The Ruger LCP of Motorcycle Armor!
Let's make one thing clear. This is not "race" quality armor, nor should you put it in any gear you expect to ride through the canyons in. That said, this is one game-changing piece of armor for casual motorcycle clothing.

I've tried most armor inserts, since I can't stand awkward knee pads or putting my elbows on tables only to feel like I have a pair of pocket-novels stuck up my sleeves. I can't stand it. I've tried Alpìnestars Bio Armor, Icon D3O (levels 1 and 2), Forcefield NeT, Roland Sands...and the list goes on and on.

To this day, honestly, my favorite armor is Forcefield NeT. It's the softest, lightest, most comfortable CE level 2 armor you can buy. The only issue is that it's annoyingly expensive, and it still has some bulk to it. While that's fine while wearing true motorcycle gear and not trying to hide it, if you're just going to the corner supermarket or commuting to a day job, it just isn't practical nor convenient to dress like your ready for the track, using protection to match. That's where this armor comes in.

This armor is unbelievably comfortable! You’ll have to touch it just to make sure it’s there! In my case this armor came with my REV'IT! Tracer Overshirt - and that certainly is it's natural habitat. Casual wear not designed to necessarily look like it's made for riding. If you’re tired of people wondering what is that saucer shaped bulge at the knees of your favorite kevlar jeans, or your shoulder armor makes it look like you belong in the 90's, this is just the solution. It's as flexible as it get's, vents as if it weren't there, reaches CE level 1 protection and it’s cheap. Regarding weight, it only weighs 85gr per pad! Only Dainese’s Proshape Armor comes close, and I found that one to be way more flimsy. What more could I ask for?

Regarding protection, this is bare minimum, and I won't stop repeating it. Thank god it's CE1 certified, because if it wasn't a reputable company saying so, I wouldn't believe it. As of now I'll take their word for it. Just don't expect anything more than it promises. This is what you want for those situations where the alternative is not wearing anything.

All in all, think of this as the Ruger LCP of motorcycle armor, with a Glock 19 being the Forcefield NeT. You know you should be carrying better, but it sure as hell is better than nothing.

Does this come in a set or is it only one piece if armor (would I need to buy 2 to replace elbow pads)
Also would this work as a replacement in older jackets such as the Revit Roamer leather jacket?
A C on Jan 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: it comes in pairs. i replaced my rev'it flatbush armor with these, so they should fit the roamer as well. they are extremely flexible and thin, you don't notice them at all.
Is this the correct knee armor for the Revit Philly 2 and Rockefeller Jeans?
