Great shoes !
These are my first motorcycle shoes. I have wide feet and have always had trouble finding motorcycle shoes or boots, especially Italian brands, but these fit me well. I gave them 3 on a durability scale regarding I only have them for 2 weeks. At first you have to break them in and they´ll get wider, since they´re quality leather. And made in a country known for quality shoes: Portugal. The only downside is if you´re in a hurry you´ll need time to get them on and off, the shoelaces don´t slip that easily. Nothing beats a zip. Great for the motorcycle and everyday day use, like Anthony says its a 3 out of 10 in a stiffness scale. AI have a naked and a slight bit of air gets in, but once you get used to it you won´t notice it. Comfortable and casual, looking like your everyday sneaker.

A premium riding shoe worth putting on your piggies
There were 3 things I HAD to get from my riding boots when I was looking for a new pair.
1. protection, I had 3 friends in the past year receive pretty serious foot injuries from come offs.
2. comfort. I absolutely did not want to change boots between riding, working, schooling, or just walking around.
3 style. the least important, but the easiest to achieve

The protection for such a comfortable boot is outstanding. there are other boots that I would argue are just as comfy with maybe more protection, but then they start to venture into the sporty race shoe kind of look.

The airflow is sufficient, but it's not going to be the airiest shoe you'll put on. That being said, i am not a very sweaty person in general but I do tend to run hot. I have no complaints thus far.

and as far as walkability, these things are better than most of my tennis shoes, i wear them even when i know darn well i wont be riding that day.

If i had one complaint, it would be similar to the above review. they are not easy on or easy off. i think mine are broken in enough to where I can get away with loosening only the the top 3-4 laces, but if you like your shoes to fit a little tighter, then you might have to loosen a few more than that. the waxed laces is a nice touch for durability purposes, but really does slow you down when you need to get them on and off.

overall, i would buy them again. they aren't cheap by any means, but i really appears they should last at LEAST a year or two. I've been wearing them virtually every day for the past 3 months.and I couldn't be happier.

Hope my review helps. and enjoy!

(side note, this is literally the only piece of Rev'iT gear that i didn't have to go up 2 sizes in. and i'm pretty hipster and like my clothes fitted.)

Good for summer heat but one design flaw
The styling of the shoe cannot be beat. As they break in they become more flexible. My complaint lies with the suede on the tips of the boot. After just 2 wearings the top layer of suede ripped at the tip of the shoe wher the my foot hits the gear shifter. I feel this could have been prevented by designing the shoe with a more durable leather tip vs delicate suede (I also have leather shoes with which tearing is not an issue). I wouldn't buy this shoe again based on my experience with my bike They are an attractive shoe though.

Passable but not great, especially for the price.
After a few days of wearing these, I wish I could return them. If they don't break in, I will end up selling them used at a loss.

I have a 30 minute highway commute to my job where the dress is business casual. I typically wear leather or textile european-style shoes at work and riding boots on the bike. I was sick of doing the shoe-change dance in the parking lot twice per day and needing to stuff the boots in a pannier. I wanted something that gave (most of) the protection of a low boot plus some water resistance, but that looked and felt enough like a regular shoe that I could wear them all day. Options from Dianese, Speed and Strength, and others had too many silly logos and embellishments. If the TCX X-Waves were still available, that would have been a no-brainer. TCX Street Ace looked like an OK option, but the rough/sueded leather of the brown colors make them look less professional, plus they seem a bit bulky compared to the X-Waves. That left these Rev'It Grands, which were more expensive but I figured/hoped that meant better quality.

They do have good build quality. The leather feels nice, they are substantial and seem to offer good protection. The soles are substantial (maybe too thick; more on that later), with solid tread that grips well.

However, these are not a European style sneaker with motorcycle protection as I'd hoped. They are a short riding boot thinly disguised as a sneaker. They won't fool you otherwise while you wear them, and they probably won't fool your coworkers, either.

