Comfortable and well made.
I first was surprised by the weight of these jeans. Well made with great materials. Very comfortable as well on and off the bike. Armor bends with your knee so not noticeable.

I am 5,10" - 185 lbs. I wear a 33"/34" waist/30" inseam on most of my Levi's and Wranglers with the 33" waist fitting me the best after 15 minutes coming out of the dryer. 34" waist on me fits but tends to drop a bit.

I was concerned as most about sizing thinking I needed a 33" but that waist size only comes in a 34" inseam which I knew would be to long. I was hoping not having to go get them tailored fitted.

After reading many reviews about Rev' it jeans it seemed to me they fit large so I went with the 32/32.

Perfect Fit!!!

Great styling with Excellent protection (Armor Included)
Let's start off with stats..

Stats:
I'm 5' 9.5", 185lbs, with 35" measurement around the belly button (true waist), and a 34.5" measurement around where I normally wear my pants.

Fit:
Straight to loose fitting, definitely not slim or skinny

Sizing:
I initially ordered a size 34 based off a gear geek's recommendation. When the jeans arrived, I instantly knew they were too large. These jeans are cosmetically sized, not "true waist" sized. The size 34x32 have an inner waist measurement 37" with a 33" inseam measured with a tape measurer. The legs fit quite baggy on me (I prefer slim fitting jeans). I returned these pair.

I ordered a replacement pair, size 32. These too are rather large. The size 32x32 have an inner waist measurement of 36.5" with a 33" inseam measured with a tape measurer. The inseam is consistent across both sizes. The legs fit better with this size, though the waist is still too large. I have to wear a belt to keep the pants from sagging as they are on the heavier side.

Protection/Armor:
Knee and Hip armor are included. The hip armor could account for the looser fitting waist, though it's non-intrusive and fit well in the hip pockets. The knee armor is a different story. Though they are extremely flexible, slim, and almost disappear while standing, the left knee pocket was sewn slightly small, so it bunches up a bit.

When in the riding position, they cover a good portion of my knee, but like other riding jeans I've tried in the pants, they protect more of the inner knee. Again they have a tendency to bunch up, which causes a slight discomfort when gripping the tank with your legs. I ride a Yamaha R6, so gripping the tank with your legs is mandatory.

The PWR|shield material is thick and robust. The PWR|shield lines the entire length of the jeans (not just at the knee and seat like lower priced riding jeans). This is a very robust pair of riding jeans. The tradeoff is they are heavier and have a tendency to be warm. This pants is reported to have 6 seconds of abrasion resistance (comparable to leather pants).

Misc:
The jeans do not have a reflective material at the cuff. They do come with boot straps, which I don't like as they get in the way. I have to roll them up behind my boot and hope they do not get caught on my pegs. Apparently it is one of the reasons why the jean gets a CE level rating. I'm thinking about cutting them off..
These straps came "chewed up" looking brand new out of the bag.

Summary:
Overall I really like the Rockefeller jeans. The dark wash is pleasing to the eye and the jeans have nice style even though I would prefer a straight-slim fit. Yes there are still little miscues with the knee armor, loose fitting waist, and chewed up boot straps, but the technicality and safety aspect of the jean overcome these tradeoffs. I feel very protected on the bike.

Great but order a smaller waist
These arrived today. Overall quality is excellent. The style is nice and not over the top. Very comfortable as well. Hope to never drop my Multistrada, but feel better knowing that I have exceptional protection. The only problem is the fit at the waist. My normal size for jeans (and any pant) is 32 waist, 34 inseam, so I ordered my size. The length is great but the waist is about 2 inches too large and would literally fall off without a belt. To remedy this, I ordered a 30 and 31 waist to try and will return the other two. As usual, Revzilla customer service has been excellent in making sure I get the fit I'll need.

Quality riding jeans, but very hot!
I have been riding in these jeans for about a year. I typically wear riding pants such as Klim Latitudes or Rev'it Tornados but wanted something for going to local restaurants and bars. They look good and they are comfortable as long as it is no hotter than 75 degrees with low humidity. Once it gets warmer, the protective liner sticks to your thighs and makes you want to keep pulling them up. They run large in the waist, as others have already mentioned. I typically wear a 34w to 35w in jeans. These are 33wx34l and they fit good. They are too long, but they do not offer a 32 inseam in odd sizes. They are low rise, but they look good. My only complaint about the looks is the stitching on the back pockets. I'm 62 and do not like to advertise my sagging butt.

They are made very well. I just received a pair of Bull-it straight (2017) jeans and they were nice and a little lighter than the Rev'its, but the comfort liner and armor pockets seems better made on the Rev'its. The Rev'it jeans also have a softer hand than the Bull-it jeans.

Conclusion: I recommend these jeans for mild temperatures. I do not recommend them for hot and humid temperatures. Between the lack of air flow and the weight, you will be constantly pulling them up, only to find them stuck to your thighs.

