Great pants!
These are great pants.

My only negative comment is that the stretch parts lets the cold though more than the rest of the pants. So i get small cold spots just above my knees when riding in really cold weather.

The comfort is great, and they keep me 100% dry.

Small note on sizing:
I'm wide and bulky built, 6"tall. And have rather short legs.
A Rukka size 50 jacket gives me more than enough room for layers underneath. But when i got these, i needed a 52 to be comfortable around the thighs with anything more than boxers under. (To many squats? :# )
A size 52 short fits me perfectly snug, but comfortable.
Seems to me that Rukkas pant sizes are comparable to Alpinestars, while jackets are bigger. #I have a Alpinestars set in 52/52, and those pants are just a hint tighter than my Rukkas.)

Expensive yes, but some of the best you can get, and surely worth it for us that ride in the cold and wet.

Fantastic Pants
Just got these to go with my Rukka jacket. They fit great, are extremely comfortable and I love having the zippers on the legs so I can vent if I need to. I also like that to get the knee pads out for washing they are accessible from the outside which makes it easy for removal for cleaning. Glad a good dealer like Revzilla finally started to carry Rukka in the USA!

Great all-around pants
I'm 6', 205lbs and ordered a size 54 regular. I normally wear a size 34x34 jean, so I wasn't sure how well these would fit, but they worked out great. The waist adjusters allow for a wide range of fit. I also really like using the suspenders, though they are easily taken out since they are held in place with velcro. I could have used another inch or so in length, but they still cover the tops of my boots.

The list of features is impressive. I've always been wary of certain knee armor, but the armor in this pant is huge and still allows great articulation. Hip armor is also solid but unobtrusive. I was really surprised by the size of the AirCushion seat pad. Not too thick but definitely covers the entire seating area. Felt like I was wearing a diaper or something the first time I put them on, but now I'm used to it and have no problem. Definitely helps. And I was impressed with how much airflow the seat pad allows when the vents are open. You can feel an instant rush of air underneath your seat. Also, the Outlast liner easily zips in an out.

I've worn them in temps ranging from 40-75F and haven't had a problem yet. They might be a little warm above 80 since the thigh vents are relatively small. And unfortunately I haven't been able to test out their waterproofing yet, so I can't comment on that. Overall, really impressed so far and happy with the investment.

To match my rukka cosmic jacket, which i love very much.

They're waterproof. The quality is apparently pretty high. There are no zippers on the side which was important to me and of course, they appear to be very nice.

Wanting a pair of the Rukka cosmic's. I am concerned about size. The size chart indicates that the size 50 has up to a 34"waist ( right where I am at) and an inseam length of 32.7 inches. I normally wear a size 34-30 in most pants. The 50 or 52 Short from Rukka is at 30 " so off the bike should be better but I don't want them half-way up my boot when riding.

Can anyone roughly tell me if they run small or true to size and if anyone is about my size ( 34 waist 30"inseam) what size they are happy with? It is a tough product to research and there are almost no user reviews as Rukka has very limited distribution . Thanks

BEST ANSWER: Justin:

I am also 34X30. I feel these pants run small. I purchased a pair of 52 regulars. They fit tight in the crotch and the length seemed fine, although it was about 2" long I felt it was OK. I wear a pair of Sidi Discovery boots. They were tight but comfortable to walk around in like a new pair of jeans, but I felt that after a long time in the saddle that tightness in the crotch would start to wear on me.

I sent them back and got a pair of 54 shorts. Those fit perfectly with room for layering. Tight but no where near what the 52 regulars felt like. Length was spot on standing and riding. I also noticed that the knee pads were perfectly over my knee.

In all honesty I have a big butt, so try the 52 short. 50 will likely be way too tight. If they are to tight send them back for the 54 shorts.

Hope this helps.

Normal i wear a jeans 31 inseam I'm looking at the size chart and I m having problems choosing the right one I measured my out seam and I would be around 83 cm and my waist would be around 104 so I would be around a size 56 but the outseam on that size would be to big would That be the correct size or would they be to long?
Juan Carlos V on Dec 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I wish I could be of assistance to you, but I have to be honest and tell you that I am not qualified to answer that question with any degree of accuracy.

I have a 31 inch inseam and a bit of a pot belly. I wear size 33 inch waist in my blue jeans and I bought the size 50 pants and they seem pretty darned good. If you're thinking size 56 pants, I would imagine that you're gonna want to get the short ones.

I don't know if that's of any value to you or not....

Cheers
Can anyone confirm there's no hip armor? It's not listed in the info, but it seems kind of crazy Rukka wouldn't put hip armor in their "adv" style riding pants. I'd like to replace my Armas pants to go along with the Cosmic Jacket I have, but no hip protection is a deal breaker for me.
Also, can anyone confirm if these pants will zip closed over boots like Sidi Crossfires? I can't zip the Armas pant over them...
Thanks!
joseph F on Jan 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is hip armor in the Cosmic pants.
RE sizing questions, I advise you to watch very carefully the videos Revzilla has posted. The sizing is pretty close to what they are saying, BUT if you're a bicyclist with massive quads... Forget it as the legs are meant to fit in a somewhat trim manner.

But In terms of length, remember that your legs are going to be bent while on a bike. If there's a question better to err on the long side vs the short side, IN MY OPINION. FWIW I'm only about 5'-8" or 5-9, but wear my regular trousers in a longish length- usually about a 32 inseam. I had a pair of Armaxions in a short length and felt they were too short when riding. The "regular" Rukka length is going to be suitable, most likely for anyone my height or maybe even slightly shorter. AFAIK there's a big difference between "short", "regular", and "long" sizes, maybe 3-4-5 inches between lengths? That's a total guess BUT the "short" length I felt was too short for me.
Can you wear these with motocross boots? My armas are just a little too tight with the clunky buckles
Jim W on Sep 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I haven't tried these over motocross boots, but I suspect you'll have the same problem as with the Armas pants.

Sorry I couldn't offer you a more informed opinion...

Dave
will the Rukka Cosmic Pants attach to a Rukka Armas jacket? Are the high end Rukka products zipper compatible? Thanks.
