Excellent Jacket
Absolutely love this jacket. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and been waiting for some rain here in the north west. Today I got my wish. It was an absolute downpour. The jacket is 100% waterproof. I had one shirt and tie underneath and i did not get wet even after spending almost three hours in the rain on the highway and back roads.
I am 6'8" and 175lbs. Not very muscular and I have a large size jacket that fits like a charm. I went with a little bigger to adjust for layers that I plan on using during the winter months. I am using the RSD armor set from my old Quest and it transferred nicely into the Edwards.
A warning for those of you that are looking at the brown jacket. There is no pocket on the left upper sleeve like it shows. It looks like the black version but for some reason there two different pictures of the Edwards out there. I contacted RSD about this and I am sure it will be changed soon.
The liner is great for the colder months and I have left it in since I received the jacket. The look of the jacket is classic. I get compliments everywhere I go. The price might seem a little high but in my opinion it is well with it if your looking for a 3-4 season rainproof jacket. You get what you pay for and with RSD you get a great quality product. Between the Edwards from RSD, my Rockker Revolutions and my SIDI Mythos boots I stayed completely dry in some very nasty rain today. Highly recommend this product. Between the customer service at Revzilla and RSD you shouldn't have any issues ever with this jacket. I do wish that the pockets were a little bigger but that's just because I like to carry a lot unneeded junk with me it.

Great deal if on sale
I ended up buying this on ebay for under $200 brand new. I might pay 300, but 600 and ill pass, So I am 5'9 140 size 30 waist and a 35 inch chest. im slim and not to tall. I ended up getting a small and it fits spot on. I also have a rsd quest jacket in med and it fits good but alittle baggy like a casual jacket.
Jacket review time. This jacket can get pretty toasty and the air flow is ehh, the wrist gaitors are a little tight but loosen up with time (but not much) and it keeps air out of the sleeves. The sleeves are kinda snug, so if you got some guns it will be tight. Comes with a removable vest liner that will make you even hotter. and the storage is kinda strange.
The chest pockets are kinds pointless, The pocket in the back behind the butt is strange, aswell as the sleeve pocket. All and all 2 of the 6 pockets are ok (not 100% wp) The zippers are big and strong and the bottom zipper is a nice touch allowing you to flare out the bottom of the jacket when you sit on the bike and not giving you that big belly look.
So im 5'9 140 small fits good. I have the brown and it looks great. I normally wear my jeans right below my hip bones and this jacket stops right at the top of my front pockets or mid crotch. jacket looks great with kriega r25 backpack. In all the videos the jacket looks kinda ugly in black but in brown its has a nice tracker vibe to it. Surprisingly girlfriend approved ( style wise) So if you can find one under 300 go for it, if not id stay away its just a longer tracker/adventure jacket. But hey no wind in the butt crack ;)

Outstanding jacket, both for the look and features
I was looking for a leather jacket at a local store when stumbled upon this nice, stylish jacket. I tried the brown color and was immediately impressed with the overall built and quality. It has the weight of a thick leather jacket due to the waxed cotton, and if you add in the elbow shoulder and back protection (which I did later), it's gonna be unbearable to some. However that will give you the confidence once you put it on for a ride. Instinctively I decided to purchase this rather than leather jacket. I've 40 inch chest, medium size fits me perfectly including the armor.

The good:

- It is heavy, thick and waterproof. The weather here in Malaysia is unpredictable, depending on the monsoon. I've rode in many heavy downpours with it, keeps me dry all the way.
- The fitting is spot on, not too tight and not too lose. You can use the jacket from commuting to long distance ride. Part of it due to the waterproof feature. Comes with a liner, might be useful for a 4 season country, but definitely not here where the coolest day is 22C.
- Pockets, lots of it. Most of the time I'm using the front pocket to keep the keys, due to the inside pocket is a bit harder to reach. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just that I'm used to put everything inside my kriega backpack.
- The design and color is excellent, especially the brown one. Always got the compliment from others. The brown version looks better with time. It's only the cuff and the weight that keeps me from using this as my go-to jacket (see below).
- There's 2 vents at the back and under the arm for air circulation, provided that you are not in a start stop traffic (where there's limited airflow).
- The cuff is a love / hate kind of thing, depending on the situation. To start, it's one of the features that persuade me to purchase the jacket. It keeps the water from entering the sleeve and also the air from ballooning the jacket, but then it's too tight on my wrist. I guess it'll loosen over time, but until then I'm gonna need to spend extra minutes every morning to put on the jacket. Also due to this, you'll have to take your watch off.

The bad:
- The cuff (again). The stitches on the right cuff has broken after 6 months of extensive usage and if I don't fix it ASAP then the whole cuff will be useless. Considering on the price of the jacket, this is unacceptable.
- It doesn't comes with armor. You have to add them separately. But the RSD armor is super nice, flexible and doesn't show from outside.
- It's heavy, depending on your acceptance level, this could be a minus point. Due to this (and the cuff), I'm using the jacket strictly for commuting to work only, not as go-to jacket for short ride.

Final verdict, I'm recommending the jacket, but it has to serve specific objectives to be loved. Mine is the waterproof, safety and looks. I've few jackets, textile and leather, this has the best look and features so far.

Favorite Jacket
I love this jacket because it's a cool motorcycle jacket without screaming "MOTORCYCLE JACKET." It's the kind of jacket that someone might wear who wanted to look as cool as someone who actually rode motorcycles. Except, in this case, it is a motorcycle jacket, so you get the protection. It's fall now, and this is a perfect fall jacket for crisp fall weather.