Excellent looks but quite warm.
FIT: I recently bought these in size 33x34. I normally wear 34x34 in Levis, and the Rockefellers fit me very well; so I'd say they fit slightly large at the waist. In terms of length, they are the right length to walk around but slightly short when riding. I would have preferred a 36 length after trying these. Since I live in Bolivia, exchanges aren't practical so I'll keep and make do with them
PROTECTION: The inserts are comfortable both at the hips and knees. Haven't fallen yet so I can't report on actual effectiveness. However, I'm not happy with the fit at the knees as the inserts rotate inward and upward, leaving the outside and lower knee parts unprotected. Maybe a 36 length would've worked better for me, lengthwise, but I doubt it would have solved the rotational shift.
LOOKS: Like they way they fit and look. Top review aesthetically.
AIRFLOW: I live in the tropics and the Rockefellers are very warm, No airflow felt here...I can foresee their warmth will be the biggest objection to their use. I don't recommend these for hot and humid climates.

Great pant
The jeans fit exactly as the size chart recommended. Definitely feel more confident riding compared to regular jeans.

Keep in mind; these jeans will be hot to wear. Most noticeable when off the bike.

The jeans do ride low on the hips, thus a belt is mandatory given the weight, unless your style is to wear low-rider, below your butt crack.

Heavy and Thick
Bought these from another site due to a random $100 Clearance discount that is no longer available. (Sorry Revzilla) but reviewing them here because this is where everyone goes for reviews. What made them worth the price to me was that discount and the fact that the armor was already included. That being said, I've been riding in them with the tags on trying to make up my mind on whether to keep them or go with something lighter.

They are thick and heavy. Weight is like 4 pairs of regular jeans, and they are about 1/4in thick: thin denim, thin liner, mostly kevlar in between. I live in Houston and rode for a few hours in them at 85F, and I didn't notice additional discomfort over my normal airy textile pants.

They are more comfortable than my textile pants. Air flow is average, probably worse than my airy textile pants, but better than my full protection pants.

Use of the ankle stirrup forces you to wear these inside your boot if it goes above the ankle. Wouldn't be an issue with below ankle shoes. I plan to use these with my ankle high boots and it's just a little awkward looking. For my full height adventure boots, I have to stuff this kevlar inside them. Don't need kevlar inside my calf height boots.

From the outside, definitely cant tell they are protective jeans. The armor is very thin and very flexible, like a silicone mat, which makes me question how well it can actually absorb impact.

Comfortable Jeans
The jeans are stretchy so they fit large, I could have ordered 1 size down but I just use a belt to cinch it tight.

First pair of jeans were defective, the left knee pocket was super small and couldn't fit the knee protector.

The knee protectors are in the right position for me, especially for having a short inseam.

There's no reflectivity on the bottom inside of jean leg on either of the jeans I got. Not a deal breaker for me.

Low Rise, Huge Waist
These are great jeans, with two exceptions.
1. There are low rise. The rise (crotch to waist) is 10" instead of the standard 12" that you'd find on a pair of Levi 501's. This means you can choose between pulling them up to normal height and giving yourself a wedgie in the process, or wearing them as intended and show a little crack while riding.

2. The waist is huge. I ordered a 32 long, and the waist was a full 36", instead of a 33" or 34" that you'd expect (vanity sizing).

I didn't get to try these out riding because I'm going to return them, but the coolmax liner feels awesome, and I'm sure it would have been very comfortable while riding on a warm day.

Great Quality - Length is Misrepresented
After the poor fit of the Lombard, I was so excited when the Rockefellers slid on well and fit around my waist. The material is great, offers a lot of protection and you hardly notice the armor. However, I ordered the 36L, my inseam in all pants, and these jeans sat 1-2" above the top of my foot. I held them against other jeans I own with a 36L: Levi's, 7's and Lucky Brand - all of which were 2-3" longer than the Rev'it. I then got a tape measure and, sure enough, the 36L Rev'it's inseam measured just under 33". To be sure, I measured all other brands I had pulled out and each registered between 35-36".

Feeling a little cheated here, Rev'it! Would two more inches of Cordura denim have broken the bank? Now I'm forced to pay to ship yet another pair of jeans back and continue my search for one that doesn't overstate the length.

2 Questions
1: In the video Anthony mentions at around the 3 minute mark that the jeans are a 33 waist and 32. I don't see a drop down option for 32" and 36" inseam for the 33" waist. Is it available?

2: It is mentioned the strap was removed from the cuff and that it is used to go underneath the boot. How is it attached?
Thanks,
-Rich
Richard J on Jan 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 1. Not available... However, I have a 36" inseam and had purchased the 33" x 34" which work pretty well. However, take a look at the Klim K Fifty 1 Jeans. They have a 32" x 36". These fit me PERFECT!
2. The strap is Velcro and is stitched to the inside of the pant. Not crazy about this. Tried to use it inside the boot. Not good. Outside the boot. Really not good. I just let it hang off the back of my boot for the time being. Will most likely remove it.
