Schuberth C3 Pro Observer Helmet

The Rolls Royce of motorcycle helmets, the Schuberth C3 Pro has been designed to improve on the original C3, which was already one of the quietest and most technologically advanced helmets to date. The rear spoiler, which has been optimized during extensive wind tunnel testing, turns the C3 Pro into a real sport helmet, demonstrating outstanding aerodynamic properties at high speeds in excess of 100 mph. Thanks to the extremely snug fit and enhanced aeroacoustics of 82 dB(A) at 100 km/h the C3 Pro is one of the quietest helmets in the world.

The C3 Pro is also prepared to accept the integrated Schuberth SRC System, the C3 Pro also incorporates two integrated antennas for increased Bluetooth range and better FM radio reception. The inner lining is made of carefully selected materials such as COOLMAX, Interpower and Thermocool and has been extensively re-shaped and redesigned setting high benchmarks with respect to comfort.

Features:

  • The shell is aerodynamically tuned, providing more downforce and reducing buffeting
  • Interior helmet sound levels have been reduced to 82 dB(A) at 60 mph {C3 84 dB(A)}
  • Interior liner has been designed with fewer seams and a more universal interior fit
  • Improved EPS with integrated antennas for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range
  • Micro-lock ratchet chin strap
  • Large reflective panels on neckroll
  • Improved faceshield ratchet mechanism
  • Integrated sun visor

Acoustics:

A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist. This permits the rider to concentrate on riding – particularly at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustics wind tunnel have ensured that the C3 Pro is as quiet as Schuberth could make it. The comprehensive acoustics package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomic shape of the neck padding make the C3 Pro – at 82 dBA – one of the quietest helmets on the market.

  • Acoustics package makes helmet quiet
  • Installation of a wind deflector further improves aeroacoustics
  • Only 82dB(A) at 100 km per hour (with naked bikes)

Outer Shell:

The outer shell of the Schuberth C3 Pro is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight.

  • Shell material: S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber
  • Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight
  • Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy
  • Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds
  • Upward lift = 0!
  • Directionally stable
  • No oscillatory tendency
  • No buffeting
  • Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell

SRC-System Ready:

The C3 Pro equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System C3 Pro (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception, the C3 Pro is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost FM and Bluetooth reception.

  • Optimum reception at all times
  • FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception

EPS:

The EPS foam liner is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution.

  • Made of specially optimized EPS foam
  • Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption

Inner Lining:

A special inner lining of the C3 Pro which was developed according to Schuberth's  innovative Comfort Fit concept that ensures the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials, with the additional use of Interpower coatings, also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system.

  • COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30°C)
  • Optimized fit
  • Variable venting for effective ventilation
  • Adjustable for summer/winter
  • Allergen-free
  • Antibacterial
  • Removable comfort cheek and head band pads

Ventilation:

Thanks to the design of the vents, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60%. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam liner and the head/chin/mouth ventilation ensures that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area.

A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap:

The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) was especially developed by SCHUBERTH as a safety feature and is incorporated into every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the helmet cannot roll off of the head when the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted:

  • The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind
  • The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt
  • Reduces the chance of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident
  • Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides
  • Micro-lock ratchet lock

Face Shield:

The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without the use of tools.

  • City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds
  • Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging

DOT and ECE certified

Note: Helmet ships with clear face shield.

Glad I bought this Schuberth
This is a great helmet and I am really glad I bought it. Yes, I got a closeout deal on it, and that made it even sweeter. But it is well worth the full price.

The helmet has great visibility, and is very quiet, and it has good ventilation. I particularly like the ease of the drop down sun visor, and the ease of raising the external visor, and setting it partially open while in city stop and go traffic.

At first I thought the cheek pads were a bit too tight, and the chin strap a bit too far back. But after riding with this helmet for a few hundred miles I no longer feel that way. The helmet has either molded to me, or I've molded to it, whichever it is the helmet is very comfortable now.

Almost the ideal helmet for me
I prefer a modular helmet. This si the best modular helmet I have owned. There is only one feature I would change. I would eliminate the internal drop down sun visor. Instead, I would prefer a "transition" visor. It would be lighter and eliminate the require mechanism for the internal visor.
This helmet fits me. That alone makes it pleasure to wear. It is very quiet... I mean really quiet. My first few rides felt strange due to the lack of wind noise. Another feature that adds to the comfort level is the stability at higher speeds.
A great helmet... priced like a top of the line helmet.

Great Helmet at an unbelvable pice
My son has a 3 pro and kept telling me how great it is. I really wanted one but felt the price was a bit high. When Revzill put them on clearance I could not resist. I bought one for myself and one for my wife. I'm so glad I did. They are comfortable and quiet with great air flow. The convenience of the modular design and built in sun visor can't be beat. I would highly recommend this helmet to anyone.

Premium features experienced at closeout prices
I was lucky enough to get this helmet on closeout. I wouldn't have considered it otherwise - almost 1/2 off. Fit is slightly small I wear a Lg in Shoei and got the XL and it fit just right. Air flow is very good but noise rises with all the vents open - obvious when you think about it, right? Compared to the Shoei Quest, it is both quieter and flows more air(& I paid about the same price - still stoked about it). Even with the all the vents open it is quieter but I still opt to use earplugs but as I said, it is quieter than the Quest.

I use the Sena 10u on it, glad I opted for it rather than Shuberth's system. The 10u is PLENTY loud enough and very slick. Glad I watched the Youtube installs and I had no troubles. Better than the Sena 20s installed on the Shoei by far.

Bang for buck is fantastic considering that w/the Shoei I had to buy the pinlock visor and that comes standard w/the Schuberth.

If you can get one on closeout, I think you will be stoked too.

If you have the bucks for the regular price even then definitely worth it!

Almost perfect
This helmet is almost perfect. The internal sunvisor is great. I feel secure when the helmet is on. My only complaint is my other helmet which is cheap has a built-in Bluetooth. I have since added a Bluetooth and I'm quite happy. The difference between the cheap helmet in this I cannot 100% Describe. However, when you put it on you now. It's lighter weight and more durable. The size fits true to head measurement at least in my case

Great helmet even better price
I had the regular C3 for 5 years and it was time to replace. This model is a little cooler looking and performs the same so far. Love it especially at half the cost!!! I would have bought a C4 if this wasn't on sale as my next helmet. Can't say enough good things about these modular helmets from Schuberth.

Works well with installed speakers.
I purchased this helmet in preparation of a long road trip across the continent this coming Summer. It seems of the highest quality and comfort in a modular helmet. I prefer Skull Bucket Half Helmets when I ride but I realistically have to prepare for harsh weather. I am sure this helmet will suffice very well in any conditions.

Good Helmet at the reduced price
I decided to purchase C3 Pro after my HJC modular fell apart. I ride every day to work and on longer trips during the summer.
The Helmet was very small to begin with and the chin bar was extremely close almost touch my chin.

Over the last 500 miles over the last two weeks have allowed the helmet to "break in" a lot better. I was concerned it would not break in enough.

I used to wear ear plugs while riding on long distance rides on the V-Strom. I no longer need the ear plugs. The helmet is so air tight that at lights i need to pop the visor to get fresh air. The helmet can feel a little stuffy.

Airflow is not very good, city riding gets warm, and if its raining popping the visor is not an option. Something to think about if you live in a hotter climate than VA.

I do not think the helmet is worth the premium price tag of $800+ but at $400 it is easier to swallow, for the hearing, fit, and finish of the helmet.
