Initial impression is good. EXO-900 vs EXO-GT920
I just received the helmet. It definitely fits tight in the cheek pads like other reviewers have stated. Not sure what to do about that right now. I will wear it for a while to see if it needs modification. Otherwise, it fits just like the older Scorpion EXO-900. I usually wear an XL but in Scorpion I take an XXL.

It is definitely lighter than the 900, and I will install the intercom and road test it shortly. At that time I will come back and update my review. Initial impression is 5 stars.

Great Modular Helmet at a Better price point
I have owned 15-20 helmets in over 30 years of riding. This helmet is a great bargain for all the features it offers. It is true to size and comfort level without any added pressure points. I like the cut outs for speakers because I have a SENA 10S installed with no problems. The only drawback that I could find with this helmet is that the upper air vent doesn't create some wind noise when it's open. It's a small price to pay for a Modular helmet with integrated sunshield and cutouts for speakers. Leave the $600 helmets and jus to buy one of these! You will have more money for brewski's and hotel rooms for those long rides!! Scorpion makes a quality product!

Excellent mid-price helmet
Summary:
I would absolutely recommend the Scorpion GT-920 helmet to anyone looking for a good, budget friendly helmet. In this mid to low range price point (depending on your personal budget) I feel the GT-920 is an excellent helmet! Visibility is nice and wide, ventilation is good, the chin bar lock is secure and operates freely with a gloved hand as does the drop down visor, and the noise level is lower than any of my previous helmets. The fit feels a bit small to the chart, and in the intermediate oval category.

Details: The Scorpion GT-920 replaces my old Nolan N102. When I purchased the Nolan several years ago, it was close in price to this helmet, around $250. Prior to that, all my helmets were cheap motorcycle store offroad helmets. My comparison will be to the Nolan, as the others were basic protection only.

Scorpion GT-920 Pros:
• The eye port is nice and wide. Coming from the Nolan, it was immediately noticeable how much more field of vision I had. I can see the mirrors without turning my head at all, and at stop signs I can check with much less head turn. Also makes the over shoulder glances in traffic easier.
• Scorpion’s fog protection does well here on steamy Alabama mornings when the humidity is high. I run then shower many times before work, and my damp hair used to cause bad fog problems. This face shield treatment handles that situation without any fog. Only time will tell the longevity of the treatment.
• Scorpion’s eliptech main visor system locks securely, seals tight against rain, and I bet helps with the low wind noise also.
• As far as overall noise is concerned, the GT-920 is significantly more quiet than the Nolan. I credit the tight visor seal and close chin bar tolerances for this. Yes, I always wear earplugs, but I can tell a big improvement in wind noise.
• The internal visor is very nice! My Nolan sun shade was external, so that meant it had to be up if the main visor or chin bar were up. With the GT-920, I can ride with the main visor up in slow town traffic, have good ventilation AND my sun shade down. Even at the gas pump, the chin bar comes up and the shade stays down. Really nice upgrade to my commuting riding style.
• Ventilation is good. The top vent moves more air than the chin vent, but both move enough air for Alabama summers at speed. I can easily tell when the vents are open by feeling air inside the helmet and I can actuate them easily with a gloved hand.
• The GT-920 chin bar locks up tight and operates easily. Compared to the Nolan, it really is like Anthony says; It feels and is shaped more like a sport helmet with modular features, whereas the Nolan was a bulky modular that was shaped "sporty".

Cons:
• In the mornings, the drop down internal shade has fogged slightly at the bottom, but not up into the primary field of view. My wet hair situation mentioned above is a real acid test for fogging, so considering that, it's not bad.
• I too admit the cheek pads are tight. I'm 6'4" and weight 165#, so I'm a skinny guy, and on me the cheek pads are snug. It's not bad now, but I have a full beard in the winter, and I could see it starting to feel tight. Maybe by then the pad will be compressed a little. A fuller face person will think they are tight.

Notes:
• As to overall fit. I don't know if this is a pro or con. So I guess it's just a note. My head measures 23.5 inches, which is right at the top of the LG size. I'm always right at the LG/XL transition. I first ordered a LG and it was too snug. Hot spots and a headache in about 10 minutes just sitting on the couch. Returned to Revzilla (excellent and easy return BTW) and got an XL. The XL fits just right on my 23.5 inch noggin.
• The Scorpion has D-rings which take a few more seconds to open and close compared to the Nolan ratchet, but that’s a personal preference thing, and again neither a pro nor a con.
I certainly recommend the Scorpion GT-920 helmet for commuters, sport tourers, and even light adventure tourers. Heavy offroaders or those dedicated to the “Adventure” look may opt for the AT-950, but I ride a DRZ400s and a Ninja 250 and the GT-920 suites me on both bikes riding on any surface.

Great Helmet
I purchased this helmet online after doing a lot of research and reading many reviews. I have an intermediate oval to long oval head. Finding a helmet that fits properly has been a nightmare but I've finally found the one that fits properly with no "hot spots". The helmet has a solid feel without being heavy. The padding inside is plush making the helmet tight when you first put it on but quickly conforms to the shape of your head. The cheek pads are quite tight on me and I have a pretty narrow face. I took them out and put them between my matress and box spring for 24 hours...it did compact the plush lining a bit making the cheek pads more comfortable (they were very easy to snap out and snap in). I haven't taken it out for a ride yet but with all the reviews I've read, I'm expecting it to perform well.

