You get what you pay for
So I toiled a bit to buy these given the cost however, I am so glad I did. I just returned from a 2600 mile trip where temps where in 20's and these kept my feet warm, dry and comfortable. They are worth every penny however, keep velcro away from them and I find that they run just a bit large. They are really warm so make your decisions to wear them appropriately .

The best winter riding sock so far!
I have worn these twice in rides where the temp was in the low-mid 40's and hate to even consider what the wind chill is at 55 mph. Regardless, I purchased these socks to do what my other non-riding socks were supposed to do - keep my feet warm - and they did just that.

On yesterday's ride, it was cold and very windy so I decided to put a pair of sock liners (Wigwam) on first, and not once during my three hour ride were my feet the slightest bit cold. No electric, no batteries but still warm and no issues with the cold or wind chill.

Great socks! Will be another pair to have for multi-day rides.

Expensive, but the best socks I've experienced
The Rev'it winter socks at nearly $40 a pair provide a pretty good dose of sticker shock. Is it really possible for socks to be worth that much? I've tried three or four other top brands, each of which cost about half the price of the Rev'its, and they simply don't compare. They tend to feel thin and cheaply made, but worse, after a day of riding my feet hurt.

Frankly, my feet hurt regardless of the socks I'm wearing, but they feel much more comfortable while riding, and hurt much less at the end of the day, in the Rev'it socks. I wear Sidi Gore Tex Adventure touring boots and I suspect these aggressive, heavy boots benefit from the additional padding provided by the Rev'it socks.

The Rev'it socks have an interesting feature about which I'm not sure if it's for real, or a marketing scam. The socks are labeled "left" and "right," supposedly designed to fit differently on each foot. I've been in a rush and put them on the wrong feet and can't say I noticed a difference. I'd be curious to hear other views on this.

In anticipation of a winter tour - say 800 miles from Athens, GA to Washington, DC - I've been acquiring warmer clothes, including a second pair of Rev'it touring socks. They appear to be a good example of, "you get what you pay for."

I do have a Honda XR650R as indicated, but recently acquired a KTM 990 SMT. Any touring will be on the KTM. God I love that motorcycle. I swear I'm not making this up, but it's ... how do I put this. It's perfect.

Is it wrong to love a motorcycle? If so, I'm a very bad person.

A sock is a sock. This is a glove for your feet!
Excellent sock. It's terry construct makes it comfortable as well as aiding in ventilation. They're even indexed for left & right foot. They keep my feet warm and dry. To me they seemed over priced a bit. That wasn't the case once worn. They're worth every penny to me. These came by way of a salesman's suggestion. He was spot on.

Great Winter touring/commuter socks!
These a very technical riding socks that perform exactly as expected but aren't to thick to not fit into your boots. My only complaint is that the material around the toes is quite thin wich not aid in keeping them warm, but I assume that is to help maintain the fit.

excellent and comfortable, runs large
The socks are very comfortable and did a better job than my everyday socks at keeping my feet warmer in the cool/cold weather. They do add bulk to my feet, so if your boots just fit you with thin socks, these may feel too tight with the bulkier socks. I am right at the edge with these socks, snug but not uncomfortable. Also, they run a size big. I exchanged the first pair for one size smaller and they fit correctly.

Great Socks
WOW! Got my Rev'it Winter socks today. I'm a woman, I wear a size 7-7 1/2 Size shoe so I followed the size chart and bought size 39-41. I put them on right away, fit like a glove and oh so comfy/toasty! GREAT QUALITY...worth the big bucks! Colors are cool too! Can't wait to ride with them on. Infact, I am about to order Another pair of Winter socks AND a pair of the Rev'it Summer socks. Do not hesitate...buy them!

Even more comfortable than the summer sock
Great fit, very comfortable material and very warm. Nice and long for those boots that are known to chafe.

What else do you need in a winter sock, right!

A great sock
Wow these socks actually make a big difference, much more than expected! On a 7,000 mile trip http://ridealaskasolo.blogspot.com/ they kept my feet dry and quite comfortable, I brought three pair of riding socks all different brands and on the way to Alaska these were by far the best, I actually preferred waring these after thee days of use than a clean pair of the others, yes that good, ok so on my return trip I used them 6 days in a row because they were still better than waring the other tow brand socks, that reminds me I'm buying two more pair of these socks, to replace the others!
