Seemed to have great reviews at a great price point. I had an open face from Scorpion about 7 years ago for Autocross and loved it, so it was pretty easy to see how far they've come. Finish on this should look perfect with my Slingshot.

Reviews seemed comparable to my current Shoei Neotec for almost half the cost. I've had good luck with Scorpions in the past so figured I would give hte GT3000 a shot and see how I liked it since my current NEOTEC is due for replacement.

I own a Scorpion EXO-900 Helemt and love it. This is the next step up (excluding the EXO-900X).

Ive had this over a year upgraded to an open face helmet yet still have this on a pediatal in my trophy room.

I'm a new rider and found the breakdown video very informative.

Wanted a modular helmet, and after looking at a lot of reviews this seemed to be the best choice between cost and features.
Johnny M on Jun 27, 2016
Comparable to the Shoei I was looking at, cost much less.
Jaren H on Jun 3, 2016
Assumed it would be quiet, however it is not but still a decent helmet.

I am replacing a Scorpion EXO 1000 purchased in mid-2009. I have three HJCs and one Fulmar. The EXO 1000 is my Fav or the four helmets.

The reviews made it sound like a great helmet, but it's not!!! It's loud (amplifies sound inside), it whistles very loudly in anything but a perfectly straight ahead position. And, it runs small...
Hector I on Jul 1, 2015
I chose this helmet for its features and quality based on past experience with Scorpion Helmets, and reviews on Revzilla website.
Mark S on Jun 6, 2015
Price, quality, and style. I have 500 miles with this helmet so far, and I absolutely love it. It's comfortable, quiet, well-ventilated, and very lightweight. I am EXTREMELY happy with this purchase.
A S on Jun 6, 2015
I like the fact that this helmet was designed to be light and used for upright riding. Like the laminated shell for strength and what really sold me personally is the Air-fit System. I'm hoping for a quiet modular as well, included chin curtain should help. I'll probably use the included helmet bag for a pannier liner! Can I have an extra bag for the other side!?
joe a on May 27, 2015
Because it was advertised as a Quiet helmet....its not

Does it come with a breath guard, and how difficult is it to connect a HD comm unit?
A shopper on Feb 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: yes it has a breath guard. I installed my autocom harness without a hitch. Depends on the system you are going to use, there are cutouts on both sides in the rear area to allow to store comms related parts such as cabling or battery.
Does it come with a chin curtain?
JeanPablo R on Feb 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: yes
Does this come with a breath guard and how difficult is it to install a HD comm unit?
Michael S on Feb 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It does not have a breath guard. Come unit is very easy to install. I have a Sena on mine.
Does the drop-down visor controls on the side of the helmet interfere with a clamp-on Bluetooth device like a Sena SMH10 ?
Robert H on Feb 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: He does mention that, but he is also pointing to the right side of the helmet. My SMH10 mounts on the left side. And it looks like the visor slider mechanism on the left side would interfere with the SMH10, at least it would mine. Looks like a deal killer to me. Why do these helmet manufacturers keep putting the visor control right where your communicator goes?
Would LOVE to know if this comes with a chin curtain?
Brandon B on Mar 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it does. Got mine last week. Quality helmet!
I have an Arai Signet shaped head and have found it hard to locate a modular helmet that fits me. Of all the modular helmets I have tried, the prior Scorpion model EXO-900 fit comfortably albeit a bit on the heavy side. I recently tried the EXO-900X, but found it to be a little too snug from front to back and had to send it back. Can you tell me how the GT3000's shape might match up to the original EXO-900? Based on your video, it sounds like it might be too round for me.
Deric S on Apr 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I just got the GT-3000 and have worn it several times already. I also have the original EXO-900, which is now my spare.

The fit on the GT-3000 is very close to the EXO-900...I can't really tell a difference. I love my GT-3000. It is much lighter than the EXO-900 and the ventilation is amazing. The air circulating in this helmet far surpasses my 900, which really wasn't too bad on it's own. The fact that I can now adjust where I want the sunscreen visor to be is a bonus.

If you love your EXO-900, you will not be disappointed by the fit, feel and performance of the GT-300. I hope this helps.
Why some people say its very loud and some that is normal or quiet?
A shopper on Jun 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Remember, helmet noise is relative. If you're coming from a very noisy helmet, and that's all you know, then this helmet will be relatively more quiet. I've been riding for a long time and have owned many helmets. This is NOT a quiet helmet, especially compared to a quality full face. And it does whistle. It's more pronounced when you turn your head slightly to the left, and I believe it's due to the central air intake. I ride bikes without fairings, so my assessment is purely from how this helmet handles unbridled wind. If you want a quiet helmet, then you're going to have to step up to a Shoei or equivalent. Also, remember, modulars are going to be louder than full face, just due to the construction. This feature-rich helmet is about 60% of the cost of a Shoei, but you are getting 60% of the quality. Bottom Line: I would not buy this helmet again.
Is the drop down sun shield adjustable or is it just down or up? My HJC shield hits my nose when all the way down but I can adjust it.
Richard J on Jan 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The shield has a smooth sliding mechanism, but with a fair amount of friction so you can lower it to pretty much any position. I normally keep it all the way down so I couldn't tell you if it will move with vibrations. It doesn't have locking positions but I find it provides better coverage than the shield in my HJC IS-Max II.
I am just getting back into riding after about 20 years and have my riding course this upcoming weekend to get my license. I know it's personal preference but I am torn between a modular helmet and a 3/4. The store I was at was sold out of the Scorpion modular so I was unable to try. The Scorpion EXO CT 220 was pretty comfortable. Knowing that my riding will be mostly on weekends around town and the occasional 1-2 hour ride I'm curious what people think?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Whether to use a modular full face helmet or a 3/4 helmet is a matter of personal choice involving assessment of risk/benefit. For me this assessment resulted in my selecting to use a modular full face helmet. I based this decision in part that I tend to be risk adverse and statistic presented at Motorcycle Safety Course reflected that in accidents involving head/face, over 18% of the time area impacted was head/face that was not protected by a 3/4 helmet. If you are unsure, postpone decision until completion of the safety class and for purposes of the class use a helmet that they provide. Ultimately, there is no right/wrong decision; it is a matter of personal preference, but is a decision that should be made with full understanding of risk/benefits associated with decision.
I 'm a new rider I have a 2015 Kawasaki Ninja 650 I have a scorpion helmet now looking to invest a Modular I'm concern about the noise would this be a good helmet for my type of bike?
Thank you
A shopper on Mar 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Anthony said the helmet is designed for an upright or 3/4 position (due to the vent locations), not a tuck. With a Ninja, I believe you'll ride in 3/4 or a tuck. Enjoy your Ninja!