Pros: lots of pockets, understated cool vibe, good protection (especially with the Roland Sands Armor, which I bought). The price right now is great. This is a well made jacket and for $300, I think it's a steal.

Cons: Okay, this jacket has extra pockets in places where vents should be. Why do I need pockets with vertical zippers on my chest? Why not make them vents, or pockets with mesh lining that could double as vents? Why do I need a pocket on my sleeve, when I'd rather have a vent there? Anything over 80 degrees, and this jacket is pretty hot. Some vents in the front would solve that.

Sizing: I'm about 5'9", and weigh 160. I bought a medium, and it fits me perfect. One thing I'm curious about, is the constriction at the elbow. Maybe that's intentional, kind of a way to support bike riding posture, but I prefer the experience of free range of motion in a jacket.

Upside down pocket zippers: In every jacket I've ever worn, to zip up a pocket means pulling the zipper from the bottom to the top. In this jacket, it's reversed. To zip up a pocket means zipping it down. To unzip means zipping it up--takes some getting used to as I'm fumbling for my wallet or cell phone.

Cold weather? Okay, I haven't taken it out in super cold weather. I haven't even rode with the thermal vest in, however, I have ridden it on a cool fall night, without the vest, probably in the 50's, and cold air does get in. For my torso, I imagine the vest will help that, but my arms were also getting cold.

Overall, for me, the waxed cotton style of the jacket (I have the brown one), and the protection more than makes up for the little inconveniences. However, if you are looking for that single jacket to take you from the 30's to the 90's, this jacket may not be the right choice. But if you want a jacket for that 50's to low 80's sweet spot that has character and style without appearing to try too hard, I recommend this jacket.

Great bargain with one drawback
At the closeout price of $300, one is getting a great deal. This is a great looking jacket with lots of features. Extremely will made. My one complaint is with the neoprene cuffs. They are tight and I find them annoying. It feels like you are wearing a wet suit around your wrists. I didn't realize how distracting they would be until after I cut the tags off and wore the jacket several times. Overall though, it is a great purchase at such a discount.

Good jacket for the price
I was disappointed in the lack of armor, but the jacket is very heavy. I read some complaints about the sleeves, but I personally like the tightness around the wrist as it allows me to pull my gloves over for an airtight seal. Thus far I have worn the jacket with temps between 30F and 70F, in the colder temps I have a lightweight fleece jacket under and have no issues getting cold. In the higher temps I open the vents on the back side, it gets hot when not moving, but sustainable for the commute. For $300 on sale the jacket is is worth its value. The only issue I really have is the very stiff collar and a couple of zipped vents on the front would be a nice addition for hotter weather riding.

What a great jacket at a great price
When this jacket first came out it sold for $600, I got it on clearance for $96. I was fortunate that Revzilla still had an XL in stock. The jacket is very comfortable and made very well with beautiful water proof waxed cotton material, heavy duty zippers, and plenty of pockets. I never would spend $600 on any jacket but at $96 I feel like I got the deal of the century. The only thing that I need to add is some shoulder, elbow and back protection. The jacket has the pockets for all of those but doesn't come with any. To be honest this jacket is so comfortable and good looking it can be worn without the protection as an everyday fall/winter jacket and not even used as a motorcycle jacket... at least I think so.

Great jacket, fits nice.
I almost cancelled this jacket due to some reviews that it fits small, and they only had 1 XL left (my normal size). Revzilla had already shipped it, and the nice young lady from Revzilla convinced me to try it on before I sent it back. I did and I love it. It fits well, and feels comfortable. The quality screams out to you, and I now have 2 great motorcycle jackets. Thanks Revzilla!

Very Nice
When I ordered this jacket I had no idea of what to expect. I have never touched any Roland Sands products but a $600.00 jacket for a hundred bucks? Had to check it out.
When I unboxed it I was highly impressed. This jacket screamed quality and fine workmanship. The beefy zippers, stitching, liner (both the removable and jacket) and material are all high quality. It looks good. I wear a large, fit is spot on. It only has a removable vest liner but it is very warm. It dosent need a full sleeve removable liner. No armor, you would think for the original price RS could spring for at least shoulder and elbow. But to be honest, I'm not sure I'm gonna put any in it. It just looks so good! A couple of nit picks: The neoprene inside the end of the sleeves? Why? Its not waterproof. Neoprene wont keep ya warm when wet unless you are IN the water. Blocks wind? Sure, but so will a host of other material. It feels weird, its tight and really screws with your watch! Vents in the back? Again, why? No vents in the front. Where is the air flow coming from that they are supposed to vent. I can promise you it aint coming through this jacket! Can anyone tell me what the heck the zippered pocket on the sleeve is for? Style I guess. Again I havnt ridden it in the rain but based on the material and craftsmanship I am pretty confident it is as advertised, waterproof. It is very warm and windproof. Very comfortable while riding. This is a cold to cool weather jacket.
Overall, this is a very high quality stylish jacket that is going to look good on and off the bike. Its nice. I LIKE IT.

Best Bang for the Buck
I could not resist this jacket at the black Friday price. Turns out to be a very nice jacket. Neoprene cuffs are a very nice feature. A bit heavy for summer but nice when its cooler. Make sure you buy a size smaller than normal. I wear a 42 US /52 EU (usually a large) and a medium fits about right.
