Sato Racing Frame Sliders Honda CBR300R

Sato Frame Sliders feature revolver-style slider pucks that are made of hard, abrasion-resistant Delrin plastic for maximum protection in the event of a crash or lowside. The sliders are designed and developed for track use, and feature a level of abrasion resistance ideally suited to protect your bike during high speed slides. Delrin plastic, with its low friction coefficient and resilient surface, demonstrates the best performance in a slide scenario. The sliders are mounted with high-strength anodized billet aluminum brackets and collars, and chrome molybdenum bolts.

Requires no modification or cutting of OEM bodywork.

Sold in pairs.

Easy to install, but instructions could be improved
It's hard to rate some sliders without crashing. So as I do not intent "sliding" on them, I'll still rate them.
They fit perfectly on my 2015 CBR300RA
Install is easy: remove the left and right fairings, and then remove the bottom fairings (2 sides).
everything comes as one bubble-wrap sheet and a separate bag, so you can easily see all the parts before installing them.
Check the instruction sheet carefully, as the left and right sliders "pegs" are not the same size.
Remove one motor bolt, remove 2 engine bolts, put the right side plate (they are so different, no chance of mistake) in, with the 2 new bolts and spacer, put back the motor bolt...
IMPORTANT:
- use thread lock for all screws (I use medium strength always). Even for your fairing.
- the instructions ask for adding liquid gasket to the engine bolts. I did that but it wasn't very clear what type, how much... and with the spacer, I'm fully unclear how a tight seal would be created. So I'm taking one star for that.
- make sure to have the service manual handy for all torque values.
- have a good calibrated torque wrench too. (for low torque values)
- have the right adapters: the new bolts use allen "keys", and you need to use them with your torque wrench.

Put the fairings back together and enjoy.
Now the 2 metal plates are connected at one point to the frame and 2 points to the engine. I hope that in case of crash the peg would take most of the shock and bend, and next the long new bolts without destroying the engine... Time will tell - or not I hope :-)
I'll add some photos if I can edit this review later.

Will these work on a 2015 Honda CB300F?
A shopper on Mar 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Note that these http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/shogun-frame-sliders-honda-cb300f-2015 would fit your bike and be much cheaper. The "R" versions have much less options due to the fairings.
Does this protect the plastics if the bike were to fall over in a parking lot?
Matthew P on Jan 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Saito precises a few things:
- this is for track only and not street legal, something like that. i.e. they do cover their a$$ in case you crash on the road and do not get the protection you expect.
- they explicitly mention that falling directly on the side might break the peg. it's made to fall at a speed, so instead of falling straight on the peg, the peg would be hit with a force at an angle.
- it's not made to protect the fairings, but to protect the engine. Fairings = cheap. Engine = expensive.

So in short, that would likely not do much to protect the fairings, and turn signals, handle bars... if the bike just falls down from its stand position.