Awesome Helmet
First of all, this is my first helmet, so it's difficult to compare to anything else. None the less, the helmet fits great, it may seam a little tight on the cheeks, but not enough to be a discomfort on a 1 hour ride. I can't say much about the wind noise because I wear my sound isolating ear buds and listen to music as I ride. My only concern before I bought it was if my big ol Oakley Currency's were going to fit under the internal dark visor, and I was very fortunate that it did (see pic), it's a very nice feature for someone who doesn't have prescription sunglasses. As for the chin curtain, my face has one already built in, lol. So anti-fog, when it's cold outside and I am at a stand still, it does fog up, so you can either flip it up (either part) or try to blow down from your mouth. Also, maybe I wasn't supposed to remove the rear "DOT" sticker, because I didn't notice till I was half way removing it that I was lightly scratching the helmet with my nail.

Overall, I am very please with the helmet, I'll for sure buy one for the wife when i save up some more funds.

Shipping was super fast, it came out of Las Vegas to Central California in 2 days, fantastic.

I don't know why the pictures load sideways.

Yes, cheek pads.....
Like the other reviews, the cheek pads are horrible. Knowing this I ordered a size up from my usual, xl and its almost unbearable. A large would have been a definite no go. Try this on if you can before buying. It looks great and seems to be great quality but all that means nothing when you can wear it.

Ignore the part of the video where it says it fits most people. The hlmet is really narrow with the cheek pads. Take the pads out and it great.

With it being so new scorpion doesnt have extra pads yet but even when they come out im sure they will be $40.

Im debating on returning it or hoping it breaks in.

Great buy!
I've had a few scorpion helmets this is the best so far. Fit is true to my xl size. The best thing so far is the lack of buffeting from wind speed. Fit finish are as expected in scorpion helmet. The noise level is a little high but I'm not complaining. Great helmet for the money.

Great helmet at reasonable $
Only a few rides so far but I really like this helmet. Having had a scorpion helmet (bought 5yrs ago) I knew they fit snugly in the cheekpads so went with the large size vs medium. So fit is excellent, great style, drop-shade works well for the Florida sun, relatively light weight. The very slight distortion from the faceshield bothered me a bit the first couple times out, but since them have noticed it, in fact I'd forgotten about it until I started this review. In you need a full face helmet this a great one for the money. (Was considering a Caberg Duke, but the airflow features of the gt-920 made the decision for this an easy one)

Does use same face shield as 900x ?
Darrell N on Jan 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I do not own this helmet, I currently own the 900X. But it is obvious from the looks of it that it does not. The 900X's visor is C-shaped at the ends and those shapes slid into the plastic shell and lock. This is definitely not the same visor.
Two questions. First, my head measures 23 3/4. I think that makes me an XL for this helmet. However, I see lots of people saying get a size higher. Should I get a 2XL? Also, I have to wear prescription glasses and it says the cheek pads will allow for that. Do I need anything else to wear my glasses in this helmet? Thanks!
A C on Jun 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Excellent question. My head measures 23 1/2 and my helmet size is 2XL. The fit is similar to how a football helmet felt way back in high school. I would consider getting 3XL but its recommended to have a snug fit. Well, my helmet is defiantly a snug fit. Love this helmet and the design makes a cool breeze flow through the helmet when the vents are opened. Great Choice.
Will my sena 20s clamp on this helmet as opposed to using stick on method?

i've found that the chin guard (material under the chin on the face plate) controls a lot of incoming noise... it looked very loose and flappy... is it a decent chin guard or is it loose and flappy?
A C on Jun 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The chin curtain is solid. Locks in place and stays in place. Not floppy at all.
Will the flip down sun visor with with prescription glasses on? (average sized glasses)
A shopper on Jun 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it works great. That is why I bought this helmet. Flip up front, easy on and off of glasses when putting helmet on, and ithe nternal sun visor eliminates need for switching glasses mid ride. Works great, highly recommend!
Does the helmet change size after wearing ?, I got large but it wear small
Mohamed H on May 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I found the helmet felt very snug and almost sent it back but decided that some of it was the extra cheek pressure and some was just the padding needing to break in. I really like the fit now (3xl)
These helmets are Super small. I usually wear a large, but on this helmet I would have to wear a DOUBLE-XL. Wouldn't this be too heavy?
Antonio S on May 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I do wear a small and I didn't find it to be heavy at all. I tried on other modular helmets prior to buying this one. Others were heavy and uncomfortable. I like this one alot and don't find it to be heavy on my head or neck.
How much does it weight ?
A shopper on Jun 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 3 lbs. 10 oz. This helmet feels very light - especially for a modular helmet. It's comfortable, and you don't get tired wearing it. Great helmet!
Several reviewers have said that the cheek pads are a little tight, which I suppose suggests it is a little longer oval. Which cheek pads does this use if you wanted to try a different set?
Richard C on Mar 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't know what options you have but my cheek pads were very tight, after using the helmet for a week they are better. I did try stretching the helmet by pulling on both sides. Anyway the helmet feels comfortable now, Rich G.