Getting them on and off is tough and takes at least a few minutes. With the laces pulled all the way loose, the opening is barely enough to squeeze my foot through, and the loop at the back isn't big enough or located right to let you grip it to pull them on. You have to really loosen the laces, use a shoe horn to wedge your foot through, then work the laces back tight. Maybe that'll loosen over time.

Once they are on, they are stiffer and heavier than my old short riding boots. Walking in them is do-able but not particularly pleasant. I look like I'm walking in boots rather than a sneaker just from my stance and gait. Their boot-ness is also given away with the footsteps: heavy like a boot. The comfort is what you'd expect from a boot, too, and not from a shoe: stiff, with little flex and some pinch points if you try to flex them. This will hopefully get better as they break in.

One area that will not break in is the heal "cockpit". The area that cradles your heal is rock-hard TPU. Reach in the shoe and tap the inside of the heal and it sounds like you're tapping on a wood door. I understand this needs protection but it should have a layer of cushioning over it for comfort. At the end of a day wearing these, I find myself mincing around because my heals are sore from contact with this. The toe box and ankles are stiff and reinforced, too, but they are cushioned for comfort and feel better.

These do not breath. It's winter here in Northern California so temperatures are mild sweatshirt weather. I went for a one mile walk that didn't register on my body-heat-o-meter but my feet were cooking. In the summer I expect these shoes to be unbearable if I'm going to walk or sitting in traffi. For this lack of breathability, they should be waterproof and not just water resistant. After 2 hours at my desk, my feet still felt like they were in a sauna until I pulled the boots off.

Once they were off, a nearby co-worker asked "what's with the moon boots?" Rev'It went overboard on the sole thickness and tread, compromising the sneaker look. Coupled with the high tops and substantial boot-like shape overall, there is a moon boot style when your pant leg isn't obscuring them. Definitely not as inconspicuous as I was going for.

Wearing a wool hiking sock helps with the lack of ventilation by wicking away moisture and also helps with the lack of cushioning in the heal and elsewhere. This can affect fit, of course. I have long, narrow feet and normally wear a size 10.5 or 11 shoe. I bought size 44 and these fit just about right. I am trying them with thick hiking sock and I wish I'd bought a size bigger to accommodate the extra bulk.

The color is fine but not my first choice. It's not brown or tan but somewhere between khaki and a pale skin tone. It's light enough that I noticed smudges after the first ride where they rubbed against my bike and they continue to pick up signs of wear due to the light color. I may apply a dark-colored leather treatment and hope that darkens them. I would have preferred a couple shades darker. The black version might help, and would help hide the thick soles since they are the same color as the uppers. I wasn't looking for a black shoe, though.

In conclusion, these are passable but not great. If they were $100 less, they'd be a decent value and I would tolerate the downsides. At over $200, I expected better and feel disappointing and ripped off.

Love them, but had to return
They are really nice looking shoes. I was in the market for something thats meant for riding, but I can also go on casual dinner dates in. However, I cannot put them to use because the fitment just isn't right for me. Length and width is true to size, but the heel guard its the bottom of my ankle in a very uncomfortable way when I stand and relax in them. I couldn't let a $230 pair of shoes be uncomfortable. I think they would be fine for other people though. They are awesome looking, lightweight, and worth a try.

Are these shoes narrow like the Revit Turini? Thanks.
Jonathan I on Sep 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: not at all. I have a standard foot bed, and after breaking in i would even say you could consider this a WIDE if you wear them a little looser.
I HAVE THE STELVIO SHOES AT SIZE 44 WHICH FIT PERFECT BUT I NORMALLY WEAR A 45 OR 46. DO THE GRAND SHOES RUN THE SAME SIZE OR SMALLER OR LARGER THAN NORMAL SIZING..?
A C on May 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I am afraid I may not be a lot of help. I am a new rider and these are my first pair of riding shoes. A 42 fits me loosely (although comfortably) and I typically wear a 9.5-10 US (42-43) in everyday shoes. Although I have no other riding shoes to compare to, I recommend erroring on the smaller side
