REV'IT Intercept Jacket

The REVIT Intercept Jacket adopts the iconic look of a baseball or tanker jacket and carries it out in an abrasion resistant Cordura denim outer shell with PWR | shield lining at the elbow. Thanks to the use of extremely thin CE-rated Seesmart protectors at shoulders and elbows, the Intercept looks like a regular baseball jacket without sacrificing safety or performance. The protection can be optionally upgraded by installing a CE-level 2 approved Seesoft back protector insert (sold separately). The jacket is equipped with a short connection zipper to link to REV’IT pants, or to the REVIT Safeway belt when wearing jeans. The material’s mechanical stretch enhances comfort while the slit pockets and chest pocket give the Intercept jacket its distinctive looks. Subtle laminated reflection at the back elbow aids visibility in the dark.

Great jacket for in-between weather
Bought this jacket because I liked the style and I didn't want to wear full leathers in the spring/summer. I bought the medium and it fits perfectly in the shoulders, arms, and chest.

It is a baseball style jacket so it's definitely not as long but I expected that and don't mind. I'm tall and slim so I'm used to that fit.

Cool jacket
Living in FL, you need a jacket that can give you some level of protection and look good at the same time. This jacket fits the bill!!! I needed a jacket that was good for cool to cold days when riding in Jax FL when we get that chilly winterish weather. Perfect just put in my hoody and clima vest and I'm good. When it gets warmer in the Mid day take off clima vest and still good. Wouldn't recommend for summer since this jacket airflow is minimal. Best part is I can ride my bike to the airport and take my jacket with me in my flight. Wore it will in New York recently and did great as a winter jacket with my hoody only.

Got a lot of compliments about it and is now my main go too jacket for FL winter rides and spring and fall.

Not your run of the mill jacket
Great jacket that looks stylish! Great purchase. I love the fit, light weight but can still keep me warm on cold mornings.

Is there a slimmer backprotector that fits this jacket than the RB, perhaps from forecfield?

Welcome to our detailed breakdown of the new REV'IT Intercept Jacket. Oh it's Euro, it's part of the 16 city collection from REV'IT and you love it's Euro. This is the Intercept. Baseball, varsity inspired with a dash of Karl Lagerfeld. They're really going for something unique here, very European in inspiration.

In my opinion, this jacket, which actually covers a lot of technical bases and has a great feel to it, is going to cover you fall and spring. Heavier than you're expecting, has a quilted liner, done in COOLMAX, it's going to offset some of the heat if you get closer to the summer, but really you're best bet is going to be that fall interim season type climates. Not meant for the winter, not meant for the summer, but it is meant for style in the city. So regardless of what you're riding, if the style works for you, the Intercept should work. Now, before I get into some of the nuance and the fit, let's talk about the armor.

I like where they went with the armor. This is the CSmart [SP] armor. It's flexible, it's CE level one, it's part of the new REV'IT collection of armor, their doing a blend now. This is not going to throw the casual or fashion inspired nature off of the Intercept to my left. Doesn't come with a back protector, but shoulder and elbow, you're rock solid and is removable.

This is more of what I would consider a sport or city fit. And one of the things that's different about this jacket is even the collar, it kind of accentuates more of a clean line. The feel of it is actually 12.5 ounce CORDURA. So it moves with you, without being overly stretchy.

Now, remember use the size chart. See if you like the Intercept. I think that it's going to be one of those interesting pieces that's a standout piece, but I do think that REV'IT took some chances with it. We'll see how well it works in the U.S.

Now, diving into some of the nuances. Twelve and a half ounces, that's like jeans, that's pretty heavy. And when you look at it, there's some oxide zippers going on here, they used some other snaps to finish it off, two basic hand warmer pockets, you have a style pocket on the outside. What I actually really like about it, is just like we saw on the Stealth, which was one of the new collection here from the city side as well, those beefed up knit style cuffs. They're not soft, they're not going to catch the Velcro, they're more tightly knit. I can actually say "tightly knit" and it makes sense. But they're tightly knit at the cuff and at the collar, flexibility without getting in the way of your base layers.

We look at the size CSmart armor, shoulder, elbow, you have reflective on the back of the elbow, which is a nice touch. Remember, you have that C knit cuff down towards the waist, that's waist length, but you don't have any buckles or anything funky going on on the side. There is also venting here, keep that in mind.

No back protector, you can upgrade to a level 2 C Soft type RV, but again, in and around town commuter ride, a city ride, a scooter rider, you're going to have a great option here. Now if we look at the collar, again, that tight knit collar, mid-height, flexible and it's going to be comfortable on the inside as well. And from the collar, if you work your way down, remember, you have a short connection zip for the safety belt, from REV'IT, and you do have a jeans loop.

Remember, it's a quilted internal liner, so it's a little beefier from the warmth standpoint, but that is COOLMAX, so it's going to deflect some of the heat as you're getting closer to those summer riding months of the year. It's not waterproof, but this jacket doesn't have direct venting, so again, not the best option if it gets really warm out. More of a casual piece, coupled for really fall and spring riding. We look at it, you have your Napoleon pocket here. One of the smart things that REV'IT did is they said, "You know, there's a great chance you're probably wearing this in the upright position, but there's also a good chance that you might be leaning on your tank". So they covered the bottom of the zipper, so you're not going to scratch your tank.
