What I was looking for...
Great product. Fits nearly perfectly (My arms are a bit long for the size) and looks great. Lots of features. Will likely be buying the leather version as well.

Excellent cold weather jacket
I bought this jacket for the mild winter in South Texas. I rode 35 miles in 32 degree weather last night and couldn't feel the cold at all. The zip in liner kept me warm even at highway speeds. I'll be buying the pants very soon. My only complaint is that the sleeves are a little short. I have longer winter gloves so they covered the gap. I ride a 2013 Sportster 48 with low bars so I'm reaching a little farther than normal cruiser riders. I'm 6'1, 210 and the XL is a good fit with the exception of the sleeves.

Great jacket so far
The 2-way zipper is a bit cumbersome and hard to disconnect when unzipping. I'm 5.9, 160, 40in and the medium is pretty snug. Worked well on a mountain trip, 45-80 degrees. Pulled the liner out and it was comfortable, though 85+ degrees might get warm. Recommend

one word awsome
This is the warmest jacket I have rode with.
I took the bike out it was about 39 degrees, not a drop of wind went through it. Very comfortable ride. Also need to credit the staff at Revzilla, they are awsome!!!!!

A well made jacket with a look to match
Great overall value and fit with no exterior advertising.

Minor flaws, but worth it.
The jacket looks and feels great. I was hard pressed to find something as casual and functional with this amount of armor. The airflow is fantastic and I've puttered around town on 100 degree days without a problem. When it gets warm and you start to sweat, the interior mesh wicks away moisture, so you never really feel sweaty.

Those front pockets are a pain to get into though. Sure they provide for a lot of storage, but I don't know how long that velcro is going to hold out. There's a lanyard inside one of the breast pockets as well that, after about a week, is about to break. The seam tying it to itself and around the lanyard is poor and the plastic protector piece to prevent damage never stayed where it was supposed to. (A quick knot above the plastic piece by tying the lanyard around itself helped, but it won't last long).

I'm an athletic build, and the jacket can be a little tight at the upper arms. The liner for cold riding hasn't been on the road yet, but I barely fit into the jacket with it in and only a Tshirt. Length was good though, so I had to decide to deal with it being a bit tight or send it back and gamble on getting an oversize XL.

Overall, it's great... for now. I just hope it survives the season.

Could use a few improvements
This jacket fit fine, everywhere except in the bend of the elbows. When you have the liner in, when I would bend my arms just trying to zip up or button the collar, it would pinch very tight in the creases of my elbows. It was so tight that it would raise the skin and make it look like my blood was just underneath my 1st layer of skin. I still kept wearing it, hoping it would break in. I really don't understand why it has a double zipper up the front. While I was riding into work one morning, the front zipper parachuted on me, only staying together at the top and bottom. I pulled over and tried to bring the zipper down, and even tried bringing the bottom up. Well the top zipper broke off, so i had to use the bottom zipper to zip it up to my neck, then back down so it would be together and not flying open. I called the customer service and they sent me a return label and filed it under manufacturer warranty. The jacket was on back order, so I got refunded the money and ended up buying a different jacket....which is the most AMAZING summer jacket.

Features and benefits, very well highlighted by the Revzilla video on this product and other jackets I considered.

Overall Jacket seems like a sturdy build based off videos and reviews. Seems like a good 3 1/5 to 4 season option and reasonably priced. Style seem to fit the bill for cruisers.

I wanted a neutral textile jacket that looked good on my Triumph Bonneville. I'm done with leather. I ride far too often and have had surprise rain ruin too many good jackets.
Adam W on May 2, 2015
looks like a nicely thought out jacket that is versatile and will work for my daily commuting needs in various weather. It also looks a bit more subtle such that it can be worn around off the bike without looking too loud or motorcycle specific.

I really like the style of this jacket. Very sleek & understated. I needed a warm waterproof winter jacket, the Scout is perfect for me at a great price.

The material is strong and durable, the components are durable. There are a lot of features: armor, pockets, vents, removable lining.

Is the shoulder and elbow armor and back pad removable?
A shopper on Nov 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: yes it is removable. However I no longer have this jacket due to poor construction. The seems though out this jacket failed and couldn't be fixed. While I like textile jackets,, get the leather version of this jacket.
I am considering this for NC summer riding and don't want a full mesh jacket. How hot is this thing with vents open?
A shopper on Jun 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I agree with Mike D that at high speed cruising the air flow is pretty good. However, in MI last weekend with temperatures around 80 and moderately high humidity I was sweating inside the jacket at low speed or when stopped at traffic lights. NC certainly has higher overall temps and more humidity, so a thinner jacket would probably work better.
Is this jacket waterproof? If so, Which layer has the waterproof protection? The internal liner or the external jacket?
Javier B on Jun 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The other layer seems pretty waterproof, and the inner best had a coating that seems to keep it dry as well. I will say, the jacket isn't quite long enough to provide good rain protection around the waist, even with the matching pants.
The description says that the thermal collar stows back into the jacket when not in use, how exactly?
A shopper on Dec 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It has a large Velcro patch. You can fold the collar down when not needed or remove it and put it in your pocket when not needed. Nice option. I really like this jacket and I do have many.
