stealth and is very nice. Would buy again!

Excellent upgrade
I bought this helmet to replace my HJC IS-17, which is a solid helmet for the money, but it can't compete with the Scorpion EXO 1200 for comfort, style, and functionality. This helmet flows MUCH more air than the HJC, so on hot days it is comfortable—very comfortable, and the wicking fabric in the Scorpion is phenomenal.

It is also aerodynamically superior, so no more buffeting around at higher speeds. The sun shield is manual instead of spring loaded, and I find that to be superior to the HJC's system that never fully retracted without a little push. With the Scorpion, you flip a lever up or down, and it never fails.

The helmet is loud, so be prepared to wear earplugs if you are traveling any distance that takes more than a few minutes at higher speeds. I wear earplugs anyway, so this doesn't really bother me, and besides, this inconvenience is more than offset by the fact that this helmet looks very sexy. I mean it's bad-a** even if you aren't.

My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a pinlock ready shield. The HJC did, and it worked beautifully at fighting the fogging.

BTW—the high-vis yellow as depicted in the picture is not representative of the true color—the typical Scorpion grellow, which I prefer over the mellow yellow in the pic.

Bought this helmet for my wife
Purchased this for my wife to replace her Scorpion Exo 1000 which is about 5 years old and worn 2-4 times/week. She loves it! Same general features as the older helmet updated. She is a HUGE fan of the inner sun visor and often rides using only it. The new helmet is noticeably lighter. Hers is the Highway white/black...very nice and visible graphics without going the high viz route.
Paired it with a women's Tour Master Intake Air 3 Jacket in white/black for a very attractive combination.

Excellent airflow and features!
This helmet has served me extremely well, and the "Freeway" graphic looks amazing. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a lightweight helmet with good airflow and features.

I purchased this helmet because I wanted good airflow, protection, and premium features for the price. The video reviews on revzilla were extremely helpful in making my decision. In a nutshell, the helmet delivered on everything I was looking for. Additionally, the fact that it is light weight has proven to be an added bonus that I really appreciate. The airflow is great! I feel it working as I ride and it really helps keep me cool. I run really hot, no matter what the weather, so this is a great feature for me. The spoiler on the helmet really adds to the look as well as its airflow.

The comfort liner is impressively comfortable (as its name entails) and soft to the touch. A chin removable curtain is included as well as a cleaning kit and some chemicals for the face shield. The anti-fog coating does do what it is supposed to, but can cause some halos to show up on lights. I have not had a problem with this however. Pinlock shield are becoming available for this helmet, and after using one on a different helmet, I really want to do the same for this one. I only dropped it down by one level on the features column, just because I wish it shipped with a pinlock shield.

This helmet is great for both really hot and really cold days, and I am very happy with it. I would recommend this helmet to anyone looking for a great full face helmet.

Worth the Money
Helmet is worth the money and has more features than any of the other previous helmets I have owned. I wear medium helmets and this helmet is snug, but I prefer it that way. I have not experienced any issues with loud or excessive noise volume as claimed by other reviewers. You have to consider the price point. I purchased this helmet with the intent of using it for a couple years until the high tech helmets w/ HUDs are tested and released.

A Very Solid Purchase
I chose the Freeway as an upgrade to the Scorpion EXO 410 Airline. The helmet is much lighter and the material quality is very good. This is not the highest end helmet but is a good bang for your buck type helmet. The Reebok "Pump" style cheeks pads are a nice touch and the helmet looks bad-[expletive]. The clear visor with the inner "fighter pilot" lens is perfect for day rides that last into the night. With my old helmet I would use a dark visor for the daytime and get "stuck" riding into the evening with visibility becoming an issue with the tinted visor at night. Problem solved with the Freeway. The sound is not the best but a marked improvement over my entry level helmet. Overall it was a good purchase for the price.

Best helmet at this price point
Okay like a few people have stated this helmet is a bit loud. Not crazy annoying.... but it is louder than my old shoei... That being said it has great features. Inflatable cheek pads work great! The included chin curtain is a plus to cut down on wind noise. I like the tight neckroll.... It makes the helmet feel nice and snug without feeling uncomfortable. The venting is awesome. I get hot easily and the helmet keeps me cool even in high 80s low 90s summer weather.
